In June 2015, AmaTerra Environmental, Inc. began an intensive archeological survey for the Farm-toMarket (FM) 723 expansion project, north of the City of Rosenberg, Fort Bend County, Texas (CSJ# 0188-09-040). Work was delayed due to a lack of right-of-entry (ROE) into portions of the project area. After ROE was granted, archaeological survey was completed in late August of 2017. The total project length is approximately 9.3 miles, or about 228.11 acres, of which 97.9 acres are proposed new Rightof-Way (ROW). AmaTerra conducted the archeological survey under Texas Antiquities Permit No. 7293.

Gray & Pape, Inc. of Houston, Texas was contracted by BIO-WEST, Inc. of Houston, Texas to conduct an intensive pedestrian cultural resources survey of two proposed water line segments (North Segment and South Segment) totaling 6.7 kilometers (4.4 miles) in length, and a waste water treatment plant covering 6.6 hectares (16.2 acres) in Fort Bend County, Texas. Portions of the project area are on property owned by Sienna Plantation Municipal Utility District Number 1 and the City of Missouri City. In March 2017, Gray & Pape, Inc., of Houston, Texas, conducted mechanical backhoe scraping and trenching on property adjacent to Oyster Creek within undeveloped areas within the Aliana Subdivision, Fort Bend County, Texas. The backhoe testing was conducted to investigate a total of seven anomalies identified using ground penetrating radar during previous investigations conducted in 2006 and 2007. These seven anomalies contained radar signatures that were consistent with possible human burials and thus were considered to possibly be burials associated with the yet undiscovered location of the Kirk’s Point Cemetery. On behalf of the Texas Department of Transportation, SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) conducted an intensive archeological survey on December 16, 2016, of approximately 87.5 acres of existing right-of-way (ROW) along Farm-to-Market road (FM) 1463 near Katy, Texas, for the purpose of upgrading and widening the roadway. Investigations occurred along FM 1463 between Interstate Highway (IH) 10 and FM 359. The total project area for roadway improvements constitutes 115.4 acres within new and existing ROW; however, access was limited to the 87.5 acres of existing ROW; access to 27.9 acres comprising new ROW was not available.
