This article discusses the role of social media towards library and information science (LIS) students’ information behaviour in responding health issues. This is a quantitative study with survey method to collect the data. The survey was distributed to LIS students of Universitas Indonesia in March 2020. The result shows that social media affects students’ information behaviour. The finding also shows that almost all of the students could fulfil their information needs and could distinguish original information and hoaxes on social media, and students did not directly disseminate the information before reading the whole content of the information carefully. This article discusses about information seeking behavior of 12th grade students of SMA Negeri 26 Jakarta to pursue higher education. This article also discusses obstacles found during the process of information searching. This is a qualitative research with observation and interview as methods to collect data. The result shows that all informants conducted searching about higher education in the same way with what was stated by David Ellis (1993) started with starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring, extracting, verifying, and ending.

Searching for lecture materials through digital media is more widely used compared to conventional media. Information literacy means being able to evaluate and combine information. The rapid development of information technology now requires students to be able to follow it. However, with a poverty percentage of 16.45%, Bengkulu Province has a more significant challenge to catch up. It is important to analyze how the relationship between digital information literacy and self-direct learning for students in weak areas of the Sumatra islands. This research was conducted using a qualitative research with a case study method in one of the special libraries in South Jakarta, namely the Chandra Widodo library. The result of this study is that in fact various kinds of inter-library activities such as discussion, book review, and seminars in the library are examples of knowledge sharing activities.
