Symmetry And The Order Of Events In Time. A Proposed Identity Of Negative Mass With Antimatter, Randy Wayne
Symmetry And The Order Of Events In Time. A Proposed Identity Of Negative Mass With Antimatter, Randy Wayne
Turkish Journal of Physics
In another paper in this series, we developed a symmetrical theory of mass which describes how systems of positive mass and negative mass will respond to an input of thermal energy. A system composed of positive mass or negative mass will respond to an input of thermal energy in opposite ways. For example, if a system composed of positive mass expands in response to radiation from a hot body, a system composed of negative mass will contract. Likewise, if the system composed of positive mass contracts when brought in communication with a cold body, a system composed of negative mass …

Near-Resonant Diurnal Reactions: A Physical Model Applicable To Origin Of Life Processes, Eddwin Budding, Cüneyt Aki, Osman Demi̇rcan, Bülent Gündüz, Güngör Gündüz, Mehmet Emi̇n Özel
Turkish Journal of Physics
We adopt that the large residual chemical potential energy (CPE) among reagents of the biosphere constitutes the key physical problem posed by life. We associate the formation of this CPE with the near-resonant behaviour of a two-stage `A-B' molecular process that behaves as a self-sustaining parametric oscillator. Under suitable conditions, such an oscillator generates CPE when forced by a periodic (daily) insolation. The net growth factor required to explain the current mean excess of biospheric CPE is \sim 5 x 10^{-12} d^{-1}. This aligns with the mean exponential coefficient of secular oxygen generation in the terrestrial atmosphere. It is also …

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences
In Palestine, as in other countries, brucellosis is an endemic disease, even in highly vaccinated zones. Many reports suggest that a decline in vaccine productivity may be due to antigenic shifts in the circulating Brucella melitensis. To address this aspect, the hemagglutinin gene from B. melitensis field isolates was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), sequenced, digested with the EcoRV and HaeIII, and compared to the Rev.1 strain of the B. melitensis vaccine. From January to December 2008, 80 milk samples were collected from infected flocks, from different West Bank regions of Palestine. From these, 77.5% (62/80) were shown to …

Management Of Root-Knot Disease In Eggplant Through The Application Of Biocontrol Fungi And Dry Neem Leaves, Mujeebur Rahman Khan, Fayaz Ahmad Mohiddin, Mohd Nadeem Ejaz, Mohd Mahmud Khan
Turkish Journal of Biology
The incorporation of dry neem leaves into the soil significantly enhanced the yield of uninoculated eggplant, but aldicarb treatments at 4 kg a.i./ha proved to be phytotoxic. Inoculation with root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita (1500 J_2/plant) caused a significant decrease in both the plant growth (12.5%) and the yield (11.9%) of eggplant cv. Pusa Purple Round. Treatments involving neem leaves, Pochonia chlamydosporia, Paecilomyces lilacinus, Trichoderma harzianum, or aldicarb reduced the suppressive effect of the nematode, leading to a significant increase in the dry matter production and yield of inoculated plants compared to the inoculated control. Neem leaves induced a 19% increase …
