This research is aimed to test empirically the influence of three Corporate Social Responsibility reporting (CSR) practices on the quality of CSR disclosure. Specifically, the research is conducted to determine whether the practices are substantive in nature, which is to improve the quality of disclosure as media of accountability to stakeholders; or simply symbolic to establish a company’s positive image. The three practices are the use of standalone CSR reports, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) frameworks, and external assurance services for CSR reports. This study aims to examine the influence of media coverage, industry sensitivity and corporate governance structure on the quality of environmental disclosure. The sample of this study is taken from six industries (mining, energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and beverages) from Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2011, 2012 and 2013. This study uses panel data regression analysis and employs 128 listed companies as the samples of the study. The results show that industry sensitivity, multiple directorship, board size, firm size and ROA positively affect the quality of environmental disclosure. It has become a common issue that the Global Fund (GF) as one of the largest international donors to AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Program will immediately stop the funding. Data shows that in 2009 GF ATM support reached 88,8% while APBN funding just cover 11,2% of the total budget needed. However, APBN budget for ATM programs was significantly increased in 2012 which covered almost 30% of the total budget. Reproduction characteristic of female egg-carrying buntingi, Xenopoecilus oophorus had been studied. This research was conducted at Lake Poso, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Specimens were collected monthly from August 2012 to July 2013 at four sampling stations around the lake. Macroscopic observations of ovarian maturity level and gonadosomatic index revealed a long reproductive period during the rainy season, with four spawning peaks in November, January, February and April. The highest total fecundity was 135 oocytes, and the highest batch fecundity was 36 oocytes. Analysis of the oocyte diameter frequency distribution showed X. oophorus is a multiple spawner. Di Indonesia, masalah label pada kemasan makanan kurang mendapat perhatian konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari determinan kepatuhan membaca label pada kemasan makanan oleh ibu rumah tangga di Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian dengan metode survei ini dilakukan dari bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2013. Data dikumpulkan secara potong lintang dengan menggunakan angket. Variabel terikat adalah kepatuhan membaca label pada kemasan makanan yang terdiri dari label informasi nilai gizi, komposisi makanan, masa kedaluwarsa, harga, dan status halal. Angka kematian ibu dan angka kematian bayi di Indonesia masih tinggi. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan tingginya risiko kematian pada ibu dan bayi adalah kelahiran terlalu dekat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari determinan jarak antarkelahiran pada perempuan multipara di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data Survei Demografi Kesehatan Indonesia tahun 2012 pada 9.945 perempuan multipara. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann Whitney, Kruskal Wallis, dan regresi logistik. Median jarak antarkelahiran sebesar 62 bulan dan 22,8% perempuan memiliki jarak antarkelahiran kurang dari tiga tahun. This paper aims to assess the role of middle class in Indonesia's democracy, with the particular focus of the last Indonesian Presidential election. This study uses econometric analyses to assess preferences of middle class in presidential election by exploring data at district/city and provincial. The main finding in this study strongly suggests that religious and personality are still important elements under the race of Indonesia president. This study also found that different group of middle class has different attitudes in selecting the presidential candidate and the upper group of middle class is more likely to select Joko Widodo. This research relies on structuralist approach assuming that artists have potential choices to select motifs according to their artistic repertoire. That appropriate choices are guided by the site location in the region. Etnographic studies of animal motifs in rock art shows totemism, shamanism, and everyday life as cultural contexts. The Sama-Bajau, or Bajo diaspora, extends from the southern Philippines and Sabah (Malaysian Borneo) to the eastern part of Indonesia. The Indonesian Bajo, now scattered along the coasts of Sulawesi (Celebes) and East Kalimantan, the Eastern Lesser Sunda Islands and Maluku, were once mostly nomadic fishermen of the sea or ocean freight carriers. Background: Garcinia xanthochymus extract has been reported to have several pharmacological properties. This study was conducted to evaluate cytotoxic and anti-inflammatory activities of G. xanthochymus extracts on cell lines. Methods: The roots and stem barks of plant were extracted using maceration method with n-hexane, dichloromethane and methanol, successively. Cytotoxic activity of the extracts was tested against MCF-7 breast adenocarcinoma using MTT assay. Anti-inflammatory study was evaluated using RAW 264.7 mouse macrophage cells. The nitric oxide production in LPS-stimulated cells was measured using Griess reagent.
