The United Nation Children’s Fund has programs and initiatives involving various stakeholders and the active participation of audiences worldwide, so communication becomes a crucial aspect of the organization's operations especially in increasing public involvement. This study aims to identify the role of opinion leader UNICEF—especially the initiation of Generation Unlimited—through message types in its communication process on Twitter to increase public engagement using a mix-method design through big data analytics and content analysis. This article aims to reveal the social network of an anticorruption movement via social media by showing the key actors, exchange of messages, and dynamics of the inter-temporal communication network. The anticorruption movement seems to be developing in line with increasing public awareness and the support of information and communications technology. By applying social network analysis on Twitter with the hashtag #koruptorkoknyaleg, study results indicated that a social network was formed in order to facilitate public voices pertaining to the issue of corruption. Within humanitarian discourse, there is a prevailing narrative: the powerful liberal heroes are saving the helpless, weak victims. However, the beginning of the 21st century marks the expansion of the digital revolution throughout lesser-developed states. Growing access to the Internet has enabled aid recipients to communicate with the outside world, giving them an unprecedented opportunity to reshape discourses surrounding humanitarianism.
