Perovskite semiconductors are promising materials for high-efficiency photovoltaics due to their outstanding optoelectronic properties, emerging as a sustainable energy source through solar cell applications. Perovskites with the ABX₃ composition (A, B = metal or organic cations with varying oxidation states; X = chalcogen or halogen anions) have gained interest for their excellent phase stability and compositional tunability. Cuneiform writing has a small but privileged position in Derrida’s Of Grammatology – providing the text with its first two epigraphs. By elucidating the source and import of these inscriptions and evaluating Derrida’s understanding of the cuneiform writing system in reference to more recent grammatological studies, this paper explains the significance of these references to the ancient Near East for Derrida’s arguments regarding the origins of Western metaphysics and logocentrism. However, today, in addition to the resources mentioned previously, many more options that provide just-in-time support for students’ learning exist, including online resources. The high demand and energy consumption in student housing raise significant financial, social, environmental, and organizational concerns in achieving sustainability. This study assesses the critical drivers of smart energy adaptation among Purpose-Built student housing in Ghana. The study used a quantitative research method, whilst 225 questionnaire surveys were distributed among the student housing investors (through Public-Private Partnership) within eight public tertiary and technical universities in Ghana. Building information modeling (BIM)-based whole life carbon assessment (WLCA) of buildings is critical to reaching Hong Kong’s 2050 Net Zero target. However, the adoption of BIM-based WLCA is not as apparent as it should have been. This study aims to examine the criticality of various challenges that prevent the wide adoption of BIM-based WLCA in Hong Kong. To this end, 20 challenges were identified from a comprehensive literature review, and a questionnaire survey was performed with 80 construction professionals. To support SDG 14, this study presents a buoy-based water quality monitoring system designed for cage aquaculture in Penghu, Taiwan. The system floats on the sea, enabling continuous water quality monitoring with real-time location tagging. It consists of three main components: an offshore buoy, an on-site client, and a remote server. The offshore client, controlled by an NI myRIO, integrates various water quality sensors and a GPS module to accurately measure pH, oxidation-reduction potential, dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids, and conductivity. To address these issues, this study presents a framework integrating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and deep learning-based computer vision for automated ergonomic risk assessment of construction workers. This research examines expenditures for renewal/renovation construction and research grant income in higher education science and engineering research facilities to identify correlations. A positive correlation suggests income benefits accrue to institutions that preserve facilities while a negative correlation suggests facilities have limited long-term value and replacement is a more cost-effective means to sustain the physical infrastructure. The research has implications for other non-profit agencies and how they determine whether to maintain facilities or allow development of a significant capital renewal backlog.

This research aims to identify effective practices and strategies that improve preparedness and response capabilities by examining the factors contributing to mitigating challenges in emergency response. A comprehensive literature review was adopted to analyse current trends, case studies, and expert opinions regarding global emergency response infrastructure. The review synthesised existing research and case studies and provided insights into practical experiences and perspectives from diverse operational contexts. The research highlights 11 factors categorised into 7 key factors that contribute significantly to mitigating challenges in emergency response.
