Harper & Brothers’ Family And School District Libraries, 1830-1846., Robert S. Freeman
Libraries Faculty and Staff Scholarship and Research
In the 1830s, at the dawn of mass-market publishing, J. & J. Harper of New York began publishing several libraries, including Harper’s Family Library and Harper’s School District Library.
