This pamphlet seeks to review some of the errors made in a previously printed pamphlet entitled "The Privilege of the Writ of Habeus Corpus under the Constitution", which was written by the Honorable Horace Binney. The cover is composed primarily of the title, "The write of Habeas Corpus, and Mr. Binney", split across six lines of text which are evenly spaced. There is a handwritten note or signature along the bottom of the cover reading "By John T. Montgomery Esq.".

This handwritten invoice, dated May 1862, is for one heavy ox wagon at sixty dollars, 2 log wheels at forty dollars each, for a total of one hundred and forty dollars. The items were taken by Captain Barstow for hauling timber for railroad bridges at Fredericksburg, Virginia and were never returned to Peleg Clarke. There is some damage in the center of the page.

Army from Peleg Clarke, Jr. that has not yet been paid for and the costs of each item. The broadside is printed in one column and features a bold heading, printing of American eagle, and flag at the top center. No publisher is noted, but sources establish a possible attribution to J.M. Forbes, Boston. It was printed circa September-December, 1862. The broadside is a scarce early printing in an unusually large size.
