The Indonesian Capital Market Review

In this study, we analyze contrarian and momentum strategies in periods associated with optimism or pessimism, and we compare them to the normal market sentiment condition. We evaluate the sentiment using the Arms adjusted index. Then, using the vector autoregressive test, we analyze the relationships among sentiment, stock returns, excess returns, and volatility. The results show that the formation of a short-term portfolio in one- and three-month periods of optimism and pessimism do not create additional returns and results in losses. In addition, the outcomes indicate that combining normal market sentiment with behavioral finance strategies increases performances, with more significant …

This study analyze the influence of non-deliverable forward (NDF) and the spot rate of USD/IDR against Bank Indonesia reference rate, Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR). NDF which came earlier than JISDOR is used by the market participant as the reference rate. The simple method of NDF determination had a great impact on the volatility of the rupiah currency, pushing the Bank Indonesia to issue its own reference currency. The National Health Insurance (JKN) is basically a form of managed care, a technique that integrates health costing and service quality through cost control and quality control. In that concept, the Puskesmas acts as the government’s primary healthcare facility, its vanguard. The aim of this research is to discover and analyze the healthcare usage patterns funded by capitation and non-capitation in government primary healthcare facilities (FKTP). This was an analytical study utilizing a cross-sectional design. 615 patients visiting the government’s FKTP were involved in this research. The fluctuation in exchange rate Indonesia may have an impact on the price of imported goods both consumer goods (finished goods) and raw materials. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of exchange rate changes on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of foods categories and analyze the role of the exchange rate in explaining fluctuations in the CPI of food category in Indonesia. Despite recording double digit growth since 2005, North Sulawesi’s tax to GDRP ratio has been fairly stable at about 0,24% on average (6,89% to total revenue). This paper cataloques a range of factors that may account for the local tax potential of North Sulawesi’s to strengthen its fiscal capacity. Calculation on local tax potency especially on restaurant tax confirm gap between real revenues and its potency about Rp1.06 billion. Controlling food inflation in Indonesia is essential mainly caused by its persistent and relatively significant impact on the poor’s purchasing power compare to other commodities. Thus, the main purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of monetary policy on food inflation stabilization in Indonesia. By utilizing Structural Vector Autoregression, the empirical results provided here show that monetary policy does effectively prevent the spillover effect of food to non-food inflation. In addition to that, the exchange rate may play some role in the longer period to affect the volatility of food inflation.

The study aims to determine the relationship between demographic factors, personal factors and organizational factors toward burnout of nurses in the inpatient unit RSJ West Kalimantan Province. It is a quantitative study with cross-sectional approach using MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory) instrument. Samples are the total population amounted to 122 nurses. The results showed that 82.8% are nurses with low category of burnout while 17.2% in middle category of burnout. The most dominant variables related to burnout is the workload of nurses.
