Retention Of Qualified Cybersecurity Professionals: A Qualitative Study, Andrew Ishmael, Leila Halawi

The current endeavors to retain cybersecurity professionals are not enough to sustain the needs of the U.S. workforce. The researchers aim to explore retention strategies for qualified cybersecurity professionals supporting U.S. government contracts at a leading global security company. The researchers interviewed a sample of qualified cybersecurity professionals supporting U.S. government contracts to get essential information on retention in the cybersecurity profession. The researchers proposed four distinct pillars to make up the strategic framework for retaining qualified cybersecurity professionals.

Introduction: This article presents Part 2 of the biannual JWellness Review of literature from 2021 (July – December). We emphasize new science and resilience initiatives published outside of JWellness that seek understanding of burnout and thriving among healthcare professionals (HCPs).

Methods: For the interval of July 1 to December 30, 2021, PubMed was queried for empirical and observational research studies, review articles, guideline summaries, letters, and editorials. Of 93 results, we reviewed methods and salient points to arrive at a final list of 48 articles for inclusion.

There is much the MENA/Gulf region can teach regarding the ever-narrowing hegemonic perspectives in the literature - from selfhood, agency, empowerment, women, collectivism, intersectionality to consumption and business practice.

This paper focuses, briefly, on several very large areas of scholarship to consider the issues raised and the opportunities uncovered, as they pertain to the region. The article introduces some important particularities of the region, an overview of some relevant areas of potential future study and outlines how we, as academics, can contribute to a positive future for the Arabian Gulf/ME/NA overall.

Previous research has shown that the practice of servant leadership improves team performance in organizations; however, the specific reasons for this positive influence are still being investigated. This paper puts forth a conceptual model that considers the mediating effect of team potency and the moderating influences of leader communication frequency and clarity of team goals on the servant leadership-team performance relationship. Servant Leadership: Theory & Practice

The focus of this study was to test for relationships between servant leadership, perceived organizational support, and work-family conflict on employee perception of well-being. Data collection from 132 males and 103 females occurred through Qualtrics data collection service. Servant leadership and work-family conflict showed low to medium positive correlation. Multiple hierarchical regression of the three independent variables and control variables of age and tenure with supervisor showed significance for gender, thus separate multiple hierarchical regressions were used to analyze females and males separately. A 2015 survey by Webber Shandwick of over 1700 executives worldwide has shown that CEO reputation is a significant driver of company reputation and value.
