Este trabajo tiene la finalidad de difundir el anteproyecto de un sistema de apoyo a la toma de decisiones, que se desarrolló para la Gerencia de Atención al Usuario y Control Operativo del Servicio, del Organismo de Control del Agua de Buenos Aires. El mismo, está orientado a monitorear la gestión de reclamos de usuarios y el funcionamiento y modernización de sus departamentos regionales.

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo dar cuenta sobre los antecedentes y perspectivas de impulso de las regiones y/o delegaciones del Organismo de Control del Agua de Buenos Aires (OCABA), como así también, examinar los criterios de delegación y/o regionalización con las funciones que, por norma, pudieran habérseles asignado. Entre los principales desafíos asumidos, intentamos realizar un análisis de los principales hitos normativos que fueron modificando el accionar de los distintos organismos que evolucionaron hasta originar el OCABA. Global Cities Are Coastal Cities Too: Paradox In Sustainability?, Herman L. Boschken

Worldwide, most global cities are located in coastal zones, but a paradox of sustainability is especially striking for American global cities. This article examines such paradox drawn between globalization-induced development and coastal ecosystems. It focuses on two developmental components found principally in global cities: (1) the agglomeration of foreign waterborne commerce and global business services and (2) the accelerated activity and mobility habits of a global professional class. Despite formidable gaps in research, some anecdotal evidence suggests unique hazards exist for the coastal ecology as globalization pressures expand a global city’s urban footprint.

Climate change, understood as a statistically significant variation in the mean state of the climate or its variability, is the greatest environmental challenge of this generation (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, 2001). Marshfield is already being affected by changes in the climate that will have a profound effect on the town’s economy, public health, coastal resources, natural features, water systems, and public and private infrastructure.
