Abstract: To address the problem of high GPU memory requirements in large-scale spiking neural network simulation, a dynamic loading simulation method for large-scale spiking neural networks is proposed. This method uses data movement at the sub-network granularity and utilizes the host memory as a larger memory pool to reduce the limitation of GPU memory on the model simulation scale, enabling large-scale spiking neural network simulation on a single GPU computer. This study employs a linear and integer programming approach to optimize HIV resource allocation in Ohio, aiming to minimize new infections and enhance the impact of limited resources. With the advances in HIV prevention and treatment, Ohio faces challenges in addressing disparities in access to healthcare, particularly among high-risk populations. The proposed model integrates data on infection rates, transmission patterns, demographic factors, and cost-effectiveness to provide a decision-support framework for policymakers. Using epidemiological data and equity constraints, the model prioritizes high-risk regions and populations while ensuring fair resource distribution. Computer simulation is increasingly being used by emergency planners as a tool to improve disaster response given that it can model real-world scenarios, such as earthquakes. Although there has been an increase in simulation research focused on disaster response, much of this literature is from disparate fields and across disaster scenarios. To bridge this gap, this paper surveys simulation-based models for post-earthquake response from the year 2000 onward. Advantages of simulation over closed-form statistical models are discussed. 3D-printing technology was applied to fabricate novel solar thermal collection tubes that have internal heat transfer enhancement fins and external surfaces with high solar absorptivity and low emissivity due to the ability to use different materials in one tube. Helical fins were selected to introduce circumferential flow and thus minimize the circumferential temperature difference of the tube that receives sunlight on one side. The Last-Mile Problem refers to the provision of travel service for passengers from the nearest public transportation node to the final destination. The Last-Mile Transportation System (LMTS), which has recently emerged, provides on-demand last-mile transportation service for passengers. We consider an LMTS that consists of two types of passengers, regular-type passengers and special-type passengers (e.g., seniors, disabled people). The valuation of the last-mile service for special-type passengers is statistically higher than the one for regular-type passengers. Undergraduate computer science programs worldwide struggle to attract and retain underrepresented students for many reasons. Culture, stereotype threats, uneven gender and racial representations, lack of role models, and uncertain career prospects for minority groups are among the many reasons behind this situation. Many computer science programs are trying to change course through strategies to foster equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), aimed at improving outreach, recruitment, admissions, and retention of underrepresented students. EDI approaches may also include modifications to the undergraduate computer science curriculum. Abstract: To address the issues of sensitivity to initial values and weak convergence of sequential convex programming(SCP) based time-optimal trajectory planning for UAVs, a SCP method using safety flight corridor, denoted as SFC-SCP(safe flight corridor-sequential convex programming) is proposed. According to the obstacle avoidance path obtained from the front-end path planning, a safe flight corridor is constructed by forming a convex polygon safe flight area without obstacles for each trajectory point. Abstract: In stage performances, the increasing number of mechanical props poses significant challenges to their control and design. Each creative modification requires a complete rehearsal, resulting in low efficiency and sensitivity to creative changes. To address these issues, a model for the collective performance behavior of mechanical props is proposed. It utilizes centroid growth and 3D linear interpolation to generate spatial states and optimizes them in the temporal dimension using gradient descent.
