Music Summer Fellows
A collection of four songs, written, recorded, and mixed by me as part of an EP. Created under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Davis, and featuring fellow student Nico Yanzaguano on drums. Exploring the themes of power dynamics and identity, these songs display various stylistic elements highly inspired by grunge bands like Nirvana, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden. These songs are the result of two months of creation, exploring what it was like to write and produce original music.

Tow Tank Testing Of A 1:70 Froude Scaled Floating Offshore Wind Turbine, Adam Roberts, Saeid Kazemi, Frédéric Le Pivert, Tom Tosdevin, Adan Lopez-Santander, Matthew Craven

These test cases cover the towing behaviour of a 1:70 scale model of the IEA 15MW reference wind turbine on the UMaine VolturnUS-S semi-submersible platform. They consist of towing at different speeds and in different configurations in calm waters, regular and irregular wave conditions, and some focused waves. No wind was applied to the turbine during towing and the model does not have an accurate rotor, meaning all cases only consider the hydrodynamic loading with a small amount of air resistance on the tower and platform due to the tow speed. A large convection cloud chamber has been proposed for exploring aerosol–cloud–drizzle interactions under well-controlled turbulent conditions. Recent theoretical and numerical studies suggest that a convection cloud chamber with two heated and two cooled sidewalls can significantly enhance the liquid water content and thus benefit drizzle initiation. However, a chamber with such a sidewall configuration develops stable stratification and extremely weak turbulence therein. In this study, we conduct large-eddy simulations of a tall convection chamber with five different sidewall configurations consisting of alternating warm and cold patches.
