Examines significant films in the ancient epic canon from a queer theoretical viewpoint to survey the extent of atypical gender formations within the genre. Examines the perceptions of correctional officers on recruitment, retention, and promotion processes within the Rhode island Department of Corrections. Studies the extent to which gender, and to a lesser extent, race, impact officers at all three stages of their careers.
