Background: The aim of the present study was to assess physiological-biochemical reactions to incremental exercise loads and the levels and development of endurance skills in young male and female team game players. Material/Methods: The study sample comprised 370 soccer, handball, basketball and volleyball players (186 girls and 184 boys) from the Lower Silesian Regional Teams in Poland, aged 14.20 ±1.37 years (boys) and 13.90 ±1.15 years (girls). Background: The aim of the study was to determine the specificity of somatic build among girls practicing artistic gymnastics at the basic stage of training. Material/Methods: The study involved 12 8.9-year-old girls practicing artistic gymnastics at BKSG "Zawisza". The girls had 3.4 years of professional training experience and were affected by a six-week training (3-4 hours a day). They had the level of youth class. Anthropometric measurements of selected somatic characteristics have been taken. The results were subject to anthropology-specific classifications and statistical analysis. Background: The purpose of the study was to develop a model mapping the efficiency of actions of futsal goalkeepers based on observation of their game in eight matches of the cup finals the World and European Championships in 2012. Material/Methods: Data about the game were recorded on originally developed observation sheets. Purpose: The purpose of this exploratory phenomenological study was to identify and describe the strategies used by charter school executive directors to develop and maintain personal resiliency based on Everly, Strouse, and McCormack’s (2015) five factors of personal resilience (active optimism, decisive action, moral compass, relentless tenacity, and interpersonal support).

Methodology: This exploratory phenomenological study identified and described the lived experiences of exemplary charter school executive directors in San Diego, Riverside, and Orange counties. Background: This study aims at determining opinion of participants of strengthening and relaxation classes on health determinants and their influence on adoption of particular forms of physical activity. Material/Methods: Participants of the study were 113 women aged 40 to 55, among whom 70 participated in such strengthening and relaxation courses as yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi and 43 women were inactive (control group). Background: Little research providing reliable information on the popularity of sauna among university students has been found in Polish and foreign literature. The aim of the study was to assess the influence of socioeconomic and psychological factors on the popularity of sauna among female university students. Background: This study aimed to examine the associations between individual, social and environmental characteristics and out-of-school television viewing, computer use, and overall time spent in sedentary behaviors. Material/Methods: A sample of 11-year-old children (N = 155) in Finland wore an accelerometer (Actigraph GT3X) for seven days. Before the accelerometer-use, questionnaire assessments of television viewing, computer use, reported PA, bedtimes, wake-up times, perceived parental PA and PA encouragement and measurements of weight and height were obtained. Background: Limited previous research has contrasted physical activity (PA) patterns in preschool children across different hourly patterns or segments of day, or adopted similar methodologies to compare the PA behaviors of children from different countries. The purpose of this study was to examine how the PA levels and patterns differed between 3- year-olds within and between childcare and homecare days in Finland and Australia. Background: The aim of this study was to develop a research tool used to assess the efficiency a goalkeeper’s actions in a game of futsal. Material/Methods: Author’s own proposal of an observation sheet was created and subject to a validation procedure. To assess intra-rater reliability and inter-rater reliability, the ICC test was used. Results: There was a strong compatibility of ratings of the intra-rater reliability – 1.00 (95% Cl 1.00-1.00) and the inter-rater reliability – 0.99 (95% CI 0.99-1.00), which proves the reliability of the proposed research tool. Background: The purpose of the research was to assess the level of overall motor coordination in children practising sport dance – namely, acrobatic rock’n’roll – against the background of their peers who did not dance. Background: The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between the number of steps a day and biological (body fat, lean body mass, BMI and estimated VO2 max) and psychological (self-efficacy, enjoyment of PA and self-perception of body image) factors in 16-18-year-old girls. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of concurrent training on the fat profile, blood testosterone and cortisol response in young male wrestlers. Background: The aim of this research was to determine relationships between religious commitment and health locus of control (HLC) for the group of students of the University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland, including gender and study faculty differences. Background: The purpose of the study was to present components of fitness and body composition and to determine the correlation between parameters of biological development in a group of schoolchildren. Material/Methods: Analysis of somatic features of 12-year-old children, of both sexes, from the Pomeranian province in Poland (99 boys and 96 girls) included basic parameters of the respiratory system, body fat, height and body weight. Functional indicators, i.e. components of motor abilities, have been tested.
