Is The Peak-Affect Important In Fast Processing Of Visual Images In Printed Ads? : A Comparative Study On The Affect Integration Theories, Kyunghee Bu, Luri Lee

This study investigates how affects elicited by visual images in print ads are integrated to form a liking for the ads. Assuming a sequential rather than simultaneous processing of still-cut images, we adopt the ‘think-aloud’ method to capture consumers’ spontaneous responses to visual images. We hypothesize that not only would consumers show mixed affects toward a still-cut visual image but that they would also integrate their serial affects heuristically rather than simply averaging the affects as suggested by the compensatory hypothesis. The Department of Theatre and Dance at East Tennessee State University will open its 2022-23 season with “Androcles and the Lion,” a show for the entire family, Oct. 20-23.

Performances will be presented in the Bert C. Bach Theatre at the Martin Center for the Arts Thursday and Friday, Oct. 20-21, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22-23, at 2 p.m. The Oct. 22 matinee will be a sensory-friendly performance.

In order to meet increasing consumer demands and protect their reputations, brands must implement a combination of communication and service strategies on social media today. Corporate apologies are an effective crisis communication strategy to reduce online interactions that damage brand reputations. While the value of social media corporate apologies has been established in the literature, few studies have broken down the elements of apologies used in service interactions on social media platforms.

This study manipulated previously untested linguistic components of corporate apologies on Twitter to test their effects on perceived apology sincerity, forgiveness, purchase intentions, and brand advocacy. Results showed …

The global COVID-19 pandemic has presented notable challenges in teachers’ career paths. In the present study, Super’s life-span, life-space theory was applied to examine the interplay between K-12 teachers’ propensity to search for meaning in life and meaningfulness attributed to their work role (i.e., meaningful work) in predicting career-relevant outcomes in the face of challenging circumstances over the course of a semester. A model was proposed in which propensity to search for meaning in life led to better work and career outcomes, an effect moderated by meaningful work. My PhD thesis contains three experiments: two of them studying prosocial and divisive behavior, guided by Tirole’s (2021) models, and the third studying discriminatory behavior. The first study investigates how people's prosociality changes as public spheres expand. Utilizing the advancement of information technologies, states have begun to introduce social scores to rate and publicize some behaviors in social interactions. With social scores, social interactions are thus divided into a public sphere, which is publicly observable, and a private sphere, which is not. The current analysis paper discusses the impact of brands such as Disney, Netflix, Amazon, and others on the growing streaming service space. In particular, comparisons and differences are identified between various streaming brands, addressing how consumers and the brands are influenced by the relevant competition and rivalries. Additionally, the passage also discusses how the streaming competition among content providers may impact the future of consumer entertainment. This study aims to conduct a nethnographic analysis of the dining experiences of Russian tourists who prefer Antalya as their destination, depending on their restaurant choices. The findings regarding the dining experiences within the scope of the study were obtained from restaurant reviews for 2019 on the TripAdvisor website. The research findings were obtained from 131 reviews written for ten restaurants operating in Antalya city centre, Side, Kemer and Alanya districts. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of the language used in external communications, including brand campaigns already launched targeting different ethnic groups, with a particular emphasis on the Hispanic, Latino and Latinx communities. The final objective is to provide recommendations on the appropriate use of ethnonyms in their marketing strategies while authentically approaching their target market to generate brand affinity and long-standing trust.
