Global climate change exposes crops to numerous abiotic and biotic stress factors, significantly threatening their growth, development, and overall productivity. Among the various abiotic stresses, salt and drought are the most detrimental, having a severe impact on yield stability. Late Embryogenesis Abundant proteins (LEA) represent a broad and varied class of polypeptides that accumulate in response to cellular dehydration across diverse organisms. 154 walnut genotypes from various geographic regions were analyzed in the study. Micronutrient concentrations of zinc (Zn) ranged from 1.61 to 8.98 mg/100 g, and the concentrations of copper (Cu) varied between 0.12 and 0.38 mg/100 g. 16,473 SNPs were generated using Diversity Array Technology (DArT) for genome-wide association (GWAS) studies. The Mixed Linear Model (MLM) utilizing the Q + K model revealed seven associated markers for the element Zn in 2021 and four in 2022. The apple (Malus domestica [Suckow] Borkh) is economically and culturally significant worldwide, thriving in temperate regions. This study examined genetic variations among 52 apple accessions from three research centers in Kazakhstan using the iPBS-retrotransposons marker system. Out of 35 screened markers, 12 highly polymorphic markers were selected for PCR amplification, resulting in 280 bands, 279 of which were polymorphic, yielding a 99.64% polymorphism rate. Genetic diversity indices showed substantial variation: effective number of alleles (ne=1.655), Shannon's information index (I=0.373), gene diversity (h=0.549), and an average genetic distance of 1.2. The advent of next-generation sequencing technologies, mainly double digest restriction site-associated DNA sequencing (ddRADSeq), has significantly advanced the development of molecular markers for crop genetics. This study used ddRADSeq to identify and develop insertion-deletion (InDel) markers in 25 peanut genotypes from diverse geographic regions. The bioinformatic analysis unveiled 62728 InDels across the peanut genome, predominantly between 1-5 bp, which constituted 96% of the total, while InDels of ≥ 6 bp accounted for 3.96%. In this study, the genetic structure of honey bee populations in Türkiye was analyzed using eleven restriction endonuclease enzymes targeting the COI-COII, COI, 16S rDNA, ND5, and CYT B genes. A total of 553 worker honey bee samples were collected from 43 different districts across Türkiye, as well as from Greece, Bulgaria, and Georgia, neighboring countries of Türkiye. Analysis of the COI region using the HinfI restriction enzyme revealed the presence of two mitotypes. Among the heterogeneous Pasteurellaceae family, Pasteurella multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica are the pathogenic species that cause enzootic pneumonia in cattle and sheep. This study aimed to characterise Pasteurella and Mannheimia species obtained from pneumonia cases in cattle and sheep. 100 cattle and 100 sheep lungs diagnosed with infectious pneumonia as a result of histopathological examination were analyzed for Pasteurellaceae members by phenotypic methods, VITEK 2 Compact system and PCR. Antibiotic susceptibilities and phylogenetic analysis of the isolates were done by VITEK 2 Compact System and 16S rRNA-PCR, respectively. Drought represents a major global threat to the environment, thus leading to food insecurity. Transcription factors (TFs) have a significant role in regulating the expression of stress-related genes. TALE genes, a type of TF, are known to regulate important biological processes like the maintenance of shoot apical meristems and root formation in plants. To address the problem of atrazine residue in soybeans affecting the ecological environment and human health, in the presentstudy it is proposed to combine the bioorganic fertilizer DNBF10 and the highly efficient degrading bacterial strain AT-b3 with themagnetic biochar carrier MBC to form a novel DMBC-P bioremediation technology. The results indicated that the DMBC-P technologycould effectively reduce the residual amount of atrazine in soybeans and significantly enhance their growth and physiological indexes bypromoting atrazine degradation and phosphorus utilization and reducing oxidative stress. Approximate convex decomposition enables the simplification of complex shapes into manageable convex components. In this work, we propose a novel surface-based method to achieve this which leads to efficient computation times and sufficiently convex results while avoiding over-approximating the input model. We start approximation using mesh simplification. Then we iterate over the surface polygons of the mesh and divide them into convex groups. We utilize planar and angular equations to determine suitable neighboring polygons for inclusion in forming convex groups. This paper explores the correlations between morphological variability and range dynamics in western Eurasian-Mediterranean flora through a fluctuating asymmetry (FA) perspective across ten climate scenarios. We investigate the potential distribution of Scilla L. and its thermopluviometric correlations, and compare them with other three genera analysed previously, for western Eurasia and northern Africa (Baldellia Parl., Jasione L., and Ononis L. -Viscosae and Natrix sections-), considering past (22 Kyrs), present, and future conditions (2081-2100). The present study evaluated the effects of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) and silver nanoparticles (AgNP) on Salvia nemorosa L. under NaCl stress. To this end, total soluble sugar, total phenolic and flavonoid contents, total antioxidant capacity, H2O2 content, photosynthetic pigment, MDA, and proline contents, and enzymatic antioxidant activities were assessed. When the results for photosynthetic pigment contents were evaluated, the highest levels of total carotenoid content, chlorophyll a, and chlorophyll b were obtained with NaCl + AgNP + MeJA treatment. The influence of seasonal paddy farming activities on the paddy field environment and its composition of birds could be visually observed but has yet to be systematically studied and is still relatively understudied in Malaysian Borneo. A new species of pycnogonid collected from the shallow waters in Güllük Bay (Aegean Sea), Anoplodactylus gullukensis n. sp., is described and illustrated. Description of taxonomic characters of this species are given and differences from related species are indicated. An identification key for Anoplodactylus species known from Türkiye is provided.

Lectin is often used to investigate the differentiation and maturation of spermatogenic cells in the testes of several wild animals, facilitating the screening of mature individuals. Therefore, this study aimed to determine spermatogenesis activity using lectin histochemistry in water monitor lizards harvested from the wild. Testes of 43 comprehensively examined water monitor lizards (Varanus salvator) were collected from slaughterhouses in Palembang (Sumatra) and Banten (West Java), Indonesia, with Snout-Vent Length (SVL) ranging from 39 to 96 cm. This study aims to provide a comprehensive summary of the fundamental biological and certain population characteristics of Ciona intestinalis found along the Black Sea coasts of Turkey. The research was conducted between September 2022 and April 15, 2023, off the Sinop coast of the Black Sea, utilizing samples collected by commercial fishing vessels in the region. A total of 103 specimens of Ciona intestinalis were examined during the study. The connection between plant species and nest site preference for the Asian weaver ant Oecophylla smaragdina remainspoorly understood despite their common occurrence in the urban areas of tropical regions. The reticulated leatherjacket Stephanolepis diaspros and the Por’s goatfish Upeneus pori occur as lessepsian migrants in the eastern and central Mediterranean Sea. This article reports about the findings of one reticulated leatherjacket and two Por’s goatfishes in the Gulf of Castellammare, southern Tyrrhenian Sea, which suggest a possible westbound expansion of the Mediterranean distribution for the latter species. Structural modifications in lichen phenolic compounds have been one of the tools to potentiate their biological activity. In the present work, seven alkyl derivatives of norstictic acid were prepared and evaluated against eight cell lines. Norstictic acid was isolated from the lichen Ramalina anceps and the alkyl derivatives were obtained through reactions with alcohols. Cytotoxicity was evaluated against the 786-0 (kidney carcinoma), MCF7 (breast carcinoma), HT-29 (colon carcinoma), PC-03 (prostate carcinoma), HEP2 (laryngeal carcinoma), B16-F10 (murine melanoma), UACC-62 (human melanoma), and NIH/3T3 (mouse embryonic fibroblast) cell lines using the sulforhodamine B assay.
