Questions And Questioning In Toni Morrison's "Recitatif", Sara J. Bibeau
Questions And Questioning In Toni Morrison's "Recitatif", Sara J. Bibeau
The Hugemanities Project Big Contest
In this project I explore how Morrison uses both counter narratives and counter memories to challenge how the reader perceives certain thematic content the context of the story as well as in their own lives. Memory plays an integral role in the plot between the characters of Roberta and Twyla, as they struggle to make sense of their own childhood and in turn who they have become over the years. Morrison's pointed choice to never state the race of Twyla or Roberta couples with ambiguity of the race of the character Maggie as well, creating an interplay of counter narrative …

Integrity in Research and Scholarship
Conducting cutting-edge research and scholarship becomes more complicated with each passing year; forming a collaborative research group offers a way to navigate this increasing complexity. Yet many individuals whose work might benefit from the formation of a collaborative team may feel overwhelmed by the prospect of attempting to build and maintain a research group. We propose this simple guide for starting and maintaining such an enterprise.
This version (V2, 2024) updates the original version (V1, 2019) with two new topics, expanded content, and additional resources.

Faculty Publications
This research is aimed at examining the thermodynamics of variable thermophysical properties of non-Newtonian fluids with the exploration of antiviral and antibacterial mechanisms. The mechanism of antiviral together with antibacterial was separately considered by utilizing the silver nanoparticles. The physical phenomenon comprising thermal radiation, magnetic field, chemical reaction, heat generation parameters, etc are presented as partial differential equations (PDEs). The formulated PDEs are changed into ordinary differential equations using suitable similarity variables. The spectral relaxation method (SRM) was employed to numerically solve the set of equations. The SRM is an iterative method that employs the basic techniques of the Gauss–Seidel …

We report on the coordinated observations of the neutron star low-mass X-ray binary (NS-LMXB) GX 5−1 in X-rays (IXPE, NICER, NuSTAR, and INTEGRAL), optical (REM and LCO), near-infrared (REM), mid-infrared (VLT VISIR), and radio (ATCA). This Z-source was observed by IXPE twice in March–April 2023 (Obs. 1 and 2). In the radio band the source was detected, but only upper limits to the linear polarization were obtained at a 3σ level of 6.1% at 5.5 GHz and 5.9% at 9 GHz in Obs. 1 and 12.5% at 5.5 GHz and 20% at 9 GHz in Obs. 2. The mid-IR, near-IR, …

The Person Experiences Interview Survey: A Measure Addressing Ableism In Mental Healthcare For Patients With Intellectual And Developmental Disabilities, Micah Peace Urquilla
Institute on Disability
Many People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) also have mental health needs requiring the support of mental health service providers, yet they may experience barriers to full engagement in their care due to ableism. Ableism is a kind of prejudice that impacts People with IDD in many parts of life, even in mental health care. This article proposes how an adapted Patient Reported Experience Measure (PREM) can be a response to ableism, with an impact at three distinct yet interrelated levels that reflect the parties involved in the mental healthcare of People with IDD-MH: provider, caregiver, and patient.
