This paper discusses event sponsorships in the 21st century and then applies this understanding to the practice of marketing events to potential sponsors. A sponsor contributes money, porducts or services in exchange for the opportunity to boost its image, products or serves in connection with an event, individual, team or venue. Most companies' motivations behind sponsoring events are to 1) increase brand awareness and 2) strengthen or change brand image. However they often don't understand the best ways to achieve these objectives. We compare the past and present strategies and discuss the best way to utilize an event sponsorship. We …

• To advance educational and research goals at the ranch UNLV will fund the purchase and installation of a weather station at the ranch, and preliminary research using this equipment. PI Dr. Suresh Sardineni, Mechanical Engineering, will assess the renewable energy resources at the ranch and find methods to integrate them into existing and proposed new buildings at the site. The planned facilities will monitor beam and global solar radiation, wind speed and direction, temperature, and realative humidity. There is increased attention to examining cross-cultural mentoring due to increased internationalization of the firm and the rise of the Multinational Corporation (MNC). New contexts for mentoring relationships will require new theoretical lenses and a variety of research designs in the coming years. We provide an overview of the literature that touches on various aspects of Cross Cultural Mentoring Research (CCMR) and develop a framework to categorize emergent streams of research. These streams are the diversity/diversified mentoring perspective, the cross-cultural mentoring perspective, and the expatriate mentoring perspective.
