Through the story of a classroom rock investigation and other everyday examples, it highlights how children naturally ask questions, test ideas, solve problems, and build understanding through play. Rather than seeing play as a break from learning, educators can learn to recognize the inquiry already taking place in moments such as digging in dirt, collecting natural materials, building structures, or investigating puddles after rain. The Effects Of Transportation Distribution On Dry Ice Insulated Containers' Thermal Performance, Edmund Tang

This study builds upon methodologies established in a 2024 investigation of the combined effects of physical distribution stresses and thermal environments on cold chain packaging performance. Prior results showed that moisture-resistant gel packs generally maintained a vaccine storage range of +2°C to +8°C. However, when exposed to extreme combined stresses, thermal performance degradation of up to 13.5% was observed. The present work applies a similar experimental framework to transportation systems that rely on dry ice as the primary cooling medium, addressing the distinct challenges associated with ultra-cold distribution.

The male effect (buck effect) is a sustainable, hormone-free biostimulation strategy in caprine reproduction, in which introducing sexually active bucks to seasonally anestrous does increases luteinizing hormone (LH) pulse frequency, thereby stimulating folliculogenesis and ovulation. This review provides a comprehensive synthesis of the sensory, neuroendocrine, breed-related, and management factors governing male biostimulation in goats (Capra hircus). Olfactory signals, including the identified primer pheromone 4-ethyloctanal, are perceived through the main and accessory olfactory systems and act together with visual, auditory, and tactile cues. This study aims to investigate the role of social media influencers in shaping food awareness and dietary behavior among the Emirati audience, drawing on media dependence theory and employing a public survey methodology through the administration of a questionnaire to a purposive sample of Emirati citizens in Al Ain City who follow influencers to obtain information on healthy nutrition. The findings revealed that more than (79.3%) of the sample members rely on social media influencers to obtain information on healthy nutrition at a moderate-to-high degree, with "the ease of rapid access to food-related information" emerging as the leading reason for …

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between NOX-1-mediated oxidative stress and Raftlin-related lipid raft signalling in postmenopausal osteoporosis and evaluate their potential as discriminatory biomarkers. Methods: This cross-sectional case-control study was conducted between December 2025 and March 2026 at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, Kahramanmaraş, Turkey. Participants (postmenopausal women) were equally divided into three groups: women with osteoporosis, postmenopausal women without osteoporosis, and age-matched healthy controls with normal bone mineral density. Background: Modern juvenile justice research increasingly identifies family violence as a primary driver of youth legal and social transgressions. To address this, the Strickland Youth Detention Center, in partnership with the USA Health Center for Healthy Communities, launched the Building Safer Communities Collaborative (BSCC)in Mobile, Alabama, in September 2025. This pilot program employs a public health, trauma-informed prevention model to intervene before youth face serious tenure within the justice system.

Project Inspire is USA Health’s semester-long injury prevention program that offers education, exposure and mentorship to justice-involved youth. Since 2017, this collaboration between USA Health and James T. Strickland Youth Center has engaged justice-involved teens with the five-pillar curriculum, which includes: traumainformed care training and confidence building, educational and professional development, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and intensive mentorship. The goal is to reduce the rates of violence by equipping and empowering youth to overcome obstacles and barriers they may face in order to build a brighter future. There are currently three sites with more opening across several states.

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) has been demonstrated to be an effective non-pharmacological adjunct for postoperative pain management in thoracic surgeries. However, few studies have examined its benefits in managing post-mastectomy pain. This study found that TENS provided positive effects on postoperative pain control, which were associated with improved physical and psychological outcomes. Overall, TENS appears to be a safe and effective modality for managing acute postmastectomy pain.

Background: Avascular necrosis (AVN) is a rare disease that can be caused by cancer treatment. AVN can affect multiple joints, which can disrupt one’s ability to perform daily activities. Rehabilitation services, including occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy, are used to improve a patient’s quality of life through skilled conservative interventions that improve daily task engagement. Occupational therapists are trained to address functional deficits experienced by pediatric patients with cancer and may play a key role in treating patients who have AVN. Aerobic exercise has been well documented to treat non-cancer-related CVD; however, research regarding optimal dosing within the cancer population is needed. This case report discusses the examination, evaluation, and treatment of a patient with breast cancer receiving potentially cardiotoxic chemotherapy.

Introduction: The purpose of this chart review was to examine differences in fatigue and quality of life following cancer treatment based on gender, race, age, cancer type, and referral for rehabilitation services.

Methods: Ninety-one patient charts were reviewed for demographic variables, cancer type, rehabilitation referral, and baseline scores on the Brief Fatigue Inventory (BFI) and Reintegration to Normal Life Index (RNLI). Group differences were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test, and correlations between fatigue and quality of life were assessed using Pearson’s correlation (p < 0.05).

Purpose: Lymphedema management requires routine use of compression garments to stabilize limb volume and diminish infection risk. The 2024 Lymphedema Treatment Act (LTA) established Medicare coverage for these essential medical supplies. However, this legislation introduced structural challenges to clinical workflows for lymphedema therapists, who traditionally perform measuring, ordering, and fitting. This study evaluated contemporary practices in compression garment fitting, procurement, compensation patterns, and policy-driven impacts on therapist workload and stress.

Puerto Ricans experience among the highest asthma morbidity in the United States, and ambient fungal spores are abundant tropical aeroallergens. This ecological time-series study asked whether associations between ambient fungal spores and recorded asthma healthcare utilization in the San Juan Metropolitan Area, Puerto Rico (2018–2021), were stable across two contextual eras (post-Hurricane María recovery, 2018–2019; the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020–2021) and across age groups. Daily Burkard spore counts were linked to 168,578 asthma encounters. Introduction: Healthcare workers experience emotional distress following poor patient outcomes, which can negatively impact wellbeing and retention. Peer support programs are an evidence-based approach to mitigating distress through provision of confidential counseling by a trained peer. However, data on impact of participation on peer supporters is limited. We aimed to evaluate and describe the peer supporters’ experience at our tertiary children’s hospital.

Haemonchus contortus is a highly pathogenic gastrointestinal nematode of small ruminants, yet molecular information on sheep-derived isolates in Thailand remains limited. This study aimed to characterize H. contortus recovered from sheep in Nakhon Pathom Province using integrated morphological and molecular approaches. Adult nematodes collected post-mortem from the abomasum were examined morphologically, and the internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2) region of ribosomal DNA was amplified and sequenced. Morphological examination identified males with characteristic copulatory bursae and females exhibiting linguiform, knobbed, and simple vulvar morphotypes. Although various instruments for measuring sincerity have been developed, limitations remain regarding comprehensive construct validity, sample diversity, and the application of Rasch analysis in psychometric evaluation among student populations in Indonesia. Sincerity is a multidimensional spiritual value that contributes to personal integrity, psychological well-being, and positive social relationships. This study aims to develop a sincerity instrument with adequate psychometric characteristics using the Rasch Analysis approach. The study employed an instrument development method involving 759 high school and vocational high school students in Yogyakarta, selected through stratified random sampling.
