The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dexmedetomidine (DEX) alone on pain mitigation following cautery disbudding in calves. A total of 21 calves were randomly divided into three groups: sham-disbudded control with placebo (S, n = 8); hot-iron disbudded after placebo (D, n = 6); hot-iron disbudded after 0.01 mg/kg of DEX (DeD, n = 7). We tried to better understand the prevalence and characterization of M. morganii strains in cattle. A total of 191 nasal swab samples from beef cattle in Guang'an, Yibin, and Ziyang, Sichuan province, China were collected. The presence of M. morganii in the swabs was determined by PCR. This study describes the clinical manifestation, bacterial pathogens and antibiotic sensitivity in cats diagnosed with Feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD). A total of 61 cats diagnosed with FLUTD from 2018 to 2019 were included in this study. Medical records were reviewed and rational antibiotic therapy was calculated from the data collected on antibiotic sensitivity. Most cats in this study belonged to indoor multi-cat households with shared facilities. Thirty-two cats (52.45%) had positive urine cultures and were diagnosed with urinary tract infections. The present study evaluates the clinical effects of early post-partum prostaglandin administration on milk output, vaginal discharge and mastitis in sow. Two groups of sows were used: sows (n = 25) treated with prostaglandin F-2alpha (PGF-2α) intramuscularly 36 h after farrowing and a control group (n = 48) that did not receive any treatment. Seventy-two hours after farrowing, all animals were scored for rectal temperature, respiratory rate, feed ingestion, milk output, vaginal discharge and mastitis. Background: Craniosynostosis is a deformity of the skull associated with the premature fusion of one or more cranial sutures. In children with syndromic craniosynostosis, anomalies related to the cranial base and midface contribute to midface hypoplasia, affecting the diameter of the axial facial concavity. Nonsyndromic craniosynostosis, especially bilateral coronal suture craniosynostosis, may result in abnormal facial proportions and affect sinonasal anatomy.

การสกัดแบบขุ่นถูกนำมาประยุกต์ใช้เพื่อสกัดโทลูอีนออกจากน้ำเสียโดยใช้สารลดแรงตึงผิวชนิดไม่มีประจุเป็นสารสกัดโดยเมื่ออุณหภูมิของสารละลายของสารลดแรงตึงผิวสูงกว่าจุดขุ่นสารละลายจะแบ่งวัฏภาคออกเป็นสองวัฏภาค ประกอบด้วยวัฏภาคที่มีไมเซลล์จำนวนมากและวัฏภาคที่มีไมเซลล์จำนวนน้อย ซึ่งจำนวนไมเซลล์นี้เองเป็นตัวบ่งชี้ถึงปริมาณสารปนเปื้อนที่ถูกสกัดได้เพราะสารปนเปื้อนสามารถละลายอยู่ในไมเซลล์ในงานวิจัยนี้มีการขยายขนาดการ สกัดจากการสกัดแบบกะในหลอดทดลองขนาดเลิกเป็นการสกัดแบบต่อเนื่องในหอสกัดนำร่องแบบจานหมุน (rotating disc contactor) พบว่าความเร็วรอบการกวนและอุณหภูมิที่ใช้สกัดมีผลต่อประสิทธิภาพการสกัด กล่าวคือเมื่อความเร็วรอบการกวนสูงขึ้นจากที่ไม่มีการกวนเป็น 150 รอบต่อนาที ความเข้มข้นของโทลูอีนในน้ำที่บำบัดแล้วมีค่าลดลงจากความ เข้มข้นเริ่มต้นของโทลูอีนในน้ำเสีย 100 ส่วนในน้ำล้านส่วนเป็น 12 ส่วนในน้ำล้านส่วน หรือร้อยละ 88 ของโทลูอีน ถูกสกัดแยกออกจากน้ำเสียที่อุณหภูมิการสกัด 40°C เมื่อเพิ่มอุณหภูมิการสกัดเป็น 50 °C ที่ความเร็วรอบการกวน 150 รอบต่อนาที พบว่าสามารถลดความเข้มข้นของโทลูอีนในน้ำเสียเหลือเพียง 8 ส่วนในน้ำล้านส่วนเท่านั้นหรือร้อยละ 92 ของ โทลูอีน ถูกสกัดแยกออกจากน้ำเสีย
