A system is proposed herein for converting an unstructured software defect record into a standalone executable detection program that can determine, through read-only operation, whether a live deployment is exposed to the defect. The system performs a staged transformation that derives root-cause and exposure criteria, assesses the availability of required telemetry, enriches missing artifacts from trusted sources, generates detection logic under schema constraints, and validates and repairs the resulting program. A large language model (LLM) assists selected stages, while source grounding, reusable helper routines, multi-stage review, and bounded execution costs produce a reliable operational result. The program can then execute …

Adaptive Intelligence For Healthcare Service Reliability, Soumendra Kumar Mishra, Bibhuti Bhusan Mishra, Saumendra Pattnaik
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure presents an adaptive intelligence framework for improving the reliability of planned healthcare service interactions. The framework evaluates service readiness using operational evidence such as appointment status, facility and provider availability, travel conditions, accessibility requirements, and information freshness. It identifies unresolved operational information and determines the decision value of acquiring additional evidence based on its expected contribution to the reliability assessment relative to cost, time, effort, privacy, and resource use. Selected evidence is acquired and the reliability assessment is updated iteratively until sufficient confidence is established or further information provides limited decision value. When sufficient confidence cannot be established, …
Multi-Agent Orchestration Engine For Synchronized Generative Dialogue And Kinematics, Allison Garcia, Corbin Cunningham, Mike Dory
Multi-Agent Orchestration Engine For Synchronized Generative Dialogue And Kinematics, Allison Garcia, Corbin Cunningham, Mike Dory
Defensive Publications Series
Creating coordinated interactions for multi-agent systems, such as physical robots or virtual characters, can present challenges in synchronizing expressive dialogue with coherent physical actions and adapting to unscripted events. The disclosed technology describes a multi-agent orchestration engine with a decoupled architecture that can employ a tiered timeline system to manage a global narrative and individual agent states. A dynamic interruption handler can leverage a large language model to reason about real-time inputs and determine if an agent should deviate from a scripted path. The engine can then generate synchronized dialogue and high level behavioral tokens, which may be subsequently translated …

Between Extinction And Hubris: A Dialectical Approach To Ai Risk, Control, And Governance, Elise Annett, James Giordano
Strategic Insights
This Strategic Insights article looks at risks associated with autonomous artificial intelligence systems and the challenges they pose for human control and institutional governance. Dr. Annett and Dr. Giordano argue that near-term risks stem not only from advancing AI capabilities but also from the progressive transfer of human decision-making and agency to AI systems, particularly in military and intelligence contexts. They propose an adaptive governance framework emphasizing continuous testing and evaluation, meaningful human control, clear accountability, graduated autonomy thresholds, independent oversight, and international norms for high-risk AI applications.

Signals In The Ionosphere Ahead Of Tsunami Arrival, Svetlana Riabova, Sergey Shalimov
Turkish Journal of Earth Sciences
We consider the impact of the tsunami propagating after the earthquake in Tohoku on the ionosphere according to measurements from the Hawaiian Islands, i.e., at a fairly large distance from the epicenter of the earthquake. These measurements, taken at a tidal tsunami monitoring station, at a magnetometric station, and by GPS, were used to record the arrival of the tsunami. We experimentally establish that the arrival of atmospheric waves generated by the tsunami significantly advanced the arrival of sea waves at the observation point, and this advance from one source was recorded in both the lower and upper ionosphere. Attention …

Paleoecology Of Loftusia Species (Large Benthic Foraminifera) In The Zagros Basin, North Of The Neotethys, Hossein Ghanbarloo, Amrollah Safari
Turkish Journal of Earth Sciences
Paleoecological analyses based on the wall structure of the genus Loftusia were carried out in the Maastrichtian deposits of seven outcrops of the Zagros Basin. Two types of particles are present within the wall structure: (1) tiny fossil grains and (2) detrital grains. Tiny fossil grains consist of smaller foraminifera and other small microorganism tests. Foraminiferal tests are associated with miliolid, textulariid, and rotaliid forms. Detrital grains include intraclasts and extraclasts. The presence of different particles in the test wall of this genus and the abundance of this genus in nutrient-rich conditions indicate that Loftusia are probably opportunistic foraminifera. This …

Baghdad Science Journal
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is an idiopathic inflammatory disorder of the colon and the most prevalent form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) worldwide. Cytotoxic T cells are one of the most important cells in the immunopathogenesis of IBD. These cells produce serine protease granzymes that initiate an apoptotic cascade that may contribute to intestinal tissue damage in IBD. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the tissue mRNA expression and serum levels of Granzyme A and Granzyme B in UC patients and to investigate their association with the proinflammatory cytokines IL-1β and Oncostatin M. A total of 80 Iraqi individuals were …

Turkish Journal of Earth Sciences
The Kaladgi Basin of the Dharwar Craton, southeast India, hosts Proterozoic unconformity-related uranium (U) mineralization controlled by faulted contacts between Archean basement and Proterozoic cover sediments. To understand the ore-forming processes, 25 core samples from the Cave Temple Arenite were analyzed using whole-rock geochemistry and fluid inclusion microthermometry. U concentrations reach up to 0.13% U3O8 in the basal arenite and lower conglomerate, whereas the basement schist records only 0.0017% U. Whole-rock data reveal high SiO2 contents (72–97 wt.%), variable Al2O3 (0.4–12.9 wt.%), and enrichments in U (0.38–6.63 ppm), Th (1.5–13.7 ppm), and trace elements such as Cu, Pb, and Ni …

Baghdad Science Journal
Processing poultry slaughterhouse wastewater as a biogas substrate is a sustainable solution. The current study aimed to optimize methane production from poultry slaughterhouse wastewater at various hydraulic retention times, biochar addition levels, and biochar addition types. Optimization of the anaerobic digestion process was determined through response surface methodology with central composite design. The input variables were hydraulic retention times (10, 20, and 30 days), biochar levels (5, 10, and 15 g/L), and biochar types (chicken litter and rice straw). Meanwhile, the response variable was methane production. The results revealed that the resulting central composite design model was significant (p < 0.05) with an R-squared of 0.94, indicating a high model suitability. The analysis of variance showed that hydraulic retention times, biochar levels, and biochar types significantly affected methane production (p < 0.05). Based on optimization, the highest methane production was achieved at a 30-day hydraulic retention times, a biochar level of 15 g/L, and a biochar type of rice straw, which was 473.00 mL/g volatile solid. These results emphasize the importance of determining the correct hydraulic retention times and biochar addition (level and type) to optimize methane production.

Baghdad Science Journal
This study determined the levels and distribution patterns of Pb, Cd, Co, Cu, Ni, and Zn in indoor (n = 22) and outdoor (n = 22) dust from Basra, Iraq, and evaluated the associated human health risks. The total mean concentration of ∑ 6HMs was 247 mg/kg in the indoor dust and 285 mg/kg in the outdoor dust. Zn was the dominant metal in both environments, with mean concentrations of 155 and 161 mg/kg, contributing 63% and 56% of the total metal burden, respectively. Pb, Cd, Co, and Ni concentrations were significantly higher (p < 0.05) in outdoor dust, indicating the influence of outdoor emission sources. Human exposure assessment showed that the average daily doses (ADD) for children through ingestion, inhalation, and dermal contact were approximately 9.3-fold higher than those for adults across all metals. Zn exposure reached 1.99 × 10-3 and 2.13 × …
Supporting Multilingual Learners Through Culturally Responsive Practices, Betsy Twedell
Supporting Multilingual Learners Through Culturally Responsive Practices, Betsy Twedell
Graduate Teacher Education
This literature review examined how educational leaders can implement culturally responsive practices to support multilingual learners, improve academic achievement, encourage a sense of belonging, and advance equitable educational outcomes. A total of sixteen qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods studies were reviewed, along with two conceptual studies that provided additional guidance. Three recurring themes emerged: culturally and linguistically responsive practices, professional development, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS). The research suggested that multilingual learners were best supported when educators viewed students’ languages, cultures, identities, and lived experiences as academic assets and integrated these resources into instruction. Findings also showed that professional development …
Pre-Nursing Students' Reflections Of The Most Useful Success Strategies: A Qualitative Study, Regina W. Urban, Leslie A. Jennings
Pre-Nursing Students' Reflections Of The Most Useful Success Strategies: A Qualitative Study, Regina W. Urban, Leslie A. Jennings
International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)
Background: Initiatives to address the US nursing shortage include increasing enrollment, standardizing education, and supporting student success (American Association of Colleges of Nursing, 2024; Spector et al., 2022). Despite reports of poor study habits and difficulty adapting to science courses, few studies examine study and time management strategies in pre-nursing students (Felicilda-Reynaldo et al., 2017). Mindfulness-based programs improve mental health outcomes in nursing students (Aloufi et al., 2021); yet research on mindfulness programs with pre-nursing students is lacking. Identifying success strategies pre-nursing students find useful is key to improving academic retention (Shelton, 2012). Therefore, this study aimed to qualitatively explore …

Leaving Home: Archivists Teaching Outside Their Home Departments, Claire Du Laney Dunker, Lori Schwartz
Criss Library Faculty Proceedings & Presentations
Dunker and Schwartz at the University of Nebraska at Omaha were curious about experiences of archivists teaching outside the archives, inspired by teaching a new public history course for the history department. There is little existing scholarship about archivists teaching credit-bearing courses outside the library. Existing literature focuses on pedagogical practices for history faculty teaching courses, archivists teaching “one-shots”, and collaborations between teaching faculty and archivists for class assignments. To fill this gap, we created a survey to gather opinions and preferences about teaching credit-bearing courses as part of, or adjacent to, professional responsibilities in academic libraries and archives.
