Forward-Secure Identity-Based Broadcast Encryption Scheme From Lattice, Xinwen Zhang, Shangping Wang Jul 2015

Forward-Secure Identity-Based Broadcast Encryption Scheme From Lattice, Xinwen Zhang, Shangping Wang

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Motivated by an identity-based broadcast encryption scheme from lattice[1] and a forward-secure identity-based encryption scheme[2], we propose a forward-secure identity-based broadcast encryption scheme from lattice by adding the forward-security mechanism on broadcast encryption scheme. Our scheme satisfies the security requirements of both the broadcast encryption scheme and forward-security scheme, that is, it is forward-secure for the secret keys used previously, and we prove that it is semantic secure based on LWE (Learning With Error)assumption[3] in the random oracle model. In addition, our construction is believed to be secure against quantum computer.

Topological Properties Of The Optical Operator Reconfiguration Network, Wang Xianchao, Zuo Kaizhong Jul 2015

Topological Properties Of The Optical Operator Reconfiguration Network, Wang Xianchao, Zuo Kaizhong

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

We present a first study on the reconfigurability of optical operators in the optical computing platform, ternary optical computer (TOC), from the viewpoint of complex network. In the optical operator reconfiguration network (OORN), vertexes stand for the basic operating units (BOUs) and the optical operators, and directed edges indicate the dynamic reconfiguration relations between BOUs and operators. We find that the OORN has small-world pattern and scale-free feature as other complex networks. In order to describe the clustering property of the OORN, we propose an approach for characterizing the OORN by introducing a new numerical feature, density of vertex. Its …

Comparative Research On Optimal Purchasing Decision And Many Algorithms With Different Properties Under Uncertain Demand, Chu Ye-Ping, Yang Ai-Min, Bi Ya

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Accurate prediction to the uncertain demand is an important guarantee for preparing the optimal purchasing decision and reducing the inventory cost. Compared with the method of fitting the uncertain demand of commodity sensitive to time and season by general random probability distribution, the fuzzy mathematical method has less relative error and better goodness of fit. Therefore, the fuzzy mathematical method is used for forming the optimal purchasing decision model under uncertain demand. A numerical computation method based on the browsed exact analytic calculation method and two improved PSO algorithm is designed. A plurality of confirmatory experiments and comparative experiments analyze …

Weibull Rayleigh Distribution: Theory And Applications, Faton Merovci, Ibrahim Elbatal

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

For the first time, a three-parameter lifetime model, called the Weibull Rayleigh distribution, is defined and studied. We obtain some of its mathematical properties. Some structural properties of the new distribution are studied. The method of maximum likelihood and least squares methods is used for estimating the model parameters and the observed Fisher’s information matrix is derived. We illustrate the usefulness of the proposed model by applications to real data.

Empirical Study On Multilevel Fuzzy Entropy Weight Performance Evaluation Model Of The Petroleum Products Export Processing Enterprises In China, Zuo Hongyan

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In allusion to the multilevel evaluation index system and the actual situation of subjective assignment weights, a new multilevel evaluation model of the fuzzy entropy weight was established by means of adopting the corresponding membership function to fuzzify the indexes such as extremely large, small and medium-sized and using classification determining the evaluation value of the fuzzy entropy weight, the evaluation matrix of the fuzzy entropy weight and the relative closeness degree of the evaluation index et al. The empirical results show that the new fuzzy entropy multilevel evaluation model can avoid the subjectivity which lies in ascertaining factors’ weights …

Periodic And Secular Solutions In The Restricted Three–Body Problem Under The Effect Of Zonal Harmonic Parameters, Elbaz I. Abouelmagd, M. S. Alhothuali, Juan L. G. Guirao, H. M. Malaikah

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

The aim of the present work is to study the periodic structure of the restricted three–body problem considering the effect of the zonal harmonics J2 and J4 for the more massive body. We show that the triangular points in the restricted three–body problem have long or short periodic orbits in the range 0 ≤ µ < µc. We also present a graphical analysis for the variations of the angular frequencies for the long and short periodic orbits computing explicitly the expressions of the lengths of the semi–major and semi–minor axes and determining the orientations of the principal axes for the ellipses that represent periodic orbits. Moreover, the secular solution when µ = µc is stated and it is proved that the triangular points have periodic orbits in this case too. This model has special significance in space missions either to place telescopes or for dispatching satellites and exploring vehicles.

Totally Equivalent H-J Matrices, F. Aydin Akgun, B. E. Rhoades Jul 2015

Totally Equivalent H-J Matrices, F. Aydin Akgun, B. E. Rhoades

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In 1927 W. A. Hurwitz showed that a row finite matrix is totally regular if and only if it has at most a finite number of diagonals with negative entries. He also proved that a regular Hausdorff matrix is totally regular if and only if it has all nonnegative entries. In 1921 Hausdorff proved that the H¨older and Ces´aro matrices are equivalent for each a > −1. Basu, in 1949, compared these matrices totally. In this paper we investigate these theorems of Hurwitz, Hausdorff, and Basu for the E-J and H-J generalized Hausdorff matrices.

Numerical Stability Analysis Of Lattice Boltzmann Equations For Linear Diffusion, Gerasim V. Krivovichev

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

The lattice Boltzmann equations for the linear diffusion modeling in cases of D2Q5, D2Q7 and D2Q9 lattices are considered. Families of the numerical schemes with the dependence on scalar parameter are introduced. The stability analysis of schemes is performed in parameter space. The stability is studied numerically by von Neumann method. Optimal parameter values for the presented families are defined.

New Aspects Of Nonautonomous Discrete Systems Stability, Dhaou Lassoued

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

We prove that a discrete evolution family U := {U(n,m) : n ≥ m ∈ Z+} of bounded linear operators acting on a complex Banach space X is uniformly esponentially stable if and only if for each forcing term ( f (n))n∈Z+ belonging to AP0(Z+,X), the solution of the discrete Cauchy Problem x(n+1) = A(n)x(n)+ f (n), n ∈ Z+ x(0) = 0 belongs also to AP0(Z+,X), where the operators-valued sequence (A(n))n∈Z+ generates the evolution family U. The approach we use is based on the theory of discrete evolution semigroups associated to this family.

Modeling And Development Of A Software Complex For Calculating Pollution Propagation In A Water Bodies, S. D. Kurakbayeva, Zh. R. Umarova, G. A. Besbayev, S. B. Botayeva

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

The main purpose of this paper was to describe new models of pollution discharge into water reservoirs. Unlike some known models, this new approach surmounts mathematical difficulties related to setting the correct boundary conditions. Specifically, this method shows that these difficulties can be partially overcome using local sources that have been suggested for describing the liquid phase distribution over the volume of the packed tower. Consequently, one-, two- and three-dimensional models defining the process of pollution discharge into nearby water bodies were developed. An estimation of dynamic characteristics of pollution dispersion in closed water bodies has been made.

Clustering Of Telecommunications User Profiles For Fraud Detection And Security Enhancement In Large Corporate Networks: A Case Study, Constantinos S. Hilas, Paris A. Mastorocostas, Ioannis T. Rekanos

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

A user’s transactions with modern networks and services produce a vast amount of user related data. The byproduct of every phone call a person makes or every web page one visits is translated into a log record with usage data. By studying these log records, the user’s behavior is revealed and one may come up with clues about user preferences, identify security issues, or discover fraudulent use of the network or the service one provides. Thus, the modeling of network users’ behavior may serve as an invaluable tool for the IT manager. In this paper, many of these issues are …

On The Spectrum Of Eigenparameter-Dependent Quantum Difference Equations, Yelda Aygar, Martin J. Bohner

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

We consider a boundary value problem (BVP) consisting of a second-order quantum difference equation and boundary conditions depending on an eigenvalue parameter. Discussing the point spectrum and using the uniqueness theorem of analytic functions, we present a condition that guarantees that this BVP has a finite number of eigenvalues and spectral singularities with finite multiplicities.

Some Classes Of Generating Relations Associated With A Family Of The Generalized Gauss Type Hypergeometric Functions, Shy-Der Lin, H. M. Srivastava

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In recent years, several interesting families of generating functions for various classes of hypergeometric and generalized hypergeometric functions in one, two and more variables were investigated systematically. Here, in this sequel, we aim at establishing several (presumably) new generating relations for the generalized Gauss type hypergeometric functions which are introduced by means of some generalizations of the classical Beta function B(a,b ). Special cases of the main results are also presented.

On The Principle Of Competitive Exclusion In Metapopulation Models, Davide Belocchio, Roberto Cavoretto, Giacomo Gimmelli, Alessandro Marchino, Ezio Venturino

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In this paper we present and analyse a simple two populations model with migrations among two different environments. The populations interact by competing for resources. Equilibria are investigated. A proof for the boundedness of the populations is provided. A kind of competitive exclusion principle for metapopulation systems is obtained. At the same time we show that the competitive exclusion principle at the local patch level may be prevented to hold by the migration phenomenon, i.e. two competing populations may coexist, provided that only one of them is allowed to freely move or that migrations for both occur just in one …

On Some Finite Arithmetic Groups And Generalized Permutation Modules, J. J. Jaraden, Dmitry Malinin

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

We investigate integral Galois stable representations of finite groups over local and global fields and their integers under the ground field extensions related to permutation modules. We consider normal extensions E/F and subgroups G ⊂ GLn(E) stable under the natural operation of the Galois group of E/F with some extra integrality conditions. The possible realization fields of G with these integrality conditions are of special interest, and we consider certain criteria of integrality for representations in GLn(E). We also study a series of related arithmetic problems and examples.

Existence Of Solutions For Second-Order Impulsive Q-Difference Equations With Integral Boundary Conditions, Weerawat Sudsutad, Jessada Tariboon, Sotiris K. Ntouyas

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Recently the authors introduced in [1] the notions of qk-derivative and qk-integral of a function on finite intervals. As applications existence and uniqueness results for initial value problems for first and second order impulsive qk-difference equations was proved. In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions for a boundary value problem of nonlinear second-order impulsive qk-difference equations with integral boundary conditions. Two results are obtained by applying Banach contraction principle and Leray-Schauder’s Nonlinear Alternative. Some examples are presented to illustrate the results.

Graph Dynamical Systems With General Boolean States, Juan A. Aledo, S. Martinez, Jose C. Valverde Jul 2015

Graph Dynamical Systems With General Boolean States, Juan A. Aledo, S. Martinez, Jose C. Valverde

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In this work we introduce a wide generalization of dynamical systems over graphs, by considering that the states of the entities can take values in an arbitrary Boolean algebra with 2p elements, p ∈ N, p ≥ 1. Then the orbit structure of these more general parallel dynamical systems over undirected graphs where the evolution operator is an arbitrary maxterm or minterm is analyzed. Finally, we also study the cases of parallel dynamical systems whose evolution update is defined by means of independent local Boolean functions.

A Decomposition Algorithm For Solving Stochastic Multi-Level Large Scale Quadratic Programming Problem, O. E. Emam, S. A. Kholeif, S. M. Azzam

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

We present a decomposition algorithm to solve a multi-level large scale quadratic programming problem with stochastic parameters in the objective functions. In the first phase of the solution algorithm and to avoid the complexity of this problem, the stochastic nature of the problem is converted into the equivalent crisp problem. In the second phase, Taylor series is combined with a decomposition algorithm to obtain the optimal solution for this problem. An illustrative example is discussed to demonstrate the correctness of the proposed solution method.

Enhanced Quadrupole Interaction By Co And Counter-Propagating Hermite-Gaussian Beams, S. Al-Awfi

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Effective optical quadrupole traps and a planar array of optical wells based on the interference of two optical beams are proposed. Due to this interference a sort of variety distributions are created with intensity maxima and minima that can be used to trap atoms that have transition frequencies appropriately detuned from the frequency w of the light. This technique assists to avoid some undesirable effects of single beam interaction such as destabilizing dissipative force as well as it enhances the magnitude of quadrupole force. In particular, the mutual coupling of two co and counter-propagating Hermite-Gaussian light beams is presented. Both …

Estimation Of Mass Diffusion Relaxation Time In The Binary Mixture Between Two-Phase Bubbly Flow, S. A. Mohammadein Jul 2015

Estimation Of Mass Diffusion Relaxation Time In The Binary Mixture Between Two-Phase Bubbly Flow, S. A. Mohammadein

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

The mass diffusion relaxation time constant is derived on the basis of relaxed model with unequal phase-mass diffusion for a binary mixture. The mass diffusion and state equations are solved analytically for two finite boundaries. The relaxation time is affected by void fraction and vaporized mass diffusion fraction values. Mass diffusion relaxation time obtained in this work has a larger values than that obtained by Mohammadein [9] and Moby Dick experiment [3]; which satisfied for some values of the physical parameters.

Stability Analysis And Optimal Control Of A Malaria Model With Larvivorous Fish As Biological Control Agent, S. Athithan, Mini Ghosh Jul 2015

Stability Analysis And Optimal Control Of A Malaria Model With Larvivorous Fish As Biological Control Agent, S. Athithan, Mini Ghosh

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

This paper presents a non-linear mathematical model of malaria by considering the human reservoir and larvivorous fishes. The different equilibria of the model are computed and stability of these equilibria is investigated in-detail. Also, the basic reproduction number R0 of the model is computed and we observe that the model exhibits backward bifurcation for some set of parameters implying the existence of multiple endemic equilibria for R0 < 1. This existence of multiple endemic equilibria emphasizes the fact that R0 < 1 is not sufficient to eradicate the disease from the population and the need is to lower R0 much below one to make the disease-free equilibrium to be globally stable. The numerical simulation is performed to support analytical findings and the presented results show meaningful agreement. Additionally, the model is extended to incorporate optimal control by introducing the ‘insecticide control’ to control the mosquito population and Pontryagin’s maximum principle[1] is used to analyze the optimal control model. Here too the numerical simulation is performed to demonstrate the effect of optimal control.

Analytical Solution Of Dirac-Morse Problem With Tensor Potential By Asymptotic Iteration Method, Khalid S. Alsadi Jul 2015

Analytical Solution Of Dirac-Morse Problem With Tensor Potential By Asymptotic Iteration Method, Khalid S. Alsadi

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In the present paper, we obtained an analytical solution of Dirac equation for modified Morse potential with tensor interaction term by similarity transformation and Asymptotic Iteration Method (AIM). The tensor potential is used to probe nuclear properties and provides a theoretical tool to study the degeneracy of the problem. Similarity transformation is able to convert the Dirac equation to a simple form applicable to the Asymptotic Iteration Method. Thus, the exact solution of the Dirac-Morse problem can be obtained by the systematic of AIM. Our results are compared with the results of other authors and a good agreement is obtained.
