NSU Fact Book
This third edition of the University's Fact Book represents the first University-wide data and information resource to encompass all academic units and support components of the newly formed Nova Southeastern University. While the second edition, published in March 1994, presented some preliminary data regarding the Health Professions Division, integration of the separate data bases maintained by the former Nova University and Southeastern University of the Health Sciences was still in the planning and early implementation stages. Since then, the University has made significant headway in achieving an operational merger of central service and support units, facilitating data compilation and analysis …

The Hybrid Master's Degree: Combining Research With Practice, David C. Coulson., Travis Linn
Journal of the Association for Communication Administration
The article discusses the development of a hybrid master degree program by the Donald W. Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada in Reno. Since the journalism faculty of the school is too small to offer a full-service master's degree, the school developed a hybrid program that integrates systematic research with practice-based education. The program is designed to equip students with knowledge in academic research in preparation to doctoral studies. The program also emphasizes the study of mass media to prepare students for professional careers in broadcast journalism.

The Economics Of Free Parking: Transportation Policy At The University Of Nevada, Las Vegas, Richard A. Nielsen
UNLV Theses, Dissertations, Professional Papers, and Capstones
This paper culminates a natural progression of studies done over the past two years examining parking and transportation policy at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The purpose of these studies has been to evaluate the adequacy of these policies and to estimate the potential impact a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program could produce on parking and traffic conditions and air quality improvement. Included in the report are results from a commuter survey conducted in April 1993, a simple rollback model developed to produce an estimation of vehicle miles traveled (VMT) at the University and any subsequent reduction of VMT …
