Annual Maximum Snow Loads For Weather Stations Outside Of The Conterminous United States, Nicholas Brimhall, Brennan L. Bean, Marc Maguire, Bikram Bhusal, Maha Moussa

Historical records of snow observations are critical for civil engineering, climate modeling, and risk assessment. While a robust dataset of annual maximum snow loads has been developed for the conterminous United States, a similar dataset does not exist for areas of interest in areas outside of the conterminous United States (OCONUS). This dataset contains over 280,000 annual maximum SWE values across over 7,400 OCONUS stations, both from the Global Historical Climatology-Daily (GHCND) network provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and from country-specific networks of weather stations from international meteorological agencies. This dataset will be valuable for civil …

Simulated Solar Capacity Including Snow Cover in the Eastern U.S.
Using 2019 weather data, we ran PySAM power production simulations for utility-scale PV sites in the U.S. Eastern Interconnection queue. Site IDs, capacities, and locations (counties) were extracted from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Queued Up: 2024 Edition dataset. No panel mount information was provided, so all sites were assumed to be 30-degree, fixed tilt systems. Sites’ latitudes and longitudes were assumed to be the centers of the installation counties. See queued_site_metadata.csv file for individual site metadata.

Fieldnotes of a Black Woman Scholar: Research, Culture, and Wellness
In this reflective Fieldnotes episode, Dr. Mildred Boveda and Dr. Venus Evans-Winters pause to share how they’ve been showing up for themselves this summer. From the beaches to the quiet corners of our homes, we discuss the intentional self-care rituals that grounded us, restored us, and helped us reconnect with our purpose as educators, scholars, and Black women navigating layered commitments. We also offer a brief update on what’s ahead for the podcast and how our creative and scholarly energies are aligning for the upcoming season. Whether you're holding space for rest, reinventing your wellness routine, or simply curious about …

Research Data
This dataset provides access to twelve .zip archives containing pre-processed tiles from the S3CARD (Sentinel-3 Coastal Analysis Ready Data) framework. Each archive corresponds to a 2.5° × 2.5° coastal grid that includes an AERONET-OC (Aerosol Robotic Network – Ocean Color) station used for validation in Caballero et al. (2025). The data include atmospherically corrected, glint- and adjacency-corrected surface reflectance images derived from Sentinel-3 OLCI imagery.
Each tile includes:
- 21-band surface reflectance images in GeoTIFF format (valid water pixels only)
- Metadata files with acquisition geometry and processing details
These datasets support reproducibility and enable users to evaluate the S3CARD …

This dataset includes six variables that explain physical energy insecurity in residential buildings in the Dallas County. These variables include the extent of access to central air conditioning systems (AC), central heating, and the lack of these systems, structure value (improvement), age of the structure, and type of residential structure (multi-family housing or single dwelling unit).

Background/Objectives: Dietary modulation of the gut microbiome is a promising strategy for mitigating gastrointestinal diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colitis-associated colorectal cancer (CAC). Cocoa powder is rich in polyphenols, including (-)-epicatechin and (+)-catechin, which have been associated with beneficial effects on gut health and microbiome modulation. Importantly, changes in the bacterial populations associated with the gut mucosal layer may have different health impacts compared to changes in cecal or fecal microbiomes. This study investigated the effects of cocoa polyphenol supplementation on microbiome composition across the cecal, fecal, and mucosal compartments in a mouse model of colitis. Methods: …

Datasets
The authors compiled a hydrologic model for the Edmore at Edmore and Edmore at Webster Coulee Basin using Cold Region Hydrologic Platform. The datasets include observed and simulated streamflow, observed climatic data, land use maps and hydrological representative unit maps (HRU) maps. This study detected a mechanism of hydrologic change to wetting using a cold region hydrologic model during 1991-2024 period.
