Personalized Contact Center Experience Through Customer Feedback Loop, Amit Agnihotri, Shrutina Agarwal, Subrajit Dhal, Ananth Krishna Hegde
Defensive Publications Series
Currently, organizations rely on contact centers for a number of functions including, for example, servicing customer inquiries, conducting market research, and selling new products. However, due to poorly designed interactive voice response (IVR) scripts and flows (including multiple menu hops), speech recognition issues in conversational IVR flows, inefficient routing, poor agent skill sets, etc., contact centers often have a poor reputation for handling customer calls. Within a contact center, the ability to immediately respond to customer feedback is a great challenge, and a lack of such an ability often results in customer dissatisfaction. Techniques are presented herein that support a …

Mitigating The Glass-Weave Effect Inside A Bga, Yongchao Ji, Greg Fu, Siyuan Yang, Jun Liu, Mengjie Hu, Maofei Yu
Defensive Publications Series
For a printed circuit board (PCB) that includes many high-speed differential pairs may be routed the signal integrity (SI) performance of the pairs is to be carefully considered. One factor that may lead to a poorer SI performance, on the PCB itself and within a ball grid array (BGA) that is mounted on the PCB, is the glass-weave effect. To mitigate the impact of the glass-weave effect inside of a BGA, techniques are presented herein that support rotating the BGA by a free angle. With such a BGA rotation, a pair's traces will be rotated by the same angle and, …
Environmental-Impact Extensions For Traceroute And Ping, Carlos M. Pignataro
Environmental-Impact Extensions For Traceroute And Ping, Carlos M. Pignataro
Defensive Publications Series
The computer network diagnostic facilities traceroute and ping are arguably some of the most used networking troubleshooting tools. Augmenting those facilities to present environmental and sustainability data and metadata would contribute to gain visibility on “green metrics” on the Internet, an objective mentioned in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) E-Impact initiative. Techniques are presented herein that support Environmental-Impact extensions (or “E-Impact” extensions for short) to both traceroute and ping. The presented extensions are backwards compatible and potentially provide per-hop (e.g., per networking topological node) power metrics, estimated greenhouse gas (GHG) emission numbers, and potentially other current or future sustainability …

Thereafter, a user payment instrument may be used to scan the generated QR code, which opens an authentication application, after the user payment instrument …
Application-Aware Latency-Based Optimization For Rep Rings, Dave Zacks, Robert Barton, Thomas Szigeti, Barry Qi Yuan
Application-Aware Latency-Based Optimization For Rep Rings, Dave Zacks, Robert Barton, Thomas Szigeti, Barry Qi Yuan
Defensive Publications Series
Techniques are presented herein that support a method for prescriptively discovering optimal places on a resilient Ethernet protocol ring for which to break a loop on a per-virtual local area network (VLAN) basis. In an operational technology (OT) setting, traffic often stays within a ring and is peer-to-peer (P2P) in nature. Consequently, it is useful to break the loop in places that optimize performance and do not force P2P traffic to go the "long way" around a ring. The presented techniques encompass a method for discovering where the best place to break the loop is on a per-VLAN basis.
