Purpose. To examine fatigue failure load value of etch-and-rinse and self-adhesive luting systems used to bond ZLS to dentin. Moreover, this study seeks to evaluate whether the application of unfilled resin on silanated ceramic intaglio surface could improve fatigue failure load value. Methods. This clinical study aims to determine differences in lipstick stains between ceramic veneers and natural teeth. Types of lipsticks affected lipstick stains on ceramic veneers and natural teeth were also investigated. A total of 30 patients were divided into two groups: ceramic-veneer (CV) group and natural-teeth (NT) group with 15 patients in each group. Seven lipstick types: Gloss & Balm, Gloss & Sheer, Cream, Liquid matte, Matte & Frost, Satin, and Matte were applied on patients’ lips. Endodontic failures are mainly caused by persistence of microorganisms in the root canal system. Enterococcus faecalis has been reported as the most commonly isolated species from root canals with endodontic treatment failure in many studies, but was not the dominant species in others. Recent studies showed that Candida albicans is found together with Enterococcus faecalis within infected root canals in a polymicrobial community and both species can form biofilm. The purpose of this study was to compare patient-reported outcome measures including post-operative pain, swelling, patient's expectation and satisfaction among 3 techniques of dental implant placement including a) conventional freehand, b) dynamic, and c) static Computer-Aided Implant Surgery. Ninety patients were randomly assigned to receive dental implant placement with one of the 3 protocols. Participants were asked to fill in a series of self-administered questionnaires assessing 1) pre-operative expectations, 2) post-operative healing events during the first week after surgery, and 3) overall satisfaction with the procedures at two weeks. The objective of this study is to clarify the effect of endothelin-1 on COX-2 mRNA expression and PGE2 production from human periodontal ligament fibroblasts. Effect of various concentration of ET-1 on cell viability of primary human periodontal ligament fibroblasts was determined by an MTT assay. Then, primary human periodontal ligament fibroblasts were treated with 10 pM ET-1 for 0.5, 1, 2, 4 hours to investigate the time-course effect. The purpose of this experimental study was to evaluate wear characteristics and retention force of the RetenDent mini-implant overdenture system (Chulalongkorn product) after the insertion-removal fatigue test. One-piece mini-implants attachment system for overdenture, Osstem MS denture® type implant (OSSTEM, Germany GmbH), and RetenDent mini-implant were tested. All samples were subjected to repeated insertion and removal fatigue cycles by the universal testing machine (E1000, INSTRON Instrument, England). This study evaluated the effect of ultrasonic treatment and surface treatments on transverse strength of denture bases which relined with auto-polymerizing acrylic resin. The study groups, ninety heat-polymerized acrylic resins (64×10×2 mm) were divided by three surface treatments: no surface treatment (N), applied MMA for 180 seconds (MM), applied MF-MA for 15 seconds (MF). The objective of the study was to estimate the relative technical efficiency of public hospitals in PNG and estimate the magnitudes of output increases and/or input reductions that would have been required to make relatively inefficient hospitals more efficient using Data Envelopment Analysis for 20 hospitals in PNG using the data for 2017. The study is further extended using the Tobit regression analysis to investigate the institutional and contextual factors on hospital efficiencies. This research studies the impact of competition on bank stabilities, which are capital adequacy, non-performing loans ratio, interest income risk, and non-interest income risk. Lerner index is used to proxy degree of non-structural bank competition. We use data on 11 Thai commercial banks from the year 2010 to 2018 and employ Panel Least Square regression. Our results show that banks with higher market power tend to have lower risk lending behaviors. In this paper, we evaluate the effects of firm-level and country-level variables on the firms' probability of having cross-border M&A deals and the size of the deals. Our sample consists of 87 firms from SET100 Index (firms from financial industry are excluded), and the data between 2009 to 2018 is used in this paper. The results indicate that the increase in ownership advantages of the firms, namely, size and profitability raise the chance of the firms having cross-border M&A deals and the size of the deals. The main objective of this paper is to assess the economic impact in Bali during the Covid-19 pandemic by proposing the case of Ubud Food Festival 2019 with input-output analysis. Due to the outbreak, most scheduled festivals in 2020 have been cancelled, including Ubud Food Festival 2020. This thesis studies the impact of factors influencing ex-prisoners' labour market re-entry. It is separated into three studies. The first study evaluates the effect of beauty premiums from cosmetic surgery on male ex-prisoners under asymmetric information settings where employers are unaware of candidates' criminal history. Using a Choice Experiment approach (CEs), the beauty from cosmetic surgery performs as the signal submitted to 400 employers. The results show that the beauty from cosmetic surgery associates with the increase of possibility of candidates in the experiments being chosen by 3.05 and 1.54 times, in the formal and informal sector, respectively. This thesis research comprises three studies, each of which investigates the inequality of income and wealth in Thailand from 1996 to 2017 and the impact of personal income tax and taxes on real estate on that inequality. Shorrocks Index decomposition technique is applied to examine the key drivers of inequality in the country in the first two studies. This study aimed to 1) investigate the effects of learning conditioned narrow reading instruction on vocabulary knowledge of English as Foreign Language (EFL) Learners, and 2) investigate the perceptions of students toward learning conditioned narrow reading instruction on vocabulary knowledge. This study investigated the effects of interleaved form-focused instruction (FFI) on Thai lower secondary students' grammatical knowledge, long-term retention, and their perception towards the instruction. Students took a pre-test, an immediate post-test, and a one-week delayed post-test, and were also interviewed at the end of the implementation. The test scores were to investigate the improvement of grammatical knowledge as well as the long-term retention, and the data from the semi-structured interview were analyzed to figure out the perceptions towards the overall instruction.
