This portfolio captures the product of a year-long reflexive process on the teaching of a course on administrative theory in educational organizations (EDAD 830) to first year MA students. This class is offered Online and is delivered asynchronously, to students who are largely full-time professionals. Section one focuses on the use of backward design strategy for designing this course, while also highlighting the tensions and dilemmas for designing the course, particularly around theory and context, as well as the need to teach students how to engage in class. In a recent announcement, 12 scholarships totaling $31,000 were awarded, thanks to donor generosity. The Foundation's upcoming Sparkling Smiles Celebration will provide an opportunity to meet scholarship recipients and acknowledge donors. The primary focus in June will be the Mission of Mercy event in Flint, aiming to offer essential dental care to up to 2,000 individuals. Environmental sustainability is a strategic and ethical imperative for organizations, and numerous studies have investigated associations between leadership and employee pro-environmental or “green” behavior. However, these studies have typically focused on leadership styles that conflate leader behavior with its assumed antecedents or consequences. Moreover, the literature on relations between leadership and environmental sustainability constructs is fragmented and in need of systematic integration to effectively guide future research and practice. This meta-analysis aimed to confirm and clarify the relationships between attachment style and various workplace correlates, including job performance, burnout, personality, and job satisfaction (K = 109 independent samples, N = 32,278 participants). Results provided the strongest support for the relationships between attachment style and the Big Five personality traits, burnout, and job performance. Anxious attachment was also related to a host of other correlates, including job stress, turnover intentions, job satisfaction, and work engagement. Additionally, dominance analysis was used and found that attachment style had incremental validity beyond the Big Five in the prediction of job performance, job satisfaction, …

Federal law expanded civil rights and equal opportunity to all employees. Major U.S. employers have embraced the expansion by using affirmative action plans and diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. Concerns raised by a more conservative Supreme Court and its reversal of affirmative action in higher education, the recent enactment of regressive state laws aimed to diminish the rights of the LGBTQ+ community and invalidate affirmative action and DEI efforts should not be allowed to discourage the progress made. Employers can and should stay the course of expanded civil rights and equal opportunity in the workplace for all firm employees.

This article focuses on a subset of refugees who engage in entrepreneurship shortly after relocating to a new host community; it explores identity-related antecedents and integration consequences of different entrepreneurship strategies in the new location. It draws from acculturation psychology and founder identity theory to argue that, post-arrival, new refugees consider (a) how to prioritize the identity associated with their former life and (b) the degree of connection they desire in the host community. For some, these preferences drive heterogeneous entrepreneurial behaviors associated with different acculturation outcomes—including marginalization, separation, integration, and assimilation. In this research, we use panel data regression analysis to investigate the impact of expansionary monetary and fiscal policies on firm performance in pre (2017 to 2019), during (2020 to 2021), and post COVID-19 (2022 to 2023) periods. We combine quarterly data sourced from the Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS)-Compustat and the St Louis Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) databases. After combining all data, our final sample consists of 3,226 publicly listed firms in the United States. This paper analyzes the changeable impact of economic policy uncertainty and mortgage rates on the supply of new homes for sale in the United States. The homes supply is proxied by the ratio of new homes for sale to new houses sold. The analysis utilizes monthly data from January 1985 to November 2023. The relationship is assessed using least square regression with second order autoregressive correction as well as Bai-Perron multiple breakpoint regression for structural breaks and Markov switching tests for state-dependency. The study aims to investigate the transmission of Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) shocks on unemployment rates across different ethnic groups in the United States. The research employs econometric analysis such as regression modeling to determine the relationship between EPU and unemployment rates among African American, Hispanic or Latino American, and White American communities. The study estimates coefficient estimates for the lagged change in EPU and its impact on respective unemployment rates for each ethnic group. Aviation is a driving force of economic and social progress but has negative externalities such as carbon emissions and noise. This paper investigates passenger perceptions of airline corporate social responsibility and its impact on airline reputation and passenger satisfaction. Over 1,300 passenger responses were analyzed using the partial least squares model. The results indicate that the perception of corporate social responsibility influences airline reputation, customer satisfaction, and ultimately, customer loyalty. The findings suggest that focusing on corporate social responsibility initiatives leads to enhanced likeability among airline passengers above and beyond offering quality service. Yet, this encouragement may be based on data about entrepreneurship from non-refugee populations, particularly those who do not experience the common traumas of forced relocation.
