The construction industry only increased its labor productivity by 1% over the past two decades, significantly lagging other industries' development. Several factors influence productivity on construction sites, including ineffective workforce management, outdated technologies, and environmental factors, such as heat and humidity. Construction projects in countries experiencing high temperatures and humidity presented even lower productivity rates when compared with countries with mild temperatures. Thus, there is a need to analyze productivity in these regions, identify the factors impacting it, and establish baseline values to optimize construction processes in these challenging environments. The purpose of this study was to identify financial incentives for consumers in low interest margin housing loan markets, such as Finland, for green housing loans, including both green mortgages and renovation loans. Recruiting and retaining students from underrepresented populations, such as female students, is challenging for construction programs at higher education institutions. This paper discusses how outreach activities have successfully been used to build a sense of community and belonging for female students in a baccalaureate construction management program at a four-year higher education institution. Activities from the outreach program, ideas for funding sources, challenges and lesson learned, and recommendations for developing similar outreach programs will be highlighted in the article that could be incorporated at other institutions.

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the XXXX University-U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) partnership certificate program, aimed at rapidly upskilling personnel for construction management roles. Surveying 240 graduates, including both USACE-affiliated and non-affiliated participants, this research examines perceptions of the program's impact on proficiency in three key areas: scheduling, estimating, and construction law. With a 22.9% response rate, results indicate perceived improvement across all key areas, with respondents reporting more significant gains in construction law proficiency. Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become an essential component in modern construction engineering, offering significant opportunities for performance improvement. However, some organizations face a critical decision in their BIM implementation strategies: whether to outsource BIM deliverables to external consultants or to develop and maintain in-house BIM teams. This study explores energy-efficient passive tubular daylighting systems which utilizes natural lighting, reduce energy consumption and improve occupant well-being in buildings. For this, three passive daylighting collectors configuration of flat plate, circular dome and circular Fresnel lens were modelled using AutoCAD and SolidWorks and analysed using ray tracing software TracePro 7.3.4. The light transportation was done using a highly reflective light pipe with a reflectivity of 95%. Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) have emerged as a key urban innovation to accelerate the transition toward climate neutrality and sustainability in cities. This study explores the integration of backcasting methodologies and Digital Twin (DT) strategies to advance the development of PEDs. A two-step approach was employed: participatory backcasting workshops to co-create long-term visions and actionable strategies, and DT technology applications tailored to three Urban Living Labs (ULLs) in Vienna (Austria), Gothenburg (Sweden), and Sakarya (Türkiye). The City of Cape Town has a rapid urbanization rate leading to environmental challenges and a pressing need to incorporate vegetation into buildings. The objectives are to determine the challenges associated with the integration of vegetation into building design, the policies relate to it and the current practices used.
