This article has been designed to examine personal integrative needs from social media among information professionals in the conceptual framework of uses and gratification theory. Personal integrative type need includes elements of both cognitive and affective needs and relates to firming credibility, respect, status, confidence and stability Gratification sough and gratification obtained are two distinct components of the uses and gratification theory. For this quantitative research, study a self-administered survey questionnaire was used to collect data from the participants of the study. Multiple voices from educational and professional arenas have called for change in the way in which public relations undergraduates are prepared to navigate complex communication challenges in the 21st century. Some scholars have advanced leadership as a way to address this change, identifying the undergraduate public relations curriculum as the ideal place to introduce future practitioners to leadership as a way to better prepare them to initiate and participate in positive social change in complex contexts.
