This draft strategy was developed by the Department of Fisheries, Western Australia, hereafter known as the “Department of Fisheries” which has responsibility for managing fish resources (within Territorial waters out to 12 nautical miles) on behalf of the Commonwealth Department of Transport and Regional Services (DoTARS), through the applied Fish Resources Management Act (FRMA) (WA)(CI) (the “Applied Act”).
