Since April of 2011, research and development efforts between the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and the University of North Dakota (UND) have progressed through the “Science and Technology for Warfighter Training and Aiding.” Cooperative Agreement. One product of these cooperative efforts has been a Heads Down Display (HDD) Menu Trainer. Designed to familiarize students with the layout and manipulation of the HDD menus for either the MQ-1 or MQ-9, a parallel pretest/posttest design was designed to examine the efficacy of this HDD menu trainer as training aid in traditional, blended, and distance pedagogies.

Emotion Dysregulation And Impulsivity As Moderators Of Treatment Response And Acceptability In Bulimia Nervosa, Mary E. Zander
Emotion Dysregulation And Impulsivity As Moderators Of Treatment Response And Acceptability In Bulimia Nervosa, Mary E. Zander
Theses and Dissertations
There is great variability in personality among individuals with Bulimia Nervosa (BN; e.g., see Goldner, et al., 1999), such as on dimensions of impulsivity and emotion dysregulation. Individuals high on these traits appear to have different treatment needs compared to those who are low; however, little research has been conducted to evaluate the impact of these traits on treatment perception and success. There are several empirically supported treatments for BN, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy-Enhanced (CBT-E), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Integrative Cognitive-Affective Therapy (ICAT). Although each of these treatments may reduce eating disorder behaviors, they use different approaches to address or modify …
An Acoustic Study Of Kope, Northeast Kiwai, Papua New Guinea, With Preliminary Tonal Analysis, Julia Martin
An Acoustic Study Of Kope, Northeast Kiwai, Papua New Guinea, With Preliminary Tonal Analysis, Julia Martin
Theses and Dissertations
Kope is a dialect of Northeast Kiwai, a language of Papua New Guinea. It exhibits contrast for length on vowels, and a two-level tonal contrast. Measurements were taken from a recording of one speaker, and subjected to statistical tests to determine the relationship between variables of tone, phonemic length, duration, F0, and the first and second formants.
The most consistent effect found is higher F1 on HI-toned vowels, and indeed some measure of correlation between F0 and F1. Another effect, less consistent but still present, is the interaction of length with F2. Duration is found to be heavily influenced by …

The rate of adoption and use of learning management systems to support teaching and learning processes in academic institutions is growing rapidly. This research aimed at performing the load capacity testing of Moodle hosted server in terms of response time, throughput, CPU uses, RAM consume. To meet our research goal, an Android application for quiz activities, with two different designs were developed for comparisons. As an interface between the Moodle database and the application, a server API was coded. Using Apache JMeter and developed application the load capacity of Moodle server was done.

Enhancing Mobile Cloud Computing Security Using Steganography, Hassan Reza, Madhuri Sonawane
Enhancing Mobile Cloud Computing Security Using Steganography, Hassan Reza, Madhuri Sonawane
Computer Science Faculty Publications
Cloud computing is an emerging and popular method of accessing shared and dynamically configurable resources via the computer network on demand. Cloud computing is excessively used by mobile applications to offload data over the network to the cloud. There are some security and privacy concerns using both mobile devices to offload data to the facilities provided by the cloud providers. One of the critical threats facing cloud users is the unauthorized access by the insiders (cloud administrators) or the justification of location where the cloud providers operating. Although, there exist variety of security mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access by unauthorized …

An Examination Of The Relationships Between Safety Culture Perceptions And Safety Reporting Behavior Among Non-Flight Collegiate Aviation Majors, Daniel Kwasi Adjekum, Julius Keller, Micah Walala, Cody Christensen, Randal J. Demik, John P. Young, Gary J. Northam
An Examination Of The Relationships Between Safety Culture Perceptions And Safety Reporting Behavior Among Non-Flight Collegiate Aviation Majors, Daniel Kwasi Adjekum, Julius Keller, Micah Walala, Cody Christensen, Randal J. Demik, John P. Young, Gary J. Northam
Aviation Faculty Publications
Some collegiate aviation programs in the United States have adopted the voluntary Safety Management System (SMS) strongly advocated by the Federal Aviation Administration to build a proactive safety culture. While relevant safety culture research has primarily focused on flight personnel, there has been limited investigation on non-flight collegiate aviation majors (collegiate air traffic control, aviation management, and unmanned aerial systems students) perceptions on collegiate aviation safety. This study examined the relationship between safety culture perceptions and safety reporting behavior of non-flight major students at five collegiate aviation programs. One hundred and sixteen completed responses to a validated safety culture perception …
