Phytoestrogen is the chemical compound contains in plant which has estro-genic like effect. Estrogen has important function on woman’s sexual organ, such as proliferation of uterine and vaginal cornification. Phytoestrogen are weak agonists for estrogen and illicit statistic significantly increases in uterine wet weight, at definite dose, in uterothrophic bioassay. Biji Klabet or Fenugreek seed (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) contains steroidal sapogenins such as diosgenin, tigogenin, gitogenin, yamogenin and trigoneoside, that suspected having an estrogen-like ef-fect or as phytoestrogen. The Impact Of Personal Characteristics And Intrinsic Motivation On Creative Behavior Among Indonesian Radio Station Managers, Nugroho J. Setiadi, Anees Janee Ali, Rehana Aafaqi

The South East Asian Journal of Management

The main purpose of the article is to increase understanding in some personal characteristics affecting creative performance among Indonesian radio station managers’ leadership context. Using creativity-relevant personal characteristics and motivation as input model, the authors identified that both of these two variables are positively related to creative performance. The study hypothesized that Leader-member exchange (LMX) moderate the relationship between personal characteristics and creative performance. Among a sample of 283 Indonesian radio station managers, results found that creativity-relevant personal characteristics and intrinsic motivation were positively related to creative performance when managers’ perception of followers’ work contribution toward them (as the second …

This paper is based on a maritime archeological research that grounds itself on the preservation of archeological artefacts and maritime culture. Research on a number of drowned ships at the bottom of the sea and their cargo reveals the relationship between maritime culture and living regional communities. As a new paradigm in maritime archeology, its aim needs to be commensurate with the aim of the conservation efforts which is the empowerment of the communities themselves, and the communities outside of them, and needs to be oriented toward the interests of identity nurturance, development, and economy.

The effect of Tauge Extract Medium (TEM) concentration to the growth of Subang isolated Scenedesmus. Research on the effect of several concentration of Tauge Extract Medium (TEM) to Scenedesmus Meyen cell densities was conducted. The research was an experimental study with complete random design with 8 treatments, i.e. 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, 6% TEM, aqua bides, and Bold Basal Medium (BBM). The results showed that TEM concentration effected cell densities of Scenedesmus. Triglyceride hydrolysis using lipase has been proposed as a novel method to produce raw materials in food and cosmetic industries such as diacylglycerol, monoacylglycerol, glycerol and fatty acid. In order to design a reactor for utilizing this reaction on industrial scale, constructing a kinetic model is important. Sulfonation of γ-ray iradiated and styrene-grafted crosslinked polytetrafluoroethylene film (cPTFE-g-S film) have been done. The aim of the research is to make hydropyl membrane as proton exchange membrane fuel cell. Sulfonation was prepared with chlorosulfonic acid in chloroethane under various conditions. Peningkatan jumlah tenaga kerja Indonesia yang diberangkatkan keluar negeri seiring dengan kebijakan nasional diikuti oleh peningkatan berbagai masalah yang mengarah pada pelanggaran hak azasi manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui berbagai kekerasan yang menyertai setiap tahap penempatan tenaga kerja Indonesia dan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam dan metoda analisis tema. Penelitian diadakan di Propinsi Sumatera Barat, pada bulan April-Mei 2006. Hasil penelitian menemukan semua TKI berangkat pada usia muda. TKI dengan tingkat pendidikan/akses informasi terbatas mudah terjebak dalam pemberangkatan ilegal. Kini angka kematian perinatal di Indonesia adalah 24 per 1.000 kelahiran, sekitar 77% merupakan sumbangan kematian neonatal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian kematian perinatal di Indonesia dan memperkirakan program intervensi yang paling berperan dan menurunkannya. Lebih dari 90% kematian ibu disebabkan komplikasi obstetrik yang sering tidak dapat diramalkan pada saat kehamilan. Pada umumnya kematian Ibu dan kejadian kesakitan setelah bayi lahir adalah akibat kegagalan untuk menanggulangi komplikasi persalinan. Kebanyakan komplikasi itu terjadi pada saat atau sekitar persalinan. SDKI 2003 melaporkan bahwa 9% persalinan dilakukan di fasilitas pemerintah dan 31% pada fasilitas swasta, sedangkan 59% masih dilakukan di rumah.
