Social Workers' Perceptions Of Barriers To Father Involvement In Case Planning In San Bernardino County Department Of Children's Services, Deborah Ann Kay, Tina Marguerite Wright-Ervin

The purpose of this study was to examine social workers perceptions of barriers to the involvement of fathers in case planning. Two focused groups were conducted utilizing a sample of eleven social workers from two Children and Family Services offices in San Bernardino County. Participants were asked to express their opinions on what the barriers to father involvement have been in their work experience. Ultimately, the study found that social worker bias, systemic bias, paternity issues, and father's lack of motivation are the four major barriers to father involvement.

In the critically acclaimed television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, writer-director Joss Whedon revises the trope of monster slaying into a contemporary feminist Slayer mythology. This thesis explores how Buffy's Slayer mythology revises gender conventions performed by Greek Demigods myths, specifically Apollodorus' rendition of the myths in the Library of Greek Mythology.

This thesis studies how women rate a man's attractiveness, according to his investments of time or money in a related or unlrelated child, the man himself or another adult. The findings demonstrate that possessing and exhibiting creativity is a powerful tool in attracting females to males, sometimes more powerful than sharing monetary resources.

This thesis investigated both evolutionary and social-cognitive hypotheses regarding butch and femme lesibans' subjective distress to imagining a romantic partner's emotional and sexual infidelity.
