This research was aimed at precisely estimating the probabilities associated with the presence of Salmonella and E .coli contamination in feed at the entry of broiler and broiler breeder farms. The samples were taken from four different farms during six weeks located in Chonburi Province, Thailand. The microbiological analysis was conducted in the Laboratory of Microbiology, Regional Medical Science Center, Saraburi, Thailand. การศึกษาวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์และข้อถกเถียงเพื่อศึกษาวิเคราะห์การก่อตัวของการเกิดสนามวาทกรรม “ความผิดเพศ” ภายใต้บริบท “สังคมนิยมชาย” ในสังคมไทย โดยมุ่งศึกษาภาคปฏิบัติการของสนามวาทกรรม “ความผิดเพศ” ในศตวรรษที่ 21 ที่เป็นการปะทะกันระหว่างชุดวาทกรรมรักต่างเพศและชุดวาทกรรมรักเพศเดียวกันแบบคู่ตรงข้าม เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์และการเกิดความเกลียดชังทางเพศวิถีที่มีต่อกลุ่มเกย์เพศชายกลุ่มต่างๆ ในสังคมไทย ผ่านการวิเคราะห์สื่อทางสังคมในรูปแบบต่าง ๆ และสื่อวัฒนธรรมป๊อป อาทิ ละครชุด ภาพยนตร์ บทเพลง หรือหนังสือ ตลอดจนการแสดงออกเชิงสัญลักษณ์อย่างเทศกาลไพรด์ รวมไปถึงการวิเคราะห์ชุดวาทกรรมทางการอย่าง “กฎหมาย” ได้แก่ ร่างพระราชบัญญัติแก้ไขประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์เพื่อการสมรสเท่าเทียม และร่างพระราชบัญญัติคู่ชีวิต ที่สังคมไทยยังคงมีปัญหาด้านตัวบทกฎหมายการเข้าถึงกระบวนการยุติธรรมและการได้รับความคุ้มครองทางสิทธิและเสรีภาพของกลุ่มเกย์ที่มีข้อจำกัด สะท้อนให้เห็นการแย่งชิงพื้นที่ทางวาทกรรมในสนามวาทกรรมความผิดเพศที่นำไปสู่การเกิดความเกลียดชังทางเพศวิถีที่มีต่อกลุ่มเกย์ ซึ่งผลการศึกษาพบว่า กลุ่มเกย์เพศชายในสังคมไทย ยังคงได้รับผลกระทบจากสนามวาทกรรม “ความผิดเพศ” โดยเฉพาะเรื่องการได้รับความคุ้มครองด้านสิทธิเสรีภาพและการเข้าถึงสิทธิตามกฎหมาย และขาดกฎหมายที่รองรับการแสดงออกและการเข้าถึงสิทธิของกลุ่มผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศที่นำไปสู่การเกิดความเกลียดชังทางเพศวิถีที่มีต่อเกย์เพศชายกลุ่มต่าง ๆ โดยงานวิจัยชิ้นนี้ได้สร้างคุณูปการทางวิชาการด้านการศึกษาวาทกรรมและการวิเคราะห์วาทกรรม และสร้างองค์ความรู้เกี่ยวกับความหลากหลายทางเพศ ตลอดจนสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจด้านอาชญาวิทยาเกี่ยวกับความเกลียดชังทางเพศวิถีที่มีต่อกลุ่มเกย์ให้เกิดความชัดเจนมากยิ่งขึ้น

การวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงทดลองทางคลินิก (Clinical Trial) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาดัชนีน้ำตาลและมวลน้ำตาลในขนมหวานที่มีชื่อเสียงประจำจังหวัดในประเทศไทย โดยรายชื่อขนมหวานได้รับการคัดเลือกจากการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) ให้เป็นขนมหวานประจำจังหวัด 10 ชนิด ได้แก่ โรตีสายไหม ข้ามหลาม เฉาก๊วย ข้าวแต๋นน้ำแตงโม ขนมโมจิ กะละแม ขนมหม้อแกง ขนมปังชีสเชคสับปะรด กะหรี่ปั๊บ และขนมสาลี่ จากร้านค้าผู้ผลิตและจำหน่ายที่เป็นที่นิยมของนักท่องเที่ยวประจำจังหวัด 3 อันดับแรก 10 จังหวัด จำนวน 30 ร้านค้า วิเคราะห์คุณค่าทางโภชนาการ ด้วยวิธี High performance liquid chromatography method วิเคราะห์การปนเปื้อน เพื่อตรวจสอบคุณภาพความปลอดภัยของขนมหวานทางกายภาพและจุลชีววิทยา ด้วยวิธี High performance liquid chromatography method, Total plate count และ Yeast and Mold count ตามลำดับ และศึกษาวัดค่าดัชนีน้ำตาลและมวลน้ำตาลในขนมหวาน ด้วยวิธีเก็บตัวอย่างเลือดในอาสาสมัครสุขภาพดี จำนวน 96 คน สุ่มอาสาสมัครเป็น 8 กลุ่มๆ ล่ะ 12 คน หลังรับประทานขนมหวานที่มีปริมาณคาร์โบไฮเดรต 50 กรัม (1 หน่วยบริโภค) เปรียบเทียบกับสารละลายน้ำตาลกลูโคสมาตรฐาน (Baseline) เพื่อหาระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดที่เวลา 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 และ 120 นาที ผลการศึกษาพบว่า คุณค่าทางโภชนาการของขนมหวานให้พลังงาน คาร์โบไฮเดรตและน้ำตาลค่อนข้างสูง มีขนมหวานที่ผ่านเกณฑ์คุณภาพความปลอดภัย จำนวน 8 ชนิด ได้แก่ โรตีสายไหม ข้าวหลาม ข้าวแต๋นน้ำแตงโม ขนมโมจิ ขนมหม้อแกง ขนมปังชีสเชคสับปะรด กะหรี่ปั๊บ และขนมสาลี่ มีค่าดัชนีน้ำตาล (Glycemic Index; GI) ในขนมหวาน …

Red tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) is a prominent freshwater fish in Thai aquaculture. It has long been afflicted by severe bacterial diseases, ulcerative syndrome, and hemorrhagic septicemia, primarily caused by Aeromonas veronii. Vaccination is a key strategy for control and prevention. In this study a chitosan nano-immersion vaccine has been developed using a nanoemulsion technique and surface modification method with chitosan polymers. The physicochemical properties, mucoadhesive properties, immune response assays, and vaccine efficacy were investigated. The results showed that the vaccine is spherical-shaped, nanometer-sized, and having monodispersed positive charge. Mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (MSC-derived exosomes) have been previously reported to enhance wound healing across different phases. However, its practical application has been hindered due to challenges regarding low productivity and the lack of efficient production protocol. Additionally, the usage of exosome-based regenerative treatments in the veterinary field remains relatively unexplored. ประชากรโลกมีอายุสูงขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว การพัฒนาการจัดบริการสุขภาพปฐมภูมิด้านโรคผิวหนังในผู้สูงอายุจึงมีความสำคัญและมีความจำเป็น เพื่อให้ผู้สูงอายุเข้าถึงการวินิจฉัยและรักษาได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพอย่างต่อเนื่องและเท่าเทียมกัน การศึกษานี้ใช้กระบวนการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการแบบมีส่วนร่วม (Participatory action research; PAR) โดยศึกษาองค์ประกอบ, ระบบงาน, เส้นทางการมารับบริการ, ความจำเป็นทางสุขภาพและความคาดหวังของผู้สูงอายุในการมารับบริการสุขภาพปฐมภูมิด้านโรคผิวหนัง โดยทำกิจกรรมสนทนากลุ่ม, การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก, การสำรวจด้วยแบบสอบถาม แล้วนำผลไปออกแบบแนวทางการพัฒนาบริการสุขภาพปฐมภูมิด้านโรคผิวหนัง ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การพัฒนาบริการสุขภาพปฐมภูมิด้านโรคผิวหนังควรประกอบด้วย 8 สิ่งสำคัญ คือ 1. การคัดกรองผู้ป่วย 2. การอธิบายการวินิจฉัยรักษาและมียาเพียงพอ 3. การพัฒนาศักยภาพของบุคลากรสาธารณสุข 4. การส่งต่อผู้ป่วย 5. การปรึกษาและเครือข่ายแพทย์ผิวหนัง 6. การนัดหมาย 7. การดูแลตนเองและการดูแลจากอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน 8. สถานที่และอุปกรณ์เพียงพอ จากการสำรวจความเห็นของหน่วยบริการปฐมภูมิ 12 เขตสุขภาพและได้รับการตอบกลับจากโรงพยาบาลอำเภอและโรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพตำบล 397 แห่งจาก 576 แห่ง (อัตราการตอบกลับ 68.9%) มีความเห็นว่า มีความเป็นไปได้ในการทำวิธีการพัฒนาด้วย PAR 71%, มีประโยชน์ 96% และน่าจะทำได้ในระยะเวลา 6-12 เดือน ส่วนรูปแบบการพัฒนาการจัดบริการสุขภาพปฐมภูมิด้านโรคผิวหนัง มีความเป็นไปได้ 82%, มีประโยชน์ 98% และน่าจะทำได้ในระยะเวลามากกว่า 12 เดือน สรุปผลการศึกษาได้ว่า การพัฒนาการจัดบริการสุขภาพปฐมภูมิด้านโรคผิวหนังมีความจำเป็นและหน่วยบริการปฐมภูมิส่วนใหญ่ลงความเห็นว่าการพัฒนาการจัดบริการสุขภาพปฐมภูมิด้านโรคผิวหนังมีความเป็นไปได้และมีประโยชน์

The study aimed to develop a probiotic beverage using gac fruit and assess its characteristics and functional properties related to gut health through probiotic lactic acid fermentation. Gac juice (GJ) at 5–10 g/100 g was fermented with Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei (L. CASEI 431®), and various aspects were explored, including probiotic viability, physicochemical properties, phytochemicals, antioxidant activity, functional properties, volatile flavor compounds, and sensory acceptability of fermented GJ (FGJ). The results indicated a decrease in pH and sugar content, alongside an increase in lactic acid, acetic acid, and probiotic viability, up to 108 CFU/mL, post-fermentation. This study evaluated M1 and M2 macrophage polarization in human periapical cysts and granulomas through an immunohistochemical analysis and investigated the correlation between the macrophage polarization and histopathological diagnosis, clinical features and lesion volume using cone-beam computed tomography. The periapical biopsies histopathologically diagnosed as radicular cyst (n=52) and periapical granuloma (n=51) were analyzed by immunohistochemical method. Immuno-expressions of CD68 and CD163 were quantified. The CD68/CD163 ratio was adopted to represent M1 or M2 macrophage polarization. Objectives: To evaluate the effects of a smartphone game for active neck movement exercise on perceived neck discomfort, new onset neck pain, and active cervical range of motion (ROM) among high-risk office workers. Methods: A 6-month prospective cluster-randomized controlled trial was conducted involving 100 healthy but high-risk office workers from nine organizations. The cross-sectional study, conducted in May 2024 among undergraduate Chulalongkorn University pharmacy students in Thailand, aims to investigate the proportion of mental well-being levels and determine the relationship between general characteristics, perceptions of academic stress, and family relationships toward mental well-being levels among pharmacy students at Chulalongkorn University. This study aimed to investigate the contamination of third-generation cephalosporin (3GC)-resistant Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Enterococcus faecalis, and E. faecium in commercial raw meat-based diets (RMBDs) for cats and dogs in Thailand. Fifty RMBD products from ten brands were included for total plate count and bacterial isolation. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was conducted for the targeted bacteria. Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) production and the presence of blaCTX-M and mcr genes were detected. Additionally, E. coli phylogroups and Salmonella serovars were identified. The RMBD samples were contaminated by 3GC-resistant E. coli (80.0%), Salmonella spp. (70.0%), E. faecalis (100%), and E. faecium (84.0%). All …

Overpopulation of companion animals, particularly dogs and cats, is a global concern, necessitating effective population control policies. This research investigates the attitudes of veterinarians and pet owners in Thailand regarding dog and cat surgical sterilization and the use of progestins as non-surgical contraception. The study also assesses the effects of intratesticular administration of alpha-mangostin encapsulated in nanostructured lipid carriers (AM-NLC) in male cats, and adverse effects. Furthermore, a novel formulation of AM-NLC for intratesticular administration is also developed. The importance and rationale of this thesis were to address the critical knowledge gap in equine endometrosis by developing a comprehensive 3-dimensional (3D) in vitro model of equine endometrial tissue using advanced technology like 3D bioprinting. Study 1 aimed to develop an in vitro model for studying equine endometrial function by isolating and characterizing equine endometrial epithelial cells (eECs) and endometrial mesenchymal stem cells (eMSCs) using a modified tissue explantation outgrowth technique. The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of HA-pNIPAM spray or Hy-N spray in treating dry mouth and to evaluate patient satisfaction with Hy-N spray. This study was a randomized double-blind crossover study conducted on patients with dry mouth. They were given three saliva substitutes: Hy-N, placebo, and Biotène spray, which were randomly allocated in a different order. Each spray was used for 1 week, followed by a 3-day wash-out period. Objective: The aim of the study was to compare medium to long-term clinical and patient reported outcomes between implants placed with Computer-assisted Implant Surgery (CAIS) and freehand protocols. Materials and Methods: Thirty dental implants in the anterior maxillary region with an average of 4 years after loading were assessed by means of Pink Esthetic Scores (PES), Marginal Bone Level (MBL), clinical and patient reported outcomes. Results: CAIS significantly outperformed freehand placement with regards to PES scores (p=0.011). Likewise, implants placed with CAIS showed significantly higher marginal bone levels (p<0.001). Bleeding on Probing, Probing depth and prevalence of mucositis did not differ between the groups, while no peri-implantitis was diagnosed. Conclusions: The use of CAIS lead to superior outcomes in terms of esthetics and marginal bone levels for implants placed in the aesthetic zone as observed in medium to long-term follow-up. No difference was however observed with regards to peri-implant mucosa inflammation.
