A system and method are proposed that will leverage language models from multiple language machine translations (MT) for better speech recognition. Wherever ambiguity exists in interpreting speech, the system identifies each transcribed option of homophones for interpretation through translation. The system then translates each sentence corresponding to the options of homophones into multiple languages. The method comprises a scoring system that is used by the machine translation system for assessing translations whereby the translation which makes less sense is given a lower score. This paper introduces Google Votes, an experiment in liquid democracy built on Google's internal corporate Google+ social network. Liquid democracy decision-making systems can scale to cover large groups by enabling voters to delegate their votes to other voters. This approach is in contrast to direct democracy systems where voters vote directly on issues, and representative democracy systems where voters elect representatives to vote on issues for them. Liquid democracy systems can provide many of the benefits of both direct and representative democracy systems with few of the weaknesses. By storing the annotation metadata on a centralized server, content creators and advertisers can reduce the risk that annotations will be lost when an annotated image file is recompressed or slightly altered. The system first associates the annotations with the image file by performing a lazy hash or by using image steganography (for example, a digital watermark) and stores that information in a centralized server. When the system renders a second image file, it checks the server for a matching hash value or watermark. This paper describes an automated system for injecting advertisements into audiovisual content streams played on physical digital media, such as DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs. The system can include a display, audio/visual receiver, and a playback device.
