The traditional model of education in the tertiary sector positions the lecturer, tutor, and student in a hierarchical relationship to each other which results in a ‘top down’ flow of information and learning. The assumption underpinning this model is that the lecturer is the only person equipped to provide knowledge which is imparted to the students via the facilitation of the tutor. It ignores the possibility of collaborative learning based on the multiple knowledges of all persons in the equation, and therefore misses a unique opportunity for mutual learning to occur. The 2007 international economic crisis may have begun in capitalism’s heartland with credit default swops and sub-prime mortages, nevertheless some of its most dramatic manifestations have been at the edge. In Europe, the peripheral economies of Iceland, Greece and Ireland have manifested crises that have shaken Europe to the core, and generated crisis discourse that may well prove central. Certainly previous talk of crisis seem to have been key to political change processes in the past (Hay, 1996; Mårtenson and Lindhoff, 1998).While there has been some initial analysis of the discursive response to the economic crisis (Hartz, 2010; O’Rourke, 2010) …

Teaching within an anti-racism framework presents many obstacles to even the most skilled educator. Overcoming resistance from students and helping them to deal with the emotional consequences associated with such content as well as the journey of understanding (for both student and educator) can be difficult. Often it is the anxiety associated with managing these responses and reactions from students as well as their own lack of knowledge and skill that inhibits educators from attempting to teach such content. The digital era has brought about enormous changes to the journal publishing process. Publishers are now offering journals as digital copies packaged as a database. This move has also affected the journal subscription process and publishers are now offering journals as database packages. Publishers now have to look at various journal subscription models in order to offer the so-called “best price” to their clients. Various factors are taken into account when deciding on the pricing of individual journals or packaged journals. One important factor in this instance is the full-time equivalent or FTE. Selain daripada itu, maklumbalas juga diperolehi melalui pelbagai kajian kepuasan pelanggan yang dijalankan sepanjang tahun.
