Gsu Alumni Portal, Vemuri Vinusha Chowdary, Sairam Dasu, Siva Machineni Oct 2015

Gsu Alumni Portal, Vemuri Vinusha Chowdary, Sairam Dasu, Siva Machineni

All Capstone Projects

The main objective of GSU alumni portal web application is to allow old and new students of a university to communicate with each other. The application allows students to register and then search the data based on different criteria. Also it has the benefit of having a centralized database and up to date information. A user can easily obtain information about other registered users. This application is deployed using Cloud computing (Microsoft Azure) and nothing is managed locally. The administrator is responsible for maintaining information of students. When a student submits the registration form, administrator will complete the verification process …

Real-Time Detection System For Suspicious Urls, Krishna Prasad Chouty, Anup Chandra Thogiti, Kranthi Sudha Vudatha Oct 2015

Real-Time Detection System For Suspicious Urls, Krishna Prasad Chouty, Anup Chandra Thogiti, Kranthi Sudha Vudatha

All Capstone Projects

Twitter is prone to malicious tweets containing URLs for spam, phishing, and malware distribution. Conventional Twitter spam detection schemes utilize account features such as the ratio of tweets containing URLs and the account creation date, or relation features in the Twitter graph. These detection schemes are ineffective against feature fabrications or consume much time and resources. Conventional suspicious URL detection schemes utilize several features including lexical features of URLs, URL redirection, HTML content, and dynamic behavior. However, evading techniques such as time-based evasion and crawler evasion exist. In this paper, we propose WARNINGBIRD, a suspicious Real-Time URL detection system for …

Employee Hr Connect Portal, Aparna Allusivala, Sindhura Reddy Mandadi, Sri Vidya Rani Mudunuri Oct 2015

Employee Hr Connect Portal, Aparna Allusivala, Sindhura Reddy Mandadi, Sri Vidya Rani Mudunuri

All Capstone Projects

Employee HR Connect Portal is essential in order to track employee time, project time. This portal can be hosted on any java based web server or application server and will be accessible via web-browsers. This portal is very user- friendly. Employee HR Connect Portal will be a useful tool to identify supply and demand of human resources. We have three main modules to maintain records of employee, department and project. Employee HR Connect Portal is very helpful for auditing. Through this portal we can judge the potentiality of the employee.

Nanoencapsulated Copper Pthalocyanine As Photodynamic Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, Prathima Arrabelly Jul 2012

Nanoencapsulated Copper Pthalocyanine As Photodynamic Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, Prathima Arrabelly

All Capstone Projects

The growing resistance developed by microbes towards antimicrobial agents has driven our focus on developing alternative treatment modalities such as Photodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy (PACT). It would be difficult for the microbes to develop resistance towards singlet oxygen generated during the PACT process. Photosensitizers are the vehicles of the transfer and translation of light energy into a type II chemical reaction (singlet oxygen generation) in photodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy. PACT is proposed as a potential, low cost approach to treatment of locally occurring infection.

Photodynamic inactivation (PDI) of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus has been studied in cultures treated with photoactivated copper …

Folate Nanoparticle Conjugates, Safwat A. Masood Apr 2012

Folate Nanoparticle Conjugates, Safwat A. Masood

All Capstone Projects

The folate receptor is overexpressed on the surface of numerous cancer cell types including those of the breast, lung, kidney, ovary, and brain. Recent interest has exploded in the use of folate to deliver payloads and imaging agents to folate receptor positive cancer cells based on several positive clinical trials including phase III trials of EC-145, which is poised to become the first folate targeted, FDA approved drug. Given the success of EC-145 and numerous other agents in the pharmaceutical pipeline, there remains a great interest in the exploitation of this technology in the delivery of nanoscale agents to folate …

Improved Analytical Analysis Of A Pressurized Water Reactor Secondary Loop, Megan J. Holba Apr 2011

Improved Analytical Analysis Of A Pressurized Water Reactor Secondary Loop, Megan J. Holba

All Capstone Projects

In the nuclear industry, the addition of poly-acrylic acid (PAA) as a dispersant to the secondary cooling loop in pressurized water reactors (PWRs) has been found beneficial in keeping the corroded Fe in solution. The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of the addition of PAA to Braidwood Nuclear Power Station and other plants, to show the benefits of PAA implementation and to evaluate the current method for Fe detection. The current analytical method for the X-Ray Fluorescence Detector has an upper detection limit of 5,000 μg Fe, however, the results frequently exceed the upper limit. In …

Synthesis And Analytical Evaluation Of Folate Conjugates For Use In Cancer Cell Detection, Sneha Reddy Kuthuru Oct 2010

Synthesis And Analytical Evaluation Of Folate Conjugates For Use In Cancer Cell Detection, Sneha Reddy Kuthuru

All Capstone Projects

Recent clinical studies have shown the importance of folate receptor in drug delivery system as they increase the potency and reduce toxicity of many cancer therapies. The folate receptor alpha ( FR-a) binds with high affinity for folic acid and serves for receptor mediated transport of folate into cells. Folate is necessary for DNA metabolism and thus it is speculated that rapidly dividing cancer cells have an increased requirement for folic acid. It is known that FR-a levels are elevated in specific malignant diseases (solid tumors, leukemia) and thus the FR receptor serves as useful targeting moiety for the diagnosis …
