Examining The Digital Archives And Academic Library Records Management In The Digital Era: The Significance Of Using Blockchain Technology, Adeniyi Isaiah Kayode, Sunday Adebisi Oguntayo Dr

Purpose: This study aims to examine the awareness and perception regarding the relevance of adopting blockchain technology for managing digital archives in academic libraries, Nigeria.

Design/methodology/approach: Ten system librarians who were chosen from five distinct academic libraries in Nigeria's Southwest geopolitical zone serve as the study's sample. An open-ended survey was used to gather data for the study, which took a strictly qualitative approach.

This work examines the thermodynamics of model biomolecular interactions using a governing equation that accounts for the participation of bulk water in the equilibria. In the first example, the binding affinities of two DNA duplexes, one of nine and one of 10 base pairs in length, are measured and characterized by isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) as a function of concentration. The results indicate that the change in solvation free energy that accompanies duplex formation (ΔGS) is large and unfavorable. The duplex with the larger number of G:C pairings yields the largest change in solvation free energy, ΔG …

Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) are the accelerator of choice in a variety of application domains, because they can accelerate massively parallel workloads and can be easily programmed using general-purpose programming frameworks such as CUDA and OpenCL. Each Streaming Multiprocessor (SM) contains an L1 data cache (L1D) to exploit the locality in data accesses. L1D misses are costly for GPUs for two reasons. First, L1D misses consume a lot of energy as they need to access the L2 cache (L2) via an on-chip network and the off-chip DRAM in case of L2 misses. This study explored how librarians in Delta and Edo University libraries used social media to promote their services and resources. The study's population consisted of 127 librarians from federal, state, and private university libraries in the Delta and Edo states. The entire enumeration sample approach was used in the investigation. The data were examined with simple percentages, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics (the mean was set at 2.50). A Historical Framework Of The Qualitative Analysis Of Social Media For Libraries And Archives, Kheir Fakhreldin

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

Since the widespread adoption of social media in the 2010s, many libraries and archives have begun to use social media engagement as part of their outreach. While likes, retweets, and follows can be easily measured, there are also qualitative aspects of social media engagement that can illuminate other aspects of repositories' social media communication with their users. This article looks at historical trends in qualitative analysis of social media and suggests ways in which libraries and archives can incorporate qualitative analysis into their social media strategy.
