The most important blood group system in cats is the AB system, which is identified by the presence and absence of antibodies and the antigen on the surface of red blood cells. Blood type A, B and AB are recognized in cats worldwide. The presence of strong alloantibodies against type A in all type B cats, and those with high titer against type B in some type A cats can cause significant transfusion reactions when cats are transfused with mismatched blood. งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาการปรับปรุงพื้นผิวตะแกรงกรองตะกอนของเสียจากระบบหมุนเวียนน้ำเพื่อการเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำด้วยวัสดุนาโนเพื่อป้องกันการเกาะติดของฟิล์มชีวภาพ โดยช่วงแรกเป็นการศึกษาการปรับปรุงพื้นผิวด้วยแนวทางต่างๆ ผลการทดลองพบว่าการพ่นเคลือบด้วยอนุภาคซิลิกาขนาดนาโนลงบนพื้นผิวตะแกรงหนา 1 ชั้นทำให้พื้นผิวตะแกรงมีสมบัติความไม่ชอบน้ำยิ่งยวดโดยวัดค่ามุมสัมผัสบนพื้นผิวได้มากกว่า 150º ซึ่งเพิ่มขึ้นจากการวัดบนพื้นผิวตะแกรงแบบปกติ 30º ในขณะที่การสังเคราะห์ชั้นเลเยอร์ดับเบิลไฮดรอกไซด์ที่แทรกด้วยสเตียเรตไอออนสามารถเพิ่มค่ามุมสัมผัสได้เพียง 16º ทั้งนี้การปรับปรุงพื้นผิวทั้งสองแนวทางส่งผลให้พื้นที่การไหลของน้ำลดลงไม่เกินร้อยละ 5 และ 6 ตามลำดับ สำหรับการศึกษาประสิทธิภาพการทำงานของตะแกรงที่ปรับปรุงพื้นผิว พบว่าโครงสร้างของอนุภาคซิลิกาขนาดนาโนและชั้นเลเยอร์ดับเบิลไฮดรอกไซด์มีความคงทนอยู่บนพื้นผิวตะแกรงได้สูงสุด 15 และ 10 วัน ตามลำดับ ภายใต้อัตราการไหลของน้ำที่ 750 ล./ชม. การทดลองช่วงสุดท้ายเป็นการประยุกต์ใช้หน่วยแยกตะกอนกับน้ำเสียจากระบบการเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำ พบว่าประสิทธิภาพในการแยกตะกอนของตะแกรงปกติ ตะแกรงที่สังเคราะห์ชั้นเลเยอร์ดับเบิลไฮดรอกไซด์และแทรกด้วยสเตียเรตไอออน และตะแกรงที่พ่นเคลือบด้วยอนุภาคซิลิกาขนาดนาโนมีค่าเฉลี่ยร้อยละ 59 52 และ 65 ตามลำดับ ทั้งนี้ตะแกรงที่พ่นเคลือบด้วยอนุภาคซิลิกาขนาดนาโนสามารถป้องกันการสะสมของตะกอนและการเกาะติดของฟิล์มชีวภาพบนพื้นผิวตะแกรงได้นานกว่าตะแกรงปกติ 7-10 วัน ดังนั้นการปรับปรุงพื้นผิวตะแกรงให้มีสมบัติความไม่ชอบน้ำยิ่งยวดจึงเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาหน่วยแยกตะกอนในระบบหมุนเวียนน้ำเพื่อการเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำให้มีประสิทธิภาพในการป้องกันการเกิดฟิล์มชีวภาพเพื่อเพิ่มระยะเวลาการทำงานได้ดียิ่งขึ้น

In the search of antioxidant and antibacterial agents, the extracts and isolated compounds from lichen Parmotrema dilatatum, Knema angustifolia full name, Persicaria odorata and Mansonia gagei. were examined. Nine compounds were isolated from lichen P. dilatatum including (E)-2,4-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-(3-oxobut-1-en-1-yl)benzoate (PD.1), hopane-16ß,22-diol (PD.2), methyl orsellinate (PD.3), methyl haemmatomate (PD.4), methyl ß-orcinolcarboxylate (PD.5), 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-3,6-dimethylbenzoic acid (PD.6), atranol (PD.7), atranorin (PD.8) and lecanorin (PD.9). The dichloromethane and acetone fractions, and atranol (PD.7) gave excellent activities as antioxidants. While in tyrosinase activity the dichloromethane fraction and atranorin (PD.8) showed the highest inhibition. Duck Tembusu virus (DTMUV), a mosquito-borne Flavivirus, caused an emerging disease in ducks in Asia since 2010, resulting in significant economic loss in duck producing industry. After the initial outbreak in 2013, DTUMV cases have been continuously detected in several duck farms in Thailand. Thus, the disease surveillance and the genetic characterization of the Thai DTMUV are necessary. A cross-sectional study was performed for household survey using a questionnaire with a face-to-face interview to determine the general characteristics and water consumptions during flooding events in flood-prone communities, Pak Phanang and Chian Yai district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Thailand between February-July 2020. From a 425 household survey, 69.5% were female, two-thirds of the participants aged 46 years old and above, and had the average monthly household income at 7305.13 ± 7016.56 Baht. Duck Tembusu virus (DTMUV), an emerging infectious disease in ducks, belongs to the Ntaya virus group of the Flavivirus genus in the Flaviviridae family. The emergence of DTMUV has been observed in layer and breeder duck farms in China since 2010 and in layer and broiler duck farms in Thailand since 2013. Feline morbillivirus (FeMV), a relatively new virus, has been discovered in domestic cats and associated with kidney diseases since 2012 in Hong Kong. The FeMV study gained widely attentions in many countries whereas the pathogenesis remains elusive. These studies aimed to provide the FeMV knowledge in Thai domestic cat by performing the genetic-based, serological-based and pathological-based studies of FeMV-infected in Thai cats. Additionally, the indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and rabbit polyclonal antibody against FeMV matrix (FeMV-M) protein was produced for seroprevalence and viral localization by immunohistochemistry (IHC) techniques, respectively. Canine parvovirus (CPV-2) emerged and caused severe enteritis in dogs since the 1970s. The last variant, CPV-2c is considered as the high virulent strain and spread ubiquitous worldwide. This strain was early detected in Vietnam since 2002, but the whole genome is still fragmentary. In this study, we attempted to gain the whole genome of CPV-2c from the Vietnamese infected dogs as the first report of the full-length CPV-2c sequence originated from Asia. ยาทีโนโฟเวียร์เป็นยาต้านไวรัสเอชไอวีที่ใช้เป็นส่วนประกอบของสูตรยาหลักในการรักษาผู้ใหญ่ที่ติดเชื้อเอชไอวีในประเทศไทย ยาทีโนโฟเวียร์ทำให้การทำงานของไตลดลง แต่ไม่มีข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับอุบัติการณ์ รวมทั้งระยะเวลาที่ทำให้เกิดการทำงานของไตผิดปกติในผู้ใหญ่ไทยที่ใช้ยาทีโนโฟเวียร์ วัตถุประสงค์การวิจัย เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการใช้ยาทีโนโฟเวียร์กับการเกิดภาวะการทำงานของไตบกพร่องและโรคไตเรื้อรัง การศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงวิเคราะห์แบบ Retrospective cohort ทำการศึกษากับผู้ใหญ่ไทยที่ติดเชื้อเอชไอวีที่ไม่เคยได้รับยาต้านไวรัสเอชไอวีและเริ่มมารับการรักษาที่คลินิกเอชไอวี รพ.ตำรวจ ตั้งแต่ 1 มกราคม พ.ศ.2552-31 ธันวาคม พ.ศ.2558 เปรียบเทียบอัตราอุบัติการณ์ รวมทั้งระยะเวลาของการเกิดการทำงานของไตผิดปกติในกลุ่มที่ใช้ยาต้านไวรัสเอชไอวีที่มีและไม่มียาทีโนโฟเวียร์เป็นส่วนประกอบในสูตรยากลุ่มละ 700 คน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า อัตราอุบัติการณ์ของการเกิดภาวะการทำงานของไตบกพร่องในกลุ่มที่ได้รับและไม่ได้รับยาทีโนโฟเวียร์ คือ 27.66/1,000 คน-ปี และ 5.54/1,000 คน-ปี อัตราอุบัติการณ์ของการเกิดโรคไตเรื้อรังในกลุ่มที่ได้รับและไม่ได้รับยาทีโนโฟเวียร์ คือ 4.52/1,000 คน-ปี และ 2.29/1,000 คน-ปี จากการวิเคราะห์ด้วย Mixed model method พบว่า ค่าเฉลี่ยอัตราการกรองของไตของผู้ป่วยลดลงทั้ง 2 กลุ่ม โดยกลุ่มที่ได้รับยาทีโนโฟเวียร์มีค่าเฉลี่ยของอัตราการกรองของไตน้อยกว่า 1.92 มิลลิลิตร/นาที/1.73 ตารางเมตร (p-value = 0.022) Adjusted hazard ratio ของการเกิดภาวะการทำงานของไตบกพร่องในผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับยาทีโนโฟเวียร์ คือ 5.57 (95% CI 2.87-10.79, p-value <0.001) Adjusted hazard ratio ของการเกิดโรคไตเรื้อรังในกลุ่มที่ได้รับยาทีโนโฟเวียร์ คือ 2.36 (95% CI 0.76-7.33, p-value = 0.138) อัตราการกรองของไตลดลงอย่างรวดเร็วในช่วง 2-3 ปีแรกหลังเริ่มได้รับยาทีโนโฟเวียร์ การตรวจติดตามการทำงานของไตอย่างใกล้ชิดจะช่วยป้องกันไม่ให้ผู้ป่วยเกิดความผิดปกติของไตในอนาคต

ความต้องการการแพทย์ทางเลือก (Complementary and Alternative Medicine: CAM) เพิ่มขึ้นทั่วโลกเช่นเดียวกับการแพทย์แผนไทย (Thai Traditional Medicine: TTM) ภายใต้แผนยุทธศาสตร์ระยะยาวต่าง ๆ ของกระทรวงสาธารณสุข แต่การส่งเสริมการใช้ TTM ถูกจำกัดโดยการแพทย์แผนปัจจุบันที่เป็นกระแสหลักของระบบสุขภาพในประเทศไทยมาอย่างยาวนาน ดังนั้นการยอมรับ TTM ของแพทย์แผนปัจจุบัน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในแพทย์เฉพาะทางจึงเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญในการส่งเสริมการใช้ TTM แต่ที่ผ่านมาไม่เคยมีการประเมินอย่างเหมาะสมด้วยเครื่องมือสำรวจที่มีมาตรฐาน การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาและทดสอบนำร่องด้วยแบบสอบถามมาตรฐานในการเข้าถึงการยอมรับและการใช้ TTM/CAM ของแพทย์เฉพาะทางในประเทศไทย โดยทำการวิจัยแบบผสมผสานเชิงสำรวจบุกเบิก ประกอบด้วยการวิเคราะห์อภิมาน การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก การพัฒนาและทดสอบแบบสอบถาม และการทดสอบนำร่องด้วยแบบสอบถามมาตรฐานในแพทย์เฉพาะทางภายใต้ 8 ราชวิทยาลัยในประเทศไทย ผลการวิเคราะห์อภิมานจากบทความวิชาการที่ตีพิมพ์ในปี พ.ศ. 2545 - 2560 จำนวน 1,924 เรื่อง มีบทความที่ผ่านเกณฑ์การคัดเลือกจำนวน 25 เรื่อง พบว่าความชุกของการยอมรับการแพทย์ทางเลือกของแพทย์เฉพาะทางด้วยโมเดลแบบสุ่มมีค่าเท่ากับร้อยละ 54 (95% CI: 36%-73%) และความชุกของการยอมรับการแพทย์ทางเลือกที่มีค่าสูงที่สุดคือแพทย์เวชศาสตร์ครอบครัว ตามด้วย จิตแพทย์และแพทย์ประสาทวิทยา ประสาทศัลยแพทย์ สูตินรีแพทย์ กุมารแพทย์ วิสัญญีแพทย์ แพทย์เวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟู อายุรแพทย์ และศัลยแพทย์ แบบสอบถามการยอมรับและการใช้ TTM/CAM ของแพทย์เฉพาะทางที่พัฒนาขึ้นมีทั้งหมด 3 ตอน รวม 78 ข้อ มีความเที่ยงตรงเชิงเนื้อหา (IOC มีค่าตั้งแต่ 0.50 ขึ้นไป) และมีค่าความเชื่อมั่นของแบบสอบถามในระดับดีมาก (Cronbach’s Alpha เท่ากับ 0.96) ปัจจัยการยอมรับ TTM/CAM จากการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงสำรวจประกอบด้วย 3 ด้าน คือ ด้านกิจกรรม ด้านมุมมองเชิงบวก และด้านมุมมองเชิงลบ ซึ่งการวิเคราะห์กลุ่มแฝงแสดงให้เห็นว่าแพทย์เฉพาะทางสามารถจัดกลุ่มตามประเภทของผู้ยอมรับการแพทย์ทางเลือกจำนวน 4 กลุ่มคือ ผู้ปฏิบัติด้านการแพทย์ทางเลือก ผู้แนะนำการแพทย์ทางเลือก ผู้สนับสนุนการแพทย์ทางเลือก และผู้ไม่สนับสนุนการแพทย์ทางเลือก การทดสอบนำร่องในแพทย์เฉพาะทางจำนวน 243 คน จาก 8 ราชวิทยาลัยแสดงให้เห็นถึงรูปแบบต่าง ๆ …

การตรวจทางอณูชีววิทยาของเชื้อลิชมาเนียและทริพาโนโซมในจิ้งจกจากแหล่งระบาดของโรคลิชมาเนียในภาคใต้ของประเทศไทย, ประพิมพร ตุ่นทอง

จิ้งจกเป็นสัตว์เลื้อยคลานขนาดเล็กที่จัดอยู่ในสกุล Hemidactylus สามารถพบได้ในที่อยู่อาศัยของมนุษย์ ได้มีการรายงานว่าจิ้งจกสามารถเป็นแหล่งกักเก็บโรคได้ เช่น แบคทีเรีย และโปรโตซัว สำหรับในประเทศไทยเชื้อ Leishmania spp. และ Trypanosoma spp. มีการติดต่อสู่คนและสัตว์โดยการกัดของริ้นฝอยทรายเพศเมีย อย่างไรก็ตามข้อมูลในสัตว์ที่เป็นแหล่งกักเก็บโรคของเชื้อโปรโตซัวดังกล่าวในประเทศไทยยังมีอยู่อย่างจำกัด ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อตรวจหาเชื้อ Leishmania และ Trypanosoma DNA ในจิ้งจกที่เก็บจากบ้านของผู้ป่วย leishmaniasis ในภาคใต้ของประเทศไทย จากตัวอย่างจำนวน 57 ตัวอย่างซึ่งได้จากจิ้งจกทั้งหมด 19 ตัว ประกอบด้วยตับ ม้าม และหัวใจ ตัวอย่างทั้งหมดถูกนำมาใช้ในการตรวจหา DNA ของเชื้อ Leishmania spp. และ Trypanosoma spp. โดยเทคนิค Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) จากตำแหน่งยีน ITS1 และ SSU rRNA ตามลำดับ โดยผลการทดลองพบว่า มี 15 ตัวอย่างที่ตรวจพบเชื้อ Trypanosoma spp. ประกอบไปด้วย ตับ 4 ตัวอย่าง ม้าม 5 ตัวอย่าง และหัวใจ 6 ตัวอย่างจากตัวอย่างจิ้งจกทั้งหมด 9 ตัว แต่ไม่สามารถตรวจพบเชื้อ Leishmania spp. ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ จากผลแผนภูมิวิวัฒนาการที่ตำแหน่งยีน ITS1 แสดงให้เห็นว่า เชื้อ Trypanosoma spp. จัดอยู่ใน An04/Frog1 ของกลุ่ม Anura clade และผลแผนภูมิวิวัฒนาการของจิ้งจกที่ตำแหน่งยีน cytb แสดงให้เห็นว่าจิ้งจกทั้งหมดในการศึกษาครั้งนี้มีความเหมือนกับจิ้งจกสายพันธุ์ Hemidactylus platyurus ที่จัดอยู่ในกลุ่ม tropical asian clade โดยการศึกษานี้เป็นการตรวจพบเชื้อ Trypanosoma spp.ในจิ้งจกเป็นครั้งแรก ซึ่งข้อมูลที่ได้จากการศึกษาครั้งนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่าจิ้งจกอาจมีศักยภาพเป็นแหล่งเก็บโรคของเชื้อ Trypanosoma spp. นอกจากนี้การศึกษาอาจเป็นประโยขน์ในการป้องกันและควบคุมโรค Trypanosomiasis …

การประเมินการตกสู่เบื้องล่างของเม็ดเลือดแดงหลังการตายเพื่อประมาณระยะเวลาหลังการตายโดยใช้เครื่องวัดสี, นิชาภา พุ่มจิตร

การประมาณระยะเวลาหลังการตาย (Postmortem interval, PMI) มีความสำคัญมากในงานด้านนิติเวชศาสตร์ แต่ในปัจจุบันยังไม่มีเครื่องมือหรือวิธีที่จะสามารถประเมินระยะเวลาหลังการตายได้อย่างแน่นอน ต้องอาศัยความเชี่ยวชาญจากแพทย์ผู้ทำการชันสูตรเป็นผู้ประมาณจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงหลังการตาย (Postmortem Change) ซึ่งเป็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงของปฏิกิริยาทางเคมีหลายอย่างในร่างกายของมนุษย์เมื่อเสียชีวิต หนึ่งในการเปลี่ยนแปลงหลังการตายที่สามารถนำมาใช้ในการประมาณหาระยะเวลาหลังการตายคือ การตกสู่เบื้องล่างของเม็ดเลือดแดงหลังการตาย (Livor mortis) การตรวจโดยใช้เครื่องวัดสี (Colorimeter) ซึ่งเป็นเครื่องมือทางวิทยาศาสตร์ที่ใช้ในวัดค่าความดูดกลืนแสงที่ความยาวคลื่นใดคลื่นหนึ่ง ทำให้สามารถประเมินสีได้มากกว่าที่เห็นด้วยตาเปล่าจึงถูกนำมาใช้ในการประเมินการตกสู่เบื้องล่างของเม็ดเลือดแดงหลังการตายของผู้เสียชีวิตในงานวิจัยนี้ วัตถุประสงค์ของงานวิจัยนี้ คือ เพื่อประเมินระยะเวลาหลังการตายด้วยความแตกต่างของสีผิวของผู้เสียชีวิตที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามการตกสู่เบื้องล่างของเม็ดเลือดแดงหลังการตายโดยการใช้เครื่องวัดสีรุ่น NR20XE โดยทำการวัดค่าสีผิว (L, a, b, c, h และ ∆E) บริเวณหน้าท้องส่วนบนที่ต่อจาก xiphoid process เป็นจุดอ้างอิงและวัดสีผิวบริเวณกระดูกสันหลังส่วนเอวชิ้นที่ 1 และ 2 (Lumbar lordosis) โดยวัดทุกๆ 2 ชั่วโมง (2, 4, 6 และ 8 ชั่วโมง) และนำค่าที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของสเปียร์แมน ผลการศึกษาจากตัวอย่างทั้งหมด 27 ศพ โดยเป็นศพเพศชาย 10 คนและศพเพศหญิง 17 คน ศพตัวอย่างเพศชายมีอายุเฉลี่ย 62.30 ± 13.38 ปีและศพตัวอย่างเพศหญิงมีอายุเฉลี่ย 71.53 ± 13.22 ปี ตามลำดับและสาเหตุของการเสียชีวิตของศพตัวอย่าง แบ่งเป็นการเสียชีวิตจากโรคมะเร็งชนิดต่างๆ โรคเรื้อรังและโรคติดเชื้อ และพบว่า L, b, c, h และ ∆E กับระยะเวลาหลังการตายมีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับนัยสำคัญ 0.05 เครื่องวัดสีรุ่น NR20XE สามารถประเมินระยะเวลาหลังตายโดยมีความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสีกับระยะเวลาหลังการตายอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ซึ่งข้อมูลที่ได้อาจจะนำไปปรับปรุงพัฒนาเป็นเครื่องมือที่สามารถประเมินหาระยะเวลาหลังการตายได้อย่างแม่นยำมากยิ่งขึ้นในงานทางด้านนิติวิทยาศาสตร์ในอนาคต

การพัฒนาเทคนิคการตรวจหาเชื้อไวรัสไข้หวัดใหญ่และเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่โดยใช้เทคโนโลยี Crispr-Cas12a, อรพรรณ มยุรมาศ

ในงานวิจัยนี้ ได้ประยุกต์ใช้เทคนิค CRISPR-Cas12a ซึ่งเป็นเทคนิคที่ง่าย รวดเร็ว และประหยัดค่าใช้จ่าย ในการตรวจหาเชื้อไวรัสไข้หวัดใหญ่ และเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ จึงเหมาะสำหรับการตรวจคัดกรองผู้ป่วยโรคไข้หวัดใหญ่ และ โควิด-19 ในบริเวณที่มีอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ที่จำกัด ผลการทดสอบพบว่า การใช้เทคนิค RT-RPA ร่วมกับ CRISPR-Cas12a ตรวจหาเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ มีความไวคิดเป็นร้อยละ 96.23 และมีความจำเพาะคิดเป็นร้อยละ 100 สำหรับความไวในการตรวจหาเชื้อไวรัสไข้หวัดใหญ่ ชนิด A และชนิด B คิดเป็นร้อยละ 85.07 และ 94.87 ตามลำดับ นอกจากนี้ยังมีความจำเพาะในการตรวจหาเชื้อไวรัสไข้หวัดใหญ่ ชนิด A และชนิด B คิดเป็นประมาณร้อยละ 96 โดยสรุป เทคนิคการตรวจหาเชื้อไวรัสไข้หวัดใหญ่และเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ด้วยวิธี CRISPR-Cas12a เป็นวิธีที่มีประสิทธิภาพในการตรวจคัดกรอง และยังสามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้กับโรคติดเชื้อชนิดอื่นๆ ที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคตได้

Antimicrobial resistance is a major threat to global public health and is believed to cause over 700,000 deaths per year. Efforts to tackle this problem have tended to focus on reducing antibiotic consumption and promoting the appropriate use of medicines. This study examined the relationship between social participation and smoking among middle-aged and elderly persons. This study used a secondary dataset drawn from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS,2015). In this nationally survey, the number of observations was 9,876. The dependent variable used in this study is smoking and non-smoking. Smoking includes light smoking, moderate, and heavy smoking.
