Mutagenicity and anti-mutagenicity of the acetone and n-hexane extracts of Garcinia picrorrhiza Miq.bark have been studied by Ames method using Salmonella typhimurium TA 97, TA 98 TA 100, TA 102, dan Escherichia coli WP2. The results showed that the two extracts had a positive effect. It can be concluded that the acetone and n-hexane extracts of Garcinia picrorrhiza Miq. bark have anticancer activity.

Development of an accurate analysis method for small quantity of drug in blood is an important step, HPLC method usually recommended for this purpose. Observation in studying the optimal method to analyze drug in human blood by using internal standard has been done for meloxicam, a new generation of NSAID. To reduce the level of CO2 content in air, effort on converting CO2 to useful products is required. One of the alternatives includes CO2 fixation to produce biomass using Chlorella vulgaris Buitenzorg. Chlorella vulgaris Buitenzorg is applied for production of food supplement. Chlorella vulgaris Buitenzorg is also easy to handle due to its superior adaptation. Currently, Chlorella vulgaris Buitenzorg has been analyzed by some experts for its cellular composition, its ability to produce high quality biomass and the content of essential nutrition. The results shows that the eating habitat has ethical dimensions about “the good“ and “the bad” in the processing and the marketing of food and making issues of the consumer society by implication.

Isolation of total sterol from waste product of soy bean cake has been conducted, followed by biotransformation to 1,4-androstadien-3,17-dione (ADD). The waste product consist of; β-sitosterol, stigmasterol, kaemfesterol, which are isolated by column chromatography technique using silica gel as stationary phase and chloroform as mobile phase. Biotransformation was conducted by using Mycobacterium phlei DSM 43286 in the present of α, α’- dipiridil as an inhibitor with concentration of 0,5; 1; 1,5; 2,0 mM. Their appearance could reflect women's surrender facing the action of violence. The investigation for antifungal effect of medicinal plants, combination infusion of Piper bettle leaves, Punica granatum Fructus Cortec, Curcuma domestica Rhizome. The tested demartophyta used Candida albicans. This research using dilution method to determine of minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and difusion method to determine zone inhibition around of disc. The results of determination of MIC showed that combination infusion Piper bettle leaves with Punica granatum Fructus Cortex against C. albicans respectively, 31,2 mg/ml : 7,8 mg/ml; 15,6 mg/ml : 15,6 mg/ml and 7,8 mg/ml : 31,2 mg/ml. China’S Role In Indonesia's “Crush Malaysia” Campaign, A Dahana

This paper argues that contrary to the traditionally accepted opinion, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) participated in the Indonesian campaign to crush Malaysia half-heartedly. In fact, despite its strong propaganda broadcast in supporting Indonesia, the PRC was actually a passive participant in the campaign. This is due to the fact that at that time the Chinese supported Malayan Communist Party, which was pursuing a more conciliatory policy toward the Malaysian government. Furthermore, China was probably more concerned with the well-being of ethnic Chinese Malaysia than supporting the local communist party.
