Organic agriculture in Thailand has been shaped by the agency factors with contestation on development in structural contexts since the 1970s. It emerged and developed as a part of alternative agriculture movement, and transformed in dynamic contexts with involvement of various actors. Organic farming in Non-Yang community can be perceived as the microcosm of the development. POs, NGOs, GOs and private sectors are involved into the community as actors of organic farming network. During the period between 1945 and 1979, the Malay Peninsula was under a chaotic and turbulent social situation. Decolonization, ideological confrontation, and ethnic conflict all happened in this period. This research adopts the documentary research method to analyze how the turbulent social situation affected Chinese society in Malaya/Malaysia and how the problems that the ethnic Chinese of the Malay Peninsula faced affected the Chinese emigration from the Malay Peninsula. During the anti-colonial period, part of the ethnic Chinese of Malaya identified with China and sympathized with the Chinese Communist Party. Hence, China was the most important destination for them. This study attempts to explore the development of tea planting and producing, and tea culture tourism in Mae Salong in Thailand and Thai Nguyen in Vietnam. The findings reveal that tea planting in Mae Salong is derived from KMT villagers in northern Thailand who initially planted tea for livelihood, later developed as a cash crop for substituting opium and reducing soil erosion under the cooperation between the Royal Project and Taiwanese organizations. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of three recovery protocols on muscle oxygenation, blood lactate, and subsequent performance during a 200-m repeated swimming. Twelve swimmers (6 females and 6 males) from Chulalongkorn University swimming club completed three sessions of two consecutive 200-m front crawl trials separated by one of three recovery protocols: a 15-min of active recovery (AR), a 15-min of passive recovery (PR), and a recovery combination of 5-min of active and 10-min of passive recovery (CR) by using a counterbalance design. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between brand equity and behavioral intentions (i.e., repurchase, recommend) as well as the moderating role of consumer determinants (i.e., trust, satisfaction, perceived electronic word-of-mouth) in this relationship within hedonic and utilitarian high-involvement product settings. The study employs a quantitative approach in which the cross-sectional survey was made to collect the data in Bangkok, Thailand. A total of 423 target samples aged from 18 to 25, studying and/or working in inner areas, were collected. The objectives of this research were to study the Facebook users' motivation on environmental issues, their environmental awareness and behavioral tendency in Vietnam and to explore the relationship among these three variables. Three social media influencers who had more than 10,000 followers on their Facebook profiles, demonstrated open, explicit environmentally-friendly lifestyle and achieved certain media recognition were invited to join in-depth interviews. The present study aimed at exploring the effects of Autonomy-Supportive English Language Instruction on students' motivation in English language classrooms, and aimed at investigating students' opinions toward Autonomy-Supportive English Language Instruction. The participants were 25 eleventh grade students who were studying in a public school in the second semester of the academic year 2018, which were selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments were students' self-report motivation in English language classrooms questionnaire, and students' opinions toward autonomy-supportive English language instruction interview questions. The main overall goal of this study is to investigate the application of modified chitosan as a potential vector for apoptotic gene delivery to gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor (GnRHR)-expressing cells (i.e. testicular cells and mammary cancer cells). Synbiotics, a synergistic combination of probiotics and prebiotics, are now highlighted as one of the most practical nutritional supplements in red tilapia farms. The aim of the present study was to assess the effect of the dietary inclusion of Jerusalem artichoke, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, or their combination, on serum biochemical, growth performance, intestinal morphology, immune parameters, intestinal bacterial count and protection against Aeromonas veronii in juvenile red tilapia (Oreochromis spp.). It is widely used in clinical dermatology such as acne, acne scar, photoaging, wrinkles, psoriasis, skin neoplasia and seborrheic dermatitis. Retinal is a pivotal key to regulate keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation in the epidermis resulting in epidermal thickening and inhibit collagen destruction in the dermis. Flavobacterium columnare is Gram negative bacteria which caused columnaris disease in various kinds of freshwater fishes. This study is the first report of F. columnare infection in freshwater culturing Asian sea bass in Thailand. Phenotypic characterization, antimicrobial susceptibility test and quinolone resistant-associated genes of F. columnare were performed. A total 15 of F. columnare were isolated from diseased fishes and phylogenetic analysis revealed that these isolates were belonged to genetic group 2 and 4. Previous study showed that Campylobacter isolated from slaughterhouses were associated with Campylobacter isolated from broiler farms. A total of 809 samples of pig rectal swab from slaughterhouses (n=441) and pork from retail market (n=368) were collected in the border provinces among Thailand, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Myanmar between October 2016 and March 2017. The objective of this study was to determine resistance to extended-spectrum ß-lactams (ESBLs) and colistin in Salmonella enterica and Escherichia coli. A total of Salmonella (n=463) and E. coli (n=767) were collected and determined for the ESBL-production and for the Minimum Inhibitory Concentrations (MICs) of colistin and; the presence of ESBL gene and mcr gene. Avian influenza becomes public health concern over years due to the serious impacts in both animal and human health. This study aimed to identify and characterize avian influenza viruses isolated from ducks in Java Indonesia during 2015-2017. Total 50 samples of previously identified as avian influenza viruses were acquired from the virus/culture collections of Disease Investigation Center (DIC) Wates Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Red eggs disease is an emerging disease occurred in Tilapia hatcheries which caused by a Gram-negative bacterium called Hahella chejuensis HN01. The disease infects to all the stage of fish eggs and reduces the hatchability. However, there are limited study about the bacterial pathogenicity. In this study, we analyzed the phylogenetic relationship and characterized the virulence traits of Hahella chejuensis by using genomic approach. In this study, we aimed to detect antimicrobial resistance determinants and virulence factor genes in V. parahaemolyticus isolates from cultivated oysters and estuarine waters in southern Thailand. A total of 594 V. parahaemolyticus isolates were collected from pooled oysters (n=361) and estuarine waters (n=233). The samples were collected monthly between March 2016 and February 2017 from Thap Put district, Phang Nga province in southern Thailand. Confirmation of V. parahaemolyticus was carried out by PCR assay detecting species-specific (tlh) gene and the presence of virulence genes (tdh and trh).
