The effect of aerodynamics of commercial and non-commercial are analyzed in this study and after analyzing it is founded that many researchers have not attempted much on the comparative study on two different types of commercial and non-commercial vehicle having a same turbulence model. Secondly, there is lack of numerical three dimensional aerodynamic flow analysis in the case of both commercial and non-commercial vehicles. Hence, there is requirement for numerically analyzing two commercial and non-commercial vehicles having the same turbulence model to better understand the aerodynamics of both commercial and non-commercial vehicles.

The paper describes a light-weight monopole planar antenna with a rectangular radiating patch and a slotted ground plane for WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) applications. WiMAX is a wireless broadband communication technology based around the IEEE 802.16 that provides point-to-multipoint wireless networking system and high-speed data across a wide range. The antenna designed for the aforementioned applications shows operation at 2.5 (lower WiMAX) / 3.7, 4.5 (middle WiMAX) / 5.5 (upper WiMAX) GHz with total bandwidth of about 110 MHz / 150 MHz / 160 MHz / 120 MHz. With its appealing characteristics, the planar monopole patch antenna meets …

Earned Schedule Management (ESM) gives an estimate of schedule and milestone achievement dates. Earned Value Management (EVM) assists to follow the project performance by giving the schedule variance, cost variance and their performance index. EVM &ESM helps the project manager to foresee cost and schedule for the real project. The objective of this study is to apply EVM & ESM to the real time residential apartment project which is upcoming in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and then to compare the results of two deterministic forecasting methods EVM and ESM. The EVM and ESM parameters are generated by using the data procured …

The cellular network of 5G works in the centimeter wave (3-30 GHz) and Millimeter-wave (30-300GHz). Here worldwide a vast amount bandwidth remains unused. A new microstrip antenna of dimension 10 10 1.6 mm3 has been designed and simulated using HFSS for Millimeter wave (MMW) applications, in this paper. The proposed antenna shows wide bandwidth, stable radiation patterns, and enhanced reflection coefficient at 24.5 GHz for possible 5G use. It shows impedance bandwidth of 2.05GHz(23-26 GHz) with a maximum gain of 6.32 dBi.

Acute gastroenteritis with persistent vomiting, high degree fever and blood streaking stools often suggests bacterial aetiology in children. Authors report a 13-year-old boy presenting with acute watery diarrhoea with persistent vomiting, fever of 103°F, abdominal cramps and blood streaking stools who failed to show any response to parenteral third-generation cephalosporin for 72 hours. The stool examination revealed numerous cystic and amoeboid forms of Blastocystis hominis. Metronidazole was started and the boy promptly responded within 24 hours. There was no recurrence of symptoms then onwards. The case highlights the crucial stool examination in case of acute diarrhoeal disease for rare aetiology.

Homotherium was a genus of large-bodied scimitar-toothed cats, morphologically distinct from any extant felid species, that went extinct at the end of the Pleistocene [1–4]. They possessed large, saber-form serrated canine teeth, powerful forelimbs, a sloping back, and an enlarged optic bulb, all of which were key characteristics for predation on Pleistocene megafauna [5]. Previous mitochondrial DNA phylogenies suggested that it was a highly divergent sister lineage to all extant cat species [6–8]. However, mitochondrial phylogenies can be misled by hybridization [9], incomplete lineage sorting (ILS), or sex-biased dispersal patterns [10], which might be especially relevant for Homotherium since widespread …

The health and economic impacts of infectious disease pandemics are catastrophic as most recently manifested by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The emerging infections that lead to substantive epidemics or pandemics are typically zoonoses that cross species boundaries at vulnerable points of animal-human interface. The sharing of space between wildlife and humans, and their domesticated animals, has dramatically increased in recent decades and is a key driver of pathogen spillover. Increasing animal-human interface has also occurred in concert with both increasing globalisation and failing health systems, resulting in a trifecta with dire implications for human and animal health. Nevertheless, to date …

The reality of swimming while Black, and the reckoning that needs to take place with Black Americans access to health and wellness resources.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, swimming is the fourth most popular sports activity in the United States and a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity." The CDC site declares that "just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. This can also lead to improved health for people with diabetes and …

In my research and interviews throughout my Practicum, the topic of refugee representation in the media was frequently discussed. The most common narrative around refugee lives constructs them as dehumanised victims. In an article for The Independent, Emily Cousens writes about the portrayal of the so-called “good” and the “bad” refugee -- in other words, the refugees who are deemed deserving of reception, and those who are not. Cousens reflects upon how the photo of a dead refugee child on the shore of Turkey sparked a wave of global interest in the issues that refugees were facing. She highlights …

Uncommon Hand Injury To The Batsman In Gully Cricket': Report Of Two Cases, Sujayendra Davanagere Murali, Sandesh Madi, Anika Sait

Volar plate injuries are typically caused by hyperextension of the proximal interphalangeal joint. These injuries are usually seen in sports where the ball comes in direct contact with the hands. Forceful dorsiflexion of the finger caused by the speeding ball leads to volar plate avulsion. In cricket, such finger injuries predominantly occur in fielders trying to catch or stop the speeding ball with bare hands. We report two unusual cases of volar plate avulsion injury occurring in batsmen that occurred during gully cricket' (street-cricket). We propose the possibility of a novel contrecoup-type mechanism causing this type of injury in the …

The change in the value of underlying assets affects these hedged funds and, at the same time, restricts investors from higher return possible in unhedged funds. This study aims to examine the performance of most actively traded shares in Exchange Traded Fund and any influence, along with tracking the information from the index. This study also analyzes the currency fluctuation and its impact on returns and volatility of ETF and index. The equity ETF, which tracks NASDAQ (NDX 100), is chosen for the study, and the data …
