Competition Mechanism Of False Information In Public Crisis Based On Improved Lotka-Volterra Competition Model, Xiaoxia Zhu, Hao Wang, Jiajia Hao

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In this paper, we analyzed the ecological characteristics of information diffusion networks, and incorporated it with Lotka- Volterra competition model. Based on this improved model we constructed ecosystems, competition and diffusion equation of false information in public crisis. Using this method, we studied how kinds of information decrease from n to only one by competing in information ecosystem and considered the reason why the false information is the most influential in the social network. The interesting conclusion is, if there are three types of information in ecosystem, when the information published by the official media and the information published by …

Study On The Evaluation Of Uav Disaster Monitoring System Architecture Based On The Rsbfnn Algorithmic Method, Zhifei Li, Yifan Zhu, Feng Yang, Wenguang Wang

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In disaster monitoring, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are becoming more suitable than earth observing satellites and manned helicopters, especially in emergent situations. However, decisions must be made as to which attributes the UAV must possess when developing new models. Combined with NOLH experiment design and multi-agent simulation (MAS) technology, a new architecture evaluation method, termed Rough Set Based Fuzzy Neural Network (RSBFNN), is proposed to simulate and analyze both the UAV attributes and desired effectiveness. Experimental results show that this method is very dependable when comparing predicted and actual responses and yields better performance than other models. This method best …

Degradation Of Complexity For Join Enumeration Via Weight Measure On Cmp, Yongheng Chen, Kerui Chen, Yaojin Lin

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Most contemporary database systems query optimizers exploit System-R’s Bottom-Up dynamic programming method (DP) to find the optimal query execution plan (QEP). The dynamic programming algorithm has a worst case running time, thus for queries with more than 10 joins, it becomes infeasible. To resolve this problem, random strategies are used. In this paper we propose a parallel top-down join enumeration algorithm that is optimal with respect to the partial order graph based on Chip Multi-Processor (CMP). This paper firstly transforms the undirected query graph to Weighted Edge Join Graph (WEJG) according to the edge weight and constructs all partial order …

Hopf Bifurcations In A Delayed Microscopic Model Of Credit Risk Contagion, Carlo Bianca, Luca Guerrini

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

This paper is concerned with the proof of the existence of Hopf bifurcations in a mathematical model recently proposed in [T. Chen, X. Li, and J. He, Abstract and Applied Analysis 2014, 456764 (2014)] for understanding the complex stochastic dynamics phenomena of credit risk contagion in the financial market. Specifically the model consists in an ordinary differential equation with time-delay. Moreover, by using the normal form theory and center manifold argument, the stability, direction, and period of bifurcating periodic solutions are gained.

Classifications And Properties Of (Α,Β )-Fuzzy Ideals In Ternary Semigroups, Noor Rehman, Muhammd Shabir, Young Bae Jun

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Classifications of (a,b )-fuzzy left (right and lateral) ideals of ternary semigroups are discussed. Relations between (∈,∈ ∨q)-fuzzy left (right and lateral) ideals and (q,∈∨q)-fuzzy left (right and lateral) ideals are established. Given special sets, so called t-q-set and t-∈∨q-set, conditions for the t-q-set and t-∈∨q-set to be left (right and lateral) ideals are considered. Conditions for a fuzzy set to be an (∈,q)-fuzzy left (right and lateral) ideals, a (q,∈)-fuzzy left (right and lateral)ideals and a (q,∈∨q)-fuzzy left (right and lateral) ideals are considered. Some new characterizations of weakly regular ternary semigroups are also established. Finally, the implication-based fuzzy …

Image Retrieval Using The Improved Double Density Contourlet Transform, Xie Qingsong, Guo Jie, Li Mengjun, An Zhiyong

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

A new image retrieval algorithm based on the improved double density contourlet transform(DDCT) is proposed in this paper. The improved double density contourlet transform have the property of shift invariance and non-Gaussian for the high frequency sub-bands. In order to obtain the high frequency texture feature, we design the quantization histograms using the high frequency direction sub-bands. The 0/1 quantization is used to deal with the energy matrix of high frequency sub-bands. A texture point is defined as an 8-D vector by integrating different channel values from high frequency sub-bands and the quantization histograms are computed. In order to get …

Equity Volatility Smile And Skew Under A Cev-Based Structural Leverage Model, Min Chen May 2015

Equity Volatility Smile And Skew Under A Cev-Based Structural Leverage Model, Min Chen

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

The leverage effect is widely considered to be the major contributor to volatility skew in the stock option market. This study concentrates on explicit modeling of corporate leverage. The asset-equity relation is modeled by a perpetual American option, and the asymmetry of the asset return distribution is addressed by introducing a Constant Elasticity of Variance (CEV) asset dynamic. The model retains closed-form representation of firm equity with respect to asset and liability. This provides a convenient simplification to equity option pricing, so that the model can be calibrated to stock prices and the entire volatility structure. This model demonstrates how …

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In this work we focus on the obtaining of an integrative measure of Corporate Social Responsibility which does not require a unique precise definition of this concept. The proposed method will allow the ranking of firms based on this integrative measure which will incorporate all the available information from different sources. Moreover, a Soft Computing method will be applied based on interval-valued fuzzy sets reflecting the uncertain, imprecise and fuzzy nature of social performance criteria. In order to illustrate the proposed method a real case study is presented.

A Biometric-Based Password Authentication With Key Exchange Scheme Using Mobile Device For Multi-Server Environment, Xuelei Li, Qiaoyan Wen, Wenmin Li, Hua Zhang, Zhengping Jin

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Remote authentication for multi-server environment can help users register only once and access arbitrary services conveniently in the same registry realm. However, most of the solutions are plagued by security problems. In this paper, we point out that ‘a novel smart card and dynamic ID based remote user authentication scheme for multi-server environment’ is vulnerable to user impersonation attack, server masquerade attack and cannot achieve forward secrecy. Therefore, by introducing biometrics as the third authentication factor, we devise an enhanced three-factor based remote authentication with key agreement scheme for multiserver environment. In our designation, we combine the technologies of Client …

On The Security Of Robust Image Watermarking Algorithm Based On Discrete Wavelet Transform, Discrete Cosine Transform And Singular Value Decomposition, Khaled Loukhaoukha, Ahmed Refaey, Khalil Zebbiche, Makram Nabti

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Among emergent applications of digital watermarking, owner identification, proof of ownership and transaction tracking are applications that protect data by embedding the owner’s information (watermark) in it. Recently, a robust image watermarking scheme based on discrete wavelet transform, discrete cosine transform and singular value decomposition was proposed by Hu et al. [1]. However, this scheme has shown some drawbacks. In this paper, we present two ambiguity attacks that clearly demonstrate the ineffectiveness of the above scheme some watermarking applications, such as proof of ownership, transaction tracking and data authentication.

Algebraic Structures Of Generalised Symmetries Of N Th-Order Scalar Ordinary Differential Equations Of Maximal Lie Point Symmetry, K. Charalambous, Pgl Leach

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

We compute for the representative scalar ordinary differential equation of maximal point symmetry the generalised symmetries of order-one and two. We examine the Lie Brackets for the generalised symmetries and see that closure does not occur for generalised symmetries of order-two. Consequently all generalised symmetries up to the maximum order possible must be admitted.

The Generative Capacity Of Probabilistic Splicing Systems, Mathuri Selvarajoo, Sherzod Turaev, Wan Heng Fong, Nor Haniza Sarmin May 2015

The Generative Capacity Of Probabilistic Splicing Systems, Mathuri Selvarajoo, Sherzod Turaev, Wan Heng Fong, Nor Haniza Sarmin

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

The concept of probabilistic splicing system was introduced as a model for stochastic processes using DNA computing techniques. In this paper we introduce splicing systems endowed with different continuous and discrete probabilistic distributions and call them as probabilistic splicing systems. We show that any continuous distribution does not increase the generative capacity of the probabilistic splicing systems with finite components, meanwhile, some discrete distributions increase their generative capacity up to context-sensitive languages. Finally, we associate certain thresholds with probabilistic splicing systems and this increases the computational power of splicing systems with finite components.

Efficient Schemes For Generating Ghz-Type, W-Type And Cluster Ecs Of N-Cavity Coherent Fields, Saad Rfifi, Morad El-Baz May 2015

Efficient Schemes For Generating Ghz-Type, W-Type And Cluster Ecs Of N-Cavity Coherent Fields, Saad Rfifi, Morad El-Baz

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

We establish a new model for realization of three qubit C-NOT gate operations between two Rydberg atoms and coherent Cavity field. To exploit this C-NOT realization, we enhance many schemes for generation of GHZ-type and W-type entangled coherent state (ECS), to prepare n-cavities GHZ- type (ECS) and n-cavities W- type (ECS). Furthermore, we find the possibility of preparing cluster entangled coherent states using the realized three qubit C-NOT gate. Our model compared with the references schemes generation is more efficient because of simplicity of detecting coherent fields. Also, the rigidity of the model comes from the smaller interaction time needed …

The Magnetic Field Of Electrical Conducting Sheets With Two Non-Overlapping Insertions, D. M. El-Sakout, A. F. Ghaleb, M. S. Abou-Dina, A. A. Ashour

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Generalizing a previous result by two of the authors (MSA and AAA) for an infinite sheet with one insertion, we derive two coupled linear Fredholm integral equations of the second kind on two coplanar contours for the determination of the magnetic field due to an infinite plane electrical conducting sheet with two non-overlapping insertions, permeated by a uniform, parallel electric field. These equations are solved numerically to provide solutions for new problems involving two elliptic insertions. The level lines for the current function in the sheet are plotted and the results are discussed to assess the efficiency of the numerical …

An Exact Scheme For The Eit For A Three-Level L-Type Atom In A Quantum Cavity, Siamak Khademi, Ghasem Naeimi, Samira Alipour, Shoaib Mirzaei

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Semi-quantum or full-quantum electromagnetically induced transparency has been fully studied for three-level atoms in a weak field approximation method, where probe field is very weaker than the coupling field. The weak field approximation is not valid in full-quantum model where the number of coupling photons is not so large. In the present article, the master equations for the interaction of two-mode photons with a three-level L-type atom are exactly solved and the exact dispersion and absorption spectra for the probe beam photons are also obtained analytically. The results of the exact scheme are compared with the corresponding results in the …

An Efficient Approach For Time–Fractional Damped Burger And Time–Sharma–Tasso–Olver Equations Using The Frdtm, Mahmoud Saleh Rawashdeh

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

The objective of this paper is to use the fractional reduced differential transform method (FRDTM) to find approximate analytical solutions to the time-fractional Sharma–Tasso–Olver equation and the time-fractional damped Burger equation. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. We compare our results with those from existing methods such as the homotopy analysis method (HAM), variation iteration method (VIM) and the Adomian decomposition method (ADM). Also, the results we obtained in this paper are in a good agreement with the exact solutions; hence, this technique is powerful and efficient as an alternative method for finding approximate and exact solutions …

Geometrically Nonconvex Functions And Integral Inequalities, Muhammad Aslam Noor, Mihai Postolache, Khalida Inayat Noor, Muhammad Uzair Awan

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In this paper, we consider and investigate geometrically nonconvex functions. We derive several Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for geometrically (GG) nonconvex (relative convex) function and geometrically arithmetically (GA) nonconvex (relative convex) functions. We also obtain some fractional Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities. It is shown that one can obtain the previously known results as special cases from our results. The ideas and techniques of this paper may inspire further research in this field.
