This article considers how player interactions with religious and ethnic markers, create
a globalized game space in the mobile game Florence (2018). Florence is a multiaward-
winning interactive novella game with story-integrated minigames that weave
play experiences into the narrative. The game, in part, explores love, loss, and
rejuvenation as relatable experiences. Simultaneously, the game produces a unique
experience for each player, as they can refract the game narrative through their own
cultural, identitarian lens. The game assumes the shared cultural space of the player,

This article reviews and analyses factors impacting the evolution of the internet, the web, and social media channels, charting historic trends and highlight recent technological developments. The review comprised a deep search using electronic journal databases. Articles were chosen according to specific criteria with a group of 34 papers and books selected for complete reading and deep analysis. The 34 elements were analysed and processed using NVIVO 12 Pro, enabling the creation of dimensions and categories, codes and nodes, identifying the most frequent words, cluster analysis of the terms, and creating a word cloud based on each word's frequency. This article draws on the sociology of expectations to examine the construction of expectations of ‘ethical AI’ and considers the implications of these expectations for communication governance. We first analyse a range of public documents to identify the key actors, mechanisms and issues which structure societal expectations around artificial intelligence (AI) and an emerging discourse on ethics. We then explore expectations of AI and ethics through a survey of members of the public. Finally, we discuss the implications of our findings for the role of AI in communication gover- nance.
