Geographic Variation In Morphology And Allozymes Within Tree Squirrels, Sciurus Niger And S. Carolinensis, Of The Lower Mississippi River Valley., Nancy D. Moncrief Jan 1987

Geographic Variation In Morphology And Allozymes Within Tree Squirrels, Sciurus Niger And S. Carolinensis, Of The Lower Mississippi River Valley., Nancy D. Moncrief

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Geographic variation was studied in fox squirrels, Sciurus niger, and gray squirrels, S. carolinensis, by comparing patterns of differentiation within and between these two sympatric species. Patterns of variation were examined in light of the lower Mississippi River as a potential barrier to dispersal and gene flow in these squirrels. Differences within and between species were analyzed using morphologic (15 cranial and mandibular measurements) and allozymic (35 presumptive gene loci) characters. Geographic patterns of variation among populations were apparent in the morphology and allozymes of both species; patterns of differentiation in morphologic and allozymic characters are similar between species; however, …

The Development Of Children's Expertise In Tennis: Knowledge Structure And Sport Performance., Sue Lynn Mcpherson Jan 1987

The Development Of Children's Expertise In Tennis: Knowledge Structure And Sport Performance., Sue Lynn Mcpherson

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

This research examined children's development of knowledge structure and sport performance in tennis. A knowledge test was designed to measure declarative knowledge and a serve and groundstroke skill test were developed to measure skill. An observational instrument was designed to record the components of performance for the serve (decision and execution) and game play following the serve (control, decision and execution). Phase 1 compared expert and novice tennis players within two age levels, 10-11 years-old and 12-13 years-old, on the individual components of tennis performance and on measures of tennis knowledge, serve skill, and groundstroke skill. Experts regardless of age …

The Effects Of Semantic Mapping Instruction On The Text-External Inferences Of College Developmental Readers., Debbie Guice Longman Jan 1987

The Effects Of Semantic Mapping Instruction On The Text-External Inferences Of College Developmental Readers., Debbie Guice Longman

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

In reading, text-external inferences are made when the reader integrates schemata with text information. Because inference generation occurs within the reader, background knowledge and reading skill affect inferential comprehension. This research consists of two studies to determine, first, whether college developmental and non-developmental readers activate prior knowledge when reading and making inferences (Experiment One) and, second, if direct instruction in semantic mapping increases activation of prior knowledge by developmental readers. The results of Experiment One indicated non-developmental readers with high prior knowledge use prior knowledge more than developmental subjects and that developmental subjects with high prior knowledge use that knowledge …

Development Of Wash And Cook-Proof Methods For Rice Enrichment., Esmond Winston Joseph Jan 1987

Development Of Wash And Cook-Proof Methods For Rice Enrichment., Esmond Winston Joseph

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Rice grains were simultaneously enriched with vitamin (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and pyridoxine) mixes and cross-linked under acidic and alkali conditions using acetaldehyde and epichlorohydrin, respectively. Results indicated that acidic cross-linked rices had higher vitamin contents than corresponding alkali cross-linked rices. Acidic rices were also shown to be more successful in allowing the vitamin mixes to penetrate the surface of rice grains and to subsequently interact with and become an integral part of rice starch matrix. These acidic enriched rices had higher individual vitamin values of greater than 100% at the 3 gram level than both the control (untreated rice grains) …

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there was a significant difference in understanding the concept of variable and in attitudes toward mathematics among sixth-grade students who programmed LOGO graphics, students who used textbook-based activities, and students who received no instruction on the concept of variable. The subjects were 89 sixth-grade students (47 female, 42 male) from two middle schools in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. The Test of Logical Thinking (TOLT), Robustness Semantic Differential (RSD), and Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills (CTBS) were administered as pre-treatment tests. The study was conducted in two phases, pre-treatment …

The Relation Between Daily Stress And Health., Glenn Neil Jones Jan 1987

The Relation Between Daily Stress And Health., Glenn Neil Jones

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

The role of stress in the development and exacerbation of physical symptoms has long been a topic of interest. The present investigation attempted to establish if there is an association between the irritants and demands of everyday life--termed minor stressors--and health. In order to investigate the influence of minor stressors on health, it appears necessary (for a number of reasons discussed in the text) to account for the influence of major life events on health and on minor stressors. Both major and minor stressful events were assessed using two approaches: simple frequency counts, and a subjective weighting approach which attempts …

Planning And Interactive Decision-Making In Expert Elementary Physical Education Teachers., Deborah J. Howell Jan 1987

Planning And Interactive Decision-Making In Expert Elementary Physical Education Teachers., Deborah J. Howell

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

This paper describes the planning and interactive decision making used by expert elementary physical education teachers as they developed and taught a 5 day unit on basketball dribbling. Secondly, it explores the relation between teachers' planning productivity (number of statements made) and student achievement. Expert elementary physical education teachers (N = 11) provided information regarding their thought processes during planning and interactive decision making. Planning sessions were conducted prior to each lesson with teachers using the "think aloud" technique. All instructional lessons were videotaped. Following each of the first three lessons, teachers were shown a videotape of the lesson and …

The Relation Between Selected Student Characteristics And Activity Patterns In A Required High School Physical Education Class., Karen Martha Greenockle

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

This study described the activity patterns of students in a high school fitness class and explored the structural relations between particular student characteristics and their coded exercise behavior. Exercise behavior was systematically coded during an 8-week jogging unit in 10 high school physical education classes. Additional measures of distance covered, heart rate, perceived exertion, percent of days participated, and fitness level were also collected. Although percent of time spent jogging was low (18%), with no significant gains made in cardiovascular fitness, the amount of time spent jogging, the distance covered, and fitness level were all significantly correlated (r $>$.48, …

Malaysian Prawn (Macrobrachium Rosenbergii) Production Studies In Polyculture Schemes With Channel Catfish (Ictalurus Punctatus)., Mark Steven Lamon Jan 1987

Malaysian Prawn (Macrobrachium Rosenbergii) Production Studies In Polyculture Schemes With Channel Catfish (Ictalurus Punctatus)., Mark Steven Lamon

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Three Malaysian prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii)/channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) polyculture studies were conducted from May 1984 through October 1986. In the first study prawn stocking size and density on catfish and prawn production were examined. In 1984 catfish, x = 24 g, were stocked at 9,884/ha. Prawns, x = 0.04 g, were stocked at 4,942, 9,884 and 14,826/ha. After 144 days catfish average weights, survival and yields were $<$340 g, $<$78% and $<$2,000 kg/ha, respectively. Prawn weight, survival and yields ranged from 34-54 g, 47-61% and 165-344 kg/ha, respectively. In 1985 catfish, x = 33 g, were stocked at 7,410/ha and prawns, x = 0.15 and 0.70 g, were stocked at 1984 densities. After 137 days catfish average weight, survival and yields were 427 g, 86% and 2,726 kg/ha, respectively. Prawn weight, survival and yields ranged from 48-73 g, 41-88% and 110-471 kg/ha, respectively. Positive economic net returns were achieved with 0.15 g prawns stocked at 14,826/ha and 0.70 g prawns stocked at 9,884 or 14,826/ha. In a second study prawn bottom location preference and movement were determined in ponds. Males were more frequently observed in the deep ends of ponds and near the ponds' perimeters, and females were observed more frequently in the shallow ends and in the middles of ponds. Prawn movement did not differ between day and night, averaging 1.1 m/hr. Two-funnel crawfish traps and box traps with slit entrances, 12 and 24 hr set times, and white light and commercial crawfish bait attractants were evaluated for capturing prawns. Traps were not effective at capturing prawns regardless of set time or attractant. In the third study catfish and prawn mean lengths and weights from cast-netted and seined samples were compared to a complete population census taken after 48, 92 and 139 days of growth. Ponds were stocked with catfish at 7,410/ha and prawns at 1984 study levels. Cast-netted samples under-estimated and seined samples over-estimated catfish size. Cast-netted and seined sample prawn means did not differ from each other or population parameters. Catfish and prawn size variation increased over time. Catfish and prawn survival decreased during the first 48 days and then remained constant throughout the rest of the grow-out period.

Characteristics Of Rumen Fluid And Particulate Microorganisms And The Effect Of Particulate Microorganisms On In Situ Forage Digestibility., John Adeoye Olubobokun Jan 1987

Characteristics Of Rumen Fluid And Particulate Microorganisms And The Effect Of Particulate Microorganisms On In Situ Forage Digestibility., John Adeoye Olubobokun

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

The effect of diet and time after feeding on microbial crude protein (CP) and dry matter (DM) associated with undigested rumen particles was investigated using diaminopimelic acid (DAPA) as a microbial marker. In a subsequent experiment, in situ CP and DM digestibilities were corrected for microbial contamination of non-masticated and masticated (M) forages. Particle-associated (PA) microorganisms had a higher (P $<$.01) concentration of organic matter (OM) than fluid microorganisms 2 and 23 h after feeding. Bacterial fraction had a higher (P $<$.01) concentration of CP than protozoal fraction. However, the quantity of OM, CP and DAPA per ml of strained rumen fluid equivalent were higher (P $<$.01) in the protozoal than in respective bacterial fractions. In experiment two, CP and DAPA concentrations (%) and quantity (mg/ml SRFE) of OM, CP and DAPA were constant over time (P $>$.10) in fluid, loosely-associated (LA) and firmly-associated (FA) populations. Mean CP and DAPA concentrations were in the order fluid $>$ LA $>$ FA and fluid = FA $$ fluid (P =.07). Over 50% of the PA population …

Fail-Safe Local Area Networking Using Channel Redundancy., Ibibia Karisemie Dabipi Jan 1987

Fail-Safe Local Area Networking Using Channel Redundancy., Ibibia Karisemie Dabipi

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Local area networks represent a major development in data communications. The ring topology is the most popular of the local area networks. Its inherent problem, however, is the breakdown of the entire network in the event of a station failure resulting in total shut-down until repairs can be made. This dissertation is a study of designs for fail-safe local area networks. Two methods for maintaining the operation of a ring network are analyzed and compared. The first method uses a double-ring where the inner loop is optically coupled to the outer ring whenever a node failure occurs. The analysis performed …

An Assessment Of Africanized Honey Bees (Apis Mellifera L.) As Crop Pollinators., Robert George Danka Jan 1987

An Assessment Of Africanized Honey Bees (Apis Mellifera L.) As Crop Pollinators., Robert George Danka

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Neotropical Africanized honey bees are predicted to replace European bees and become the primary agricultural pollinators in the southern and coastal regions of the United States. This research used direct comparative studies to assess foraging activities and beekeeping-management responses which are expected to govern the performance of Africanized bees as crop pollinators. European colonies fielded on average $3\times$ as many foragers as did Africanized colonies and had percentages of colony members foraging that were nearly $3\times$ as high. European colonies also had much greater variability in foraging activity (ranges: 42-1679 foragers for European bees; 119-352 foragers for Africanized bees); European …

Mortality And Growth Responses Of Juvenile Pines And Hardwoods To Various Fire Intensities., Thomas Alexander Greene Jan 1987

Mortality And Growth Responses Of Juvenile Pines And Hardwoods To Various Fire Intensities., Thomas Alexander Greene

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Prescribed burning for hardwood control in young southern pine stands has been limited by inability to predict the safety and efficacy of burns of specific intensities. In this study I quantified the effects of various fire intensity levels on girdling, scarring, and subsequent-year growth response of loblolly pine (Pinus taeda L.), water oak (Quercus nigra L.) and sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua L.) saplings between 3 and 10 cm diameter at ground line (dgl). Two hundred saplings of each species in four dgl classes were treated at five fire intensity levels, 0, 36, 64, 80, and 98 kJ/s/m, with a propane-fueled backfire …

A Study Of The Temperature Dependence Of Ion-Molecule Association Reactions. Halide Ion Addition To A Selected Group Of Lewis Acids., Charles Ray Herd Jan 1987

A Study Of The Temperature Dependence Of Ion-Molecule Association Reactions. Halide Ion Addition To A Selected Group Of Lewis Acids., Charles Ray Herd

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Recent evidence has indicated that the ion-molecule association reaction BF$\sb 3$ + F$\sp -$ - thinspace- BF$\sb 4\sp -$ has both collisional stabilization and radiative stabilization pathways. Preliminary studies indicated that other boron trihalide systems (BF$\sb 3$ + Cl$\sp -$, Br$\sp -$, and BCl$\sb 3$ + Cl$\sp -$, Br$\sp -$) behave similarly. We have studied the temperature dependence of these systems in an effort to learn more about the individual rate coefficients that constitute the standard association mechanism modified to include a radiative stabilization pathway. In order to determine properties of a system which play an important role in the …

Rice Stink Bug, Oebalus Pugnax (F.), On Rice: Evaluation For Plant Resistance, Interaction Of Field Fungi With Feeding Damage, And Evaluation Of Insecticides For Control., Marieanne Eva Hollay

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Feeding punctures of the rice stink bug (RSB), Oebalus pugnax (F.), provide fungi entry sites into rice, Oryza sativa (L.), grains and kernels (hulled grains). Feeding sheaths also serve as a source of nutrients for fungi. Grain spotting fungi did not affect the percentage of spotted kernels (pecky rice) and significantly reduced full grain weight only at low infestation rates of one and two RSB per panicle. Panicles had been treated with a single application of propriconazol (1000 ppm) soon after flowering and later infested in the early milk stage with RSB adult pairs for 9 days. Propriconazol was not …

An Experimental Research Study On The Effect Of Recognition And Disclosure Of Corporate Pension Plan Assets And Obligations On Investment Decisions., Mary Jeanne Welsh Jan 1987

An Experimental Research Study On The Effect Of Recognition And Disclosure Of Corporate Pension Plan Assets And Obligations On Investment Decisions., Mary Jeanne Welsh

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

The purpose of this study was to determine whether investment decisions are affected by the way in which pension information is presented in financial statements. MBA students and financial analysts were asked to estimate future stock prices and make purchase recommendations for ten cases based on selected sets of accounting and financial information. Three different forms of the information cue set were used. The pension cue was presented in a footnote to the cue set, as a line-item in the cue set, which was the equivalent of a balance sheet position, or incoporated into the debt/asset ratio. Responses were analyzed …

High Energy Proton-Emulsion Nucleus Interactions., Louis Matthew Barbier Jan 1987

High Energy Proton-Emulsion Nucleus Interactions., Louis Matthew Barbier

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

This paper presents the results of an experiment in which nuclear emulsions were exposed to the 800 GeV proton beam at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. This is the highest energy proton beam presently available for a fixed target experiment. This research provides a systematic, high statistics study of proton-nucleus interactions and yields new information on multiplicities, target fragmentation, and particle correlations. The results are used to evaluate theoretical particle production models. Extrapolations to nucleus-nucleus collisions are made on the basis of these models. Both single particle and two particle distributions have been analyzed. The multiplicity distribution of produced particles can …

Spectroscopic Studies Of Cobalt(Ii) Thiolates And Cobalt(Ii) - Substituted Metallothioneins., Barbara Ann Dixon Jan 1987

Spectroscopic Studies Of Cobalt(Ii) Thiolates And Cobalt(Ii) - Substituted Metallothioneins., Barbara Ann Dixon

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Metallothioneins (MT) are widely occurring proteins characterized by low molecular weights and extremely high metal and sulfur content. Mammalian forms usually contain seven diamagnetic metal ions such as Zn(II) and/or Cd(II) and 20 cysteine residues. An understanding of the physiological role(s) of MT requires the elucidation of the nature and type of metal clusters, and the mechanism of assembly in MT. The stepwise incorporation of Co(II) ions into apo-metallothionein-2 from rabbit liver has been monitored by UV-visible absorption, low temperature magnetic circular dichroism (MCD), and EPR spectroscopies. Interpretation of the results has been facilitated by parallel spectroscopic studies of synthetic …

The Role Of The Piano In Samuel Barber's "Despite And Still"., Bruce Leslie Gibbons Jan 1987

The Role Of The Piano In Samuel Barber's "Despite And Still"., Bruce Leslie Gibbons

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

The piano has performed various functions in song literature from the simple givning of a pitch to the evocation of the sonorities of an orchestra. It has provided harmonic support, rhythmic interest, and contrapuntal material for interaction with the voice. The piano has also been used to create mood and illustrate the text. Certain nineteenth-century composers, such as Franz Schubert (1797-1828), Robert Schumann (1810-56), Johannes Brahms (1833-97), and Hugo Wolf (1860-1903), helped establish the piano as an equal partner with the voice. A number of twentieth-century American composers have continued this tradition of partnership. Among them, Samuel Barber (1910-81) is …

Vacuum Growth And Characterization Of Thin Films Of Zinc Tin Diphosphide., Hyun Yong Shin Jan 1987

Vacuum Growth And Characterization Of Thin Films Of Zinc Tin Diphosphide., Hyun Yong Shin

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

A vacuum growth technique has been employed for the first time to grow thin films of ZnSnP$\sb2$. Near stoichiometric thin films of polycrystalline ZnSnP$\sb2$ have been grown on GaAs and quartz substrates. A reasonable degree of reproducibility of the film composition from one run to the next was achieved by using a quadrupole mass analyzer probe in conjunction with a digital feedback controller to maintain constant Zn flux. The growth parameters for the system including the estimates for the Zn/Sn flux ratio at the substrate and the optimum substrate temperature have been obtained for the near stoichiometric film growth. The …

Polypeptides: Conformational Transition And Complex Formation With Catechins And Procyanidins., Luanne Faith Tilstra Jan 1987

Polypeptides: Conformational Transition And Complex Formation With Catechins And Procyanidins., Luanne Faith Tilstra

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Theoretical explanations of the $\alpha$-helix to coil transition which employ rotational isomeric state calculations are reviewed. Recent advances in this field include the development of similar fundamentals for the intramolecular antiparallel $\beta$-sheet to coil transition. This dissertation adds to the current body of knowledge by outlining a formularization to calculate the mean square end-to-end distance, $\langle{\rm r}\sp2\rangle\sb{\rm o},$ of a homopolypeptide for the transition from random coil to intramolecular antiparallel $\beta$-sheet conformation. The formularization is translated into a computer program in the C language and values of $\langle{\rm r}\sp2\rangle\sb{\rm o}$ are calculated for a number of different statistical weights. These …

The purpose of this study is to show the influence that Lena Milam had on the development of music education and community music in Beaumont, Texas, from 1919 to 1955, the period during which she served as Supervisor of Music for the Beaumont Schools. It further shows that it was largely through her efforts that Beaumont developed a music education program, a civic involvement in music, and an awareness and appreciation of music that surpassed other Texas cities of comparable size during this period. Although the study was delimited to include only the developments in music education and community music …

Generation, Migration, And Transportation Of Gas Contaminated Regions Of Drilling Fluid., Vicente Casariego Jan 1987

Generation, Migration, And Transportation Of Gas Contaminated Regions Of Drilling Fluid., Vicente Casariego

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

The control of high pressure gas encountered while drilling for hydrocarbon reservoirs is one of the more expensive and potentially dangerous problems of the oil producing industry. When the control of high pressure gas is not accomplished flow of gas from the formation to the wellbore occurs. Once detected, the gas influx is stopped by shutting-in the well. This is the first measure taken in a series of operations which are designed to bring back the well under control. These operations are referred to as well control procedures. Well control simulators are used both for evaluating well control procedures and …

Bionomics Of The Sugarcane Borer, Diatraea Saccharalis (F.), In Sweet Sorghum, Sorghum Bicolor (L.) Moench., Billy Wayne Fuller Jan 1987

Bionomics Of The Sugarcane Borer, Diatraea Saccharalis (F.), In Sweet Sorghum, Sorghum Bicolor (L.) Moench., Billy Wayne Fuller

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Economic impact studies revealed that the sugarcane borer, Diatraea saccharalis (F.), reduced sweet sorghum yield of total sugars up to 46% in artificially infested field trials. A significant relationship was found between D. saccharalis damage and yield loss that indicated an economic injury level of 10% bored internodes. Stalk weight, percent sucrose, and total sugars were negatively correlated to D. saccharalis damage; and increased fiber content was positively correlated to percent bored internodes. Information from damage levels, along with survival records, indicated that the economic threshold was reached when approximately 5% of the sweet sorghum plants contained small D. saccharalis …

Spectroscopy Of Hexamethyldipyrromethene And Of Metallo Hexamethyldipyrromethene Complexes., Timothy Gale Fillingim Jan 1987

Spectroscopy Of Hexamethyldipyrromethene And Of Metallo Hexamethyldipyrromethene Complexes., Timothy Gale Fillingim

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

The conformations of the dipyrromethene molecule seem to control the spectral properties of its derivatives and its metal complexes. A sharply structured absorption band at 505nm that is red shifted relative to the broad structureless neutral ligand absorption band at 445nm when a weak base is added to hexamethyldipyrromethene in DMSO is inferred to be that of a negative ion. Another sharply structured absorption band at 489nm is observed after addition of a strong base to a solution of hexamethyldipyrromethene in DMSO and is inferred to be that of a different negative ion of hexamethyldipyrromethene. The two different negative ions …

The Role Of Horizontal Processes In Upper-Ocean Prediction: A Forecast Simulation In The Sea Of Japan., John M. Harding Jr Jan 1987

The Role Of Horizontal Processes In Upper-Ocean Prediction: A Forecast Simulation In The Sea Of Japan., John M. Harding Jr

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

Present-day, operational, upper-ocean, thermal-structure forecast models consist of mixed-layer models with local wind-generated horizontal and vertical advection. To extend their applicability into dynamically active regions, e.g. western boundary current regions, the next generation models are envisioned to include mesoscale advection provided by high horizontal resolution circulation nowcast and, eventually forecast models. In this study, I consider the impact of this additional component of advection in a representative dynamic ocean region. I perform four experiments using a modified version of an operational, upper-ocean, thermal prediction model. Each of the four experiments consists of a series of daily, 72-hr-duration, upper-ocean hindcasts. They …

Nitrone Spin Traps For Biological Studies. (Volumes I And Ii)., William Reeves Huie Jan 1987

Nitrone Spin Traps For Biological Studies. (Volumes I And Ii)., William Reeves Huie

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

A variety of aldonitrones for spin-trapping investigations have been synthesized, purified, and characterized. The alicyclic 5-member ring nitrones 5,5-dimethyl-1-pyrroline-N-oxide (DMPO) and 3,3,5,5-tetramethyl-1-pyrroline-N-oxide (TMPO) and its long-chain derivatives were prepared in 3 or 4 steps. The reaction steps involved a Michael addition to yield the $\gamma$-nitrocarbonyl compound, subsequent mild reduction with zinc and aqueous ammonium chloride to yield the cyclic intermediate nitrone, a Grignard addition reaction to give the hydroxylamine, and finally copper-catalyzed aerial oxidation of the hydroxylamine to provide the aldonitrone. Poor overall yields were obtained. In contrast, the acyclic aromatic nitrone $\alpha$-phenyl-N-tert-butyl nitrone (PBN) and its derivatives were prepared …

Six different forms of the information cue set were used--three accounting methods (deferred method of comprehensive allocation, flow-through, and flow-through with footnote disclosure of deferred taxes as under the deferred …

Magnetism In Bcc And Fcc Manganese., Gonzalo Fuster Jan 1987

Magnetism In Bcc And Fcc Manganese., Gonzalo Fuster

LSU Historical Dissertations and Theses

The electronic band structure, magnetic moment, and density of states of bcc and fcc manganese are calculated as a function of the lattice constant, using the LCGO method, on the local density approximation. For bcc manganese, two magnetic phases were found: a low moment state (m $\simeq$ 1 $\mu\sb{\rm B}$) and a high moment state (m $\ge$ 2.4 $\mu\sb{\rm B}$). For a small range of lattice constants (a = 5.9 to 6.025 a.u.), two local minima of the energy can coexist, yielding two different values of the moment for the same lattice constant. For fcc manganese, two phases were found: …
