Neuropati merupakan salah satu komplikasi tersering pada diabetes melitus (DM). Neuropati dapat memengaruhi kualitas hidup, derajat kesehatan, maupun tingkat ekonomi. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengetahui kualitas hidup pasien DM dengan neuropati beserta dampak yang ditimbulkannya terlebih dahulu agar mendapatkan penanganan yang tepat demi meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien. Tuberkulosis paru (TB) pada anak kian menjadi masalah kesehatan global yang masih terlupakan seiring dengan peningkatan proporsi TB di Indonesia. Penularan penyakit ini di populasi umum seringkali berdampak pada anak, terlebih ketika kontak TB terjadi di rumah tangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh faktor protektif sehingga anak tetap sehat meskipun memiliki kontak dengan penderita TB dewasa serumah. Diabetes melitus (DM) adalah salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang paling umum di Indonesia. DM disebabkan berbagai faktor risiko. Peningkatan prevalensi DM salah satunya disebabkan oleh perubahan gaya hidup di perkotaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan prevalensi DM yang didiagnosis dokter pada laki-laki dan perempuan usia 15 tahun keatas yang tinggal di daerah perkotaan di Indonesia. Analisis menggunakan data sekunder Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) 2013 dengan desain studi potong lintang. Total sampel sebanyak 333.731 responden. Erythema multiforme (EM) is an acute mucocutaneous hypersensitivity reaction characterized by skin eruptions with or without oral or other mucous membrane lesions. This study was conducted to determine the prevalence, clinical characteristics, and etiologic pathogen in adult patients with invasive candidiasis (IC) at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hhospital. Methods. In 2010–2014, Semarang was involved as the big three city with high incidence rate of dengue in Central Java province. This study aimed to analyze the financing by the local government for Dengue preventive program in 2013-2015, as well as the resources gap. The health account approach was used to analyze spending by source, function, and provider. Total local government spending for dengue in 2013 were IDR 4.018.927.020,- increased by 101% in 2014 and increased by 218% in 2015. Introduction. Data of complicated intraabdominal infections (cIAI) and the epidemiology of causative microorganisms which is Indonesian characteristics is required to develop a guideline. Thus, a preliminary study run to find out such characteristics. Method. Data of subjects with cIAI managed in six centers of teaching hospital in Indonesia in period of 2015–2016 were collected. Background: This study aimed to determine the prevalence, antibiotic, and toothpaste sensitivity of oral streptococcal isolates in healthy individuals in the Okada community of Nigeria. Methods: Oral samples were collected from 230 volunteers and were subjected to standard microbiological tests. Antibacterial sensitivity tests were carried out on the streptococcal isolates that were obtained using a disk diffusion technique, and eight kinds of toothpaste (A-H) were screened for their antibacterial effects on Streptococcus mutans (S. mutans). To assess the oral health status and oral hygiene habits of the dependent elderly in Muang Phitsanulok, Thailand. Methods: 70 dependent elderly with an activity of daily living score of 0 - 4 were selected for this study using a convenience sampling technique. Both participants and their caregivers were interviewed and an oral examination was carried out on all subjects. Information regarding demographics, oral health care habits, and oral health status including dental caries, remaining dentition, and occluding pairs of teeth was collected. Introduction. Diagnosing community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in the elderly remains a clinical challenge for various reasons. The clinical manifestation in the elderly is not frank and atypical manifestations, e.g. falls, decrease of functional status and food intake or urinary incontinence, may be present. Biofilm is an aggregate of consortium bacteria that adhere to each other on a surface. It is usually protected by the exopolysaccharide layer. Various invasive medical procedures, such as catheterization, endotracheal tube installation, and contact lens utilization, are vulnerable to biofilm infection. The National Institute of Health (NIH) estimates 65% of all microbial infections are caused by biofilm. Periplasmic α-amylase (MalS) is an enzyme that hydrolyzes α-1, 4- glicosidic bond in glycogen, starch, and others related polysaccharides in periplasmic space. Lebih dari 50% pasien tuberkulosis memiliki indeks massa tubuh (IMT) yang rendah. Rendahnya IMT dapat memperburuk respon pengobatan dan memperbesar risiko gagal pengobatan. Studi kohort retrospektif ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan IMT dengan konversi sputum pada pasien tuberkulosis paru BTA positif. Studi dilakukan pada Desember 2013- Januari 2014 di poli paru RSUP Persahabatan dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 120 pasien (60 pasien dengan IMT < 18,5 kg/m2 dan 60 pasien dengan IMT >18,5 kg/m2 ). Sampel diambil secara konsekutif. Probabilitas kumulatif gagal konversi pada pasien tuberkulosis paru BTA positif adalah 17% dan 9,2% pasien mengalami gagal konversi. Leptospirosis merupakan masalah kesehatan di Indonesia. Hingga April 2014, dilaporkan kasus leptospirosis yang ditularkan oleh tikus di Kabupaten Boyolali dengan angka kematian 83,3%. Genus Leptospira terdiri dari ratusan serovar dan tipe genetik yang hidup di pelbagai jenis habitat. Pengelompokan spesies Leptospira berdasarkan gen rpoB dapat digunakan karena tingkat polimorfisme gen tersebut tinggi. Pneumonia merupakan penyebab kematian tertinggi pada anak di Indonesia setelah diare. Pengendalian pneumonia dapat dilakukan dengan peningkatan cakupan imunisasi campak, pertusis, Streptococcus pneumoniae (Spn), dan Haemophilus influenzae b (Hib). Vaksin Spn dan Hib belum masuk ke dalam kategori imunisasi wajib di Indonesia. Vaksin campak lebih memiliki pengaruh langsung terhadap pneumonia dibandingkan dengan vaksin pertusis. Pemberian imunisasi yang disertai pemberian vitamin A akan meningkatkan titer antibodi pada anak. This research was based on the Minister of Defense’s Decree No. 16/2012 that stated that all national defense components to integrate into one unit when they encounter military and non-military threats. The Ministry of Health, as the main player, and other governmental and private agencies would also play a role in overcoming complex and multidimensional non-military threats, especially in the health sector. Among those threats are infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS and Ebola. We aim to discover the implementation process of the law above in the management of those two diseases.
