This study examines the wrongful conviction of Anthony Hinton and other examples that illustrate the causes of wrongful convictions in the United States and the effects that wrongful convictions have on the wrongfully accused and their families. This study uses research from scholarly articles and legal cases to analyze the factors that contribute to wrongful convictions and the impact on the wrongfully accused and their families. The research concludes that wrongful convictions are frequently the result of both evidentiary and procedural issues within the criminal justice system.

This study examines the implementation and outcomes of a Youth Garden Program conducted in Pontotoc, Mississippi. Funded by the Allstate Community Service Project Grant, the Youth Garden was constructed within the previously established Pontotoc Community Garden. The initiative comprised four weekly workshops designed for participants ranging from preschool to adolescence. Each session incorporated hands-on fruit and vegetable (FV) planting or harvesting, an educational lesson, and a complementary craft activity. Children’s FV consumption patterns, nutritional knowledge, and attitudes toward FV were assessed through pre- and post-program surveys. Purpose – This study aims to investigate how visual attention to online travel agency (OTA) app elements influences user behavior and satisfaction by integrating experimental and real-world data.

Design/methodology/approach – This study used a multi-method approach combining an eye-tracking experiment with 40 participants, a post-experiment survey on usage intention and big data analysis of 5,547 Google Play reviews from five major OTA platforms, using text mining and regression techniques.

Findings – The eye-tracking results showed that users focused most on user reviews and app information, rather than logos or app names. Visual attention to reviews significantly predicted higher usage intention …

The purpose of this research is to investigate how methamphetamine use in Mississippi, especially in its rural areas, intersects with public health, policy, and suicide outcomes in the state. Mississippi's methamphetamine crisis has evolved significantly, shifting from locally produced drugs to cartel-supplied crystal methamphetamine, while state and federal policies have struggled to keep pace with the scale and complexity of the problem. Telehealth has improved patient access by reducing barriers to convenient, cost-effective, and quality health care. Telehealth mobile applications allow individuals to remotely access services through smartphone-based platforms. The purpose of this study was to evaluate leading telehealth applications available in the United States, analyzing key factors that influence platform selection, including cost, prescribing and diagnostic capabilities, user feedback, and data privacy practices. Applications were identified through keyword-based searches of major app stores using the term “telehealth,” and each app was systematically evaluated using predefined criteria. Canonical correlation analysis (CCA) is a classical tool for measuring the dependence between two random vectors, X ∈ ℝ^p and Y ∈ ℝ^q. When X and Y are functionalcurves, functional canonical correlation analysis (FCCA) is used to characterize the linear association between random functions.

In this project, we develop a new FCCA framework for discriminant analysis when the response variable Y is categorical. The proposed dependence measure is constructed by extending the categorical Gini correlation to the functional setting, allowing us to quantify the association between a functional predictor and a categorical response. The Limiting Behaviors For The Gutman Index And The Schultz Index In A Random (2k + 1)-Polygonal Chain, Shaohui Wang

The exact formulae for the variances of the Gutman index and the Schultz index of a random (2k + 1)-polygonal chain is obtained in this paper. We also show that these two indices of a random (2k + 1)- polygonal chain obey normal distributions asymptotically. We expanded on several previously published findings. We apply the unified formulae to get the limiting behaviors of the Gutman index and the Schultz index of a specific random polygonal chain, which have been extensively explored in statistical physics and organic chemistry.
