This paper broadens the concept of effective community participation in disaster risk reduction by analyzing three case studies that emphasize unconventional, locally driven approaches. Using a multi-case study method, I examine forms of participation that challenge traditional top-down models and focus on local knowledge and community agency. In Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico, a co-designed environmental data dashboard with Pueblo members demonstrates how integrating Indigenous knowledge can enhance disaster preparedness. The Soldados Dam case in Ecuador shows how power imbalances drive community stakeholders to become protestors, emphasizing the need for adaptive engagement to prevent conflict. Late medieval views of women in Western European culture, specifically in fifteenth-century France, were predicated on the ideologies of "other." According to normative sociocultural attitudes of this period, women were immoral, lascivious, and indulged in frivolity. Their culturally acceptable and, therefore, natural roles were delineated solely as that of wife and mother. Although the origin of these views is obscured by time, there are scores of textual and visual examples of this cultural labeling. This study investigates reduction in the vocalic sequence /ea/ in spontaneous conversational Tapatío Spanish from CCT: El Corpus Conversacional Tapatío (Martínez Gómez & Ibarra Zetter, 2017). An example of this phenomenon is the vocalic sequence /ea/ in the word in teatro ‘theater,’ which is often produced as [ˈtja.tɾo]. However, the word azotea ‘rooftop’ is usually pronounced [a.so.ˈte.a] by CCT speakers. The lexical frequency of these words is one factor that influences the degree of /ea/ reduction. People with rare disease have lower health-related quality of life (HRQoL) than the general population. Gaucher disease type 1 (GD1) is a rare, autosomal recessive, lysosomal storage disorder that affects multiple bodily systems. HRQoL improved with enzyme replacement and/or substrate reduction therapies, however, little is known about specific variables associated with HRQoL in GD1. This study explored associations between individual characteristics (gender, race, ethnicity, age, and genotype), treatment variables (treatment type, length of time on treatment, and treatment satisfaction) and symptoms of fatigue and pain with HRQoL among 97 adults with GD1. Training plays an important role in the development of skills and organizational competitiveness. In Co-topaxi, a misalignment was identified between employees and organizational objectives concerning or-ganizational performance and human development. Consequently, this study analyzed the influence of soft skills, the elimination of skill gaps, adherence to standards, and organizational alignment on job sat-isfaction and performance, aiming to enhance organizational competitiveness. The study analyzed productivity in an Ecuadorian restaurant chain using a multicriteria approach within a neu-trosophic framework. The research focused on identifying effective strategies to optimize processes and address-ing specific challenges such as staff turnover and compensation management. The TOPSIS method, combined with bipolar neutrosophic numbers, was employed to evaluate a group of strategies based on high-impact crite-ria. The results highlighted the implementation of economic incentives, training and retention programs, and performance management systems as the most effective alternatives. Late blight (Phytophthora infestans) resistance in Solanum phureja has influenced potato genetic improvement due to the high incidence of this disease. This study analyzed key resistance attributes, such as lesion growth rate, lesion size, latency period, and sporulation intensity, through field and laboratory tests. To integrate these attributes and optimize the selection of resistant genotypes, Neutrosophic SuperHyperSoft Sets modeling was used. In Ecuador and globally, cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality, accounting for a worrying 26.49% of deaths in 2019. An approach based on deep learning is applied to improve the capacity for early prediction and reduce its incidence. Petroglyph National Monument (PETR) resides at the intersection of geology, urban development, and environmental preservation. As the site of convergence for these complex systems, this National Park site is an example of what kinds of interactions occur between humans and nonhumans and how these interactions mediate our broader understanding of material world. This project utilizes literature from more-than-human geographies and new materialism to examine how these interactions inform the management strategies of PETR.
