Tracking Social Media Platform Shifts In Academic Libraries, 2019-2025 [Dataset], Holly M. Surbaugh

The author created this supplementary data file during a research study completed in January 2025. For a sample of 233 university libraries located in the United States, the author examined current and archived versions of the organizations’ websites and noted changes in links to library-specific accounts on popular social media platforms. The goal of this research was to explore how academic libraries have responded to a period of significant change and disruption in the social media landscape. Salmon are important fish taxa for humans and animals in hemiboreal and subarctic ecosystems. Trace elements and their marine food web bioaccumulation raises biomagnification and potential human health risk concerns. Sixteen trace element concentrations and their health risk assessments were determined in seven different tissues of two Southeast Alaska salmon species (chum, Oncorhynchus keta and pink, Oncorhynchus gorbuscha). Chum tissues had overall higher trace element concentrations compared to pink, which may be attributed to a difference of diets, generally longer-lived and spending more time in the open ocean. All kidney and liver samples exceeded the tolerable daily intake for …

This dataset was created as part of a larger study to recover the Belen colonial Catholic mission Church and the Plaza Vieja emergence history. By using extractions in Oswald Gilbert Baca’s Burial Records from the Roman Catholic Parish of Nuestra Señora de Belen, Belen, New Mexico, 1793 – 1900 as an initial source and comparing with the original register pages (available online at familysearch.org), I have begun to verify, clarify, correct and expand Baca’s extractions.

Context. Squirrel species in Alaska generally lack thorough conservation management plans, and they are actively hunted with no bag limits, closed seasons, or any other restrictions. This indicates a laissez-faire approach to Alaskan squirrel conservation management. Aims. In an attempt to improve this current situation, we employ an ensemble of machine-learning algorithms as proposed improvement add-ons to the traditional components of conservation management plans toward a more state-of-the-art approach to squirrel conservation. Methods. Hydrothermal explosions are a significant geological hazard in some active volcanic systems; however, the timing and triggering mechanisms of these explosions are poorly constrained. This study applies luminescence dating techniques to hydrothermal explosion deposits in the Yellowstone Plateau volcanic field to constrain explosion chronologies and evaluate potential triggering mechanisms. We tested four luminescence dating techniques: K-feldspar post-infrared infrared stimulated luminescence (pIRIR225), quartz blue light optically stimulated luminescence (BLOSL), quartz blue thermoluminescence (BTL), and quartz red thermoluminescence (RTL). The pIRIR225 and RTL protocols produce consistent age estimates that agree with independent radiocarbon ages and with the timing of the Pinedale deglaciation. …

A Microsoft Excel macro-enabled workbook that produces presentation cards for the National FFA Organization's Parliamentary Procedure and Conduct of Chapter Meetings Leadership Development Events.

Each set of cards also creates a judges help sheet for the motions with proper verbiage and the Standard Descriptive Characteristics as listed in Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised (12th edition).

The workbook uses randomization to create set cards from a list of over 300 possible main motions from a variety of internet sources. The 2024 list of eligible motions for both events was used for the permissible motions.

Investors should consider Sharpe ratios and correlations together when adding a new fund to their existing portfolio. The ex-ante information ratio (also known as the appraisal ratio) is effective in informing this decision. However, a maximum Sharpe ratio calculation is equally effective in this decision while providing the additional benefit of producing optimal portfolio weights for the combined portfolio. In this paper, we demonstrate how to compute these measures to help facilitate portfolio construction.

Premise: Hydrological regime influences wetland plant species distribution and performance.Global warming and extreme weather events are magnifying flooding patterns, and understanding how invasive taxa respond across life stages (establishment vs. established phase) is important for predicting and managing their colonization and spread. Our objective was to measure flood trait responses at contrasting life stages in closely related congeners (Ludwigia peploides, diploid; L. hexapetala, decaploid; Onagraceae) differing in their invasiveness in the field.
